I cant praise this team or this clinic enough. They know what they are doing, and are also happy to discuss alternative treatments for your animals condition if you need that as well. From the front office staff to the medical staff, they are friendly, professional, and above all, they care about animals. Our cat has enjoyed a terrific life thanks to Rutherford, and to Dr. Rowan in particular, who has a real way with older (OK, really, really old) animals and who really has a great instinct for treatment. With her advice and guidance, our CRF cat returned to feeling better and acting younger than he had in years -- I know he may have been exceptional, but I credit her treatment and her understanding of the older animal to giving him an extra year and a half (so far) of a great life. These folks really care about your animals as if they were there own. That says a lot.

I made several visits for a few months when my cat became ill. Dr. Kerry Young did everything in her power to find out what was wrong and keep my cat comfortable. The prices are reasonable and they will give you a quote for everything beforehand if you would like. The atmosphere is very calm and peaceful. You can tell that the dogs that come to board here love it. All the staff is very caring and pleasant. I ended up having to put my cat to sleep and I was glad it was at this place, which is more homely that a hospital. They let me be by her side to the end. I even got a card from Dr. Young afterwards and the hospital made a donation to an animal charity in my cats name. This place is a wonderful place and you can tell it has been that way for a long time.

I cant say enough wonderful things about this clinic or Dr. Rowan. I came to Rutherford while my normal vet was out of town, and I plan on going here from now on. My cat is everything to me, and Dr. Rowan has been the most caring and wonderful vet Ive ever encountered. She cares immensely, and she takes time to explain everything and give multiple options. She has followed up multiple times to check on my cat, sat on the phone with me to talk about food and treatment, and Ive never once felt rushed.

Ive had nothing but good experiences with my three dogs and cat here. The staff cares about the animals, and tries hard to accomodate difficult pets. Some of the younger vets will try to suggest treatments, especially when it comes to end of life, but I do appreciate the option even if we dont use it. Good people trying hard...

Theres not many people I trust my fur babies with, but I never hesitate with these guys. I have literally never had a bad experience there. Over the years my dogs have stayed boarded for a week, had surgeries, dental work, broken bones- you name it- and these folks have always been professional and friendly. Love them!

I had to take my dog to Rutherford and they were luckily able to get her in. Dr. Washington was great and explained everything to me about my baby girl. The staff is friendly and the location is great if you live in East Dallas or Downtown.

This week my Onyx was hit by a car. Dr. Washington and her staff took very good care of my baby. Although Onyx had to be put down, the staff showed love and compassion as our family went through a very hard time.

I bring my dog here for vaccines and occasional boarding. Cant say Ive had any issues and the cost is very reasonable. Its right next to the dallas fairgrounds and is kind of easy to miss because its one way.
