This doctor sits between a daycare and some empty building behind a Mexican meat market and not the best part of town. Now this still doesnt deter me from going to this vet but as soon as I stepped inside I was greeted by the actual veterinarian himself. This appointment was scheduled literally 20 minutes before I got there it was basically a walk in There seems like there was no staff in the building whatsoever no receptionist. Or vet techs. I didnt hear any animals either or see any animals. Also there were no other clients during my entire visit. My dog had an infection in her eye and she was also not eating. After spending money for the initial check up he recommended A $350 blood test. I said that she had had all of her shots and her blood levels were fine because they were just tested. So he goes to tell me that I should have her nails clipped which cost $25. And he gave me some basic amoxicillin. He did not do anything about the eye infection when it clearly needed treatment with some eye drop solution. Never used this vet again he cut my dogs toenails so short that she bled was careless and barely talked about what needed to be done. This is the most unprofessional veterinarian that I have ever been too. If you want to spend a bunch of money on treatment go somewhere else because this vet is a con artist

My name is Shirley the cat, a plus sized puss whos a trifle too fat! Started seeing Dr. Block about one year ago for a check-up,shots, the usual show. Now I was a street cat for about five years and then was adopted by some old folks who allayed all my fears. Upon meeting the Doc for the very first time, I wasnt impressed and got a bit out of line. I scratched and bit him, drew some blood too. But he didnt seem to mind and started to coo. "Shirley," my dear, you are such a beauty, naughty yet playful, a definite cutie!" Maybe I got this guy wrong, hes not so bad. Im sorry I attacked you, please dont be sad. Youre a pretty cool dude for a Vet so Ill give some advice. Stay away from dogs, cause theyll give you lice. Ill come back to see you and tell all my chums, Ive found a Vet who isnt a bum! Many purrs to you and your staff! S" P.S. My human family ("servants") love you too.

Since my first vet closed I have been in search for a vet that I was comfortable with, in a clean environment, and who cared about the animals and their owners. After calling around to other vets, I was so excited that Dr. Block answered and spoke with me on the phone that I booked an initial visit the same day! When I arrived, he was so kind to my dog who is shakey around vets and personally gave me a tour of the entire facility. The examination and vaccinations went smoothly and he patiently answered all of my questions. Dr. Block even kindly discounted my first visit. I am so glad to have found a veterinarian in the area and will be returning in the future. I recommend him to any that are looking for a vet.

I have taken my pets here for a couple years, and will not take them to anywhere else. Dr Block actually cares about your animal, not your wallet. He takes care of them, feels bad for them when sick, and all of my pets have taken to him. He has handled 2 life or death emergency visits, and I simply cant recommend him enough. While his office and location may not be as clean and lab feeling as other vets, I have less wait there than anywhere else, my animal is taken care of better, and they spare no expense when it is necessary for your pet. He is also reasonably priced and will work with you if needed. If you love your animal take them here, if you dont, take them somewhere else.

I cannot rate Dr. Block and his office high enough! We took our dog to Cottonwood Animal Hospital for a 2nd opinion after learning she had a tumor in her spleen. Dr. Block not only made surgery an affordable option, but he and his assistant, Kelly, truly care about the animals they serve and put "quality of life" at the top of their list. The surgery went great and our dog is recovering well. We will continue to take her to see Dr. Block and Kelly for all of her veterinarian needs. If you are looking for a holistic approach to veterinarian medicine, this is a great place!

If you want excellent care for your pets, this is the vet to see. We have been seeing Dr Block for 12 years and I can honestly say, he is the best vet in Dallas. To be honest, the 5 star review after review do not do him justice. He is a true asset to the community and to veternary medicine. Anyone considering a new vet, "roy rogers" obviously has financial issues. The pricing is very fair and the care is the best you can get. I have refered five people to this vet and they ALL say what a great Dr, Dr Block is. If my dogs could read, they would bite "Roy" in the ass.

First time visit with Dr. Block last Saturday. Took my Cocker Spaniel for a general exam and also to address her painful ears. My girl was very uneasy at first and Dr. Block loved on her and then let her roam around the office freely while he reviewed her records. She finally relaxed and he did his exam. Dr. Block then performed a test and showed me how to treat her ear infection and keep it away once it cleared. By the time we left, my girls tail was wagging and I was really relieved that it was such a good experience. Highly recommend.

One of my cats hurt himself during the storm last night and needed to have one of his teeth pulled so he could eat. They got us in Saturday morning about 10:00 and by 11:00, we were back home and Goober was ready to try out his new weight loss food. The doctor & staff were great. Thanks again. Dr. Block is awesome, and particularly so with cats. He is the vet I have always looked for; many of my past pet doctors are dog people, or dont truly understand cats. He is happy to take the time to really listen and talk to you about your pets needs. His office is quiet and small, and deserves your business.

Dr Block is the most caring vet I have ever known. Every animal in his care is not just doctored or hospitalized but loved. He picks them up and loves on them from the get go. If you love your pet bring them where they will be loved and given the best possible care.
