If you like your vet care expensive and your veterinarian unreasonable this place is just for you. Theyre much more concerned with your credit card than with your dog. When I first brought my 8-week puppy to them I supplied the dogs date of birth. The desk staff recorded it incorrectly. I told the vet this as she entered the exam room. As is the typical attitude from staffers at this facility, she ignored me. I had to all but remove the syringe from her hand when she tried to give the puppy a rabies shot 4 weeks too early. Then a year later I was provided shampoo that I was told to use weekly as a long term solution to skin allergies. When I came back 6 months later to pick up more shampoo I was told an exam was required to provide it. They really enjoy taking a $40 transaction and making it a $190 transaction via a "required visit". When I challenged this ridiculousness I was told they had to make sure his skin wasnt getting worse. Why would I request more shampoo if the condition hadnt improved? This demonstrates the real problem with this office. They dont work with you to ensure your dog is healthy. They are an obstacle to care that can only be traversed with a monetary transaction. If the vets manner were awesome, maybe I could get over the mistakes, the rude front desk attendants, and the cost. But the vet I saw was all but lifeless. Smiling and being friendly was not her strong suit, and seemed dismissive when I asked questions. So I give this place two stars. 1 star for not killing my puppy and one for the really nice facility.

This place is THE WORST! I brought my dog here a couple of months ago when we moved to the area. I have probably the most low maintenance Golden Retriever ever and have never and any real need for the vet outside of getting him neutered and annual shots. Due to the past 2 years without having a real winter, he has had skin allergies. We treated them last year with an allergy pill and this year needed something stronger. So when we visited All Creatures Vet, they gave me a prescription that was roughly $160 which I thought was high but fine, my total for this visit was over $300. When I called for the refill they said he needed blood work (which was not mentioned on his prescription or when we first visited) so another $110 and then mentioned he would need blood work again in 6 months. Also, when she gave me the quote for just a months supply it did not add up to the original price. None of it made sense. I called my previous vet who informed me they would not require blood work for this allergy medicine. Seriously people this is for ALLERGIES!!! Why am I jumping through hoops and being charged so much. I talked to a lady on the phone who was "sorry" and could give me a 30 day supply w/o blood work so when I drove up there I found out in fact they were not going to refill it and I not only wasted my time I could tell she couldnt care less. Now my poor dog is pulling his hair out suffering from allergies and I get to start all over somewhere else.

Some vet clinics are bad is certain areas, like the reception or vet asst. but this one is bad all around. Boarding - If you want to bring toys or towels for your pet, dont expect to get it back. The dogs only get walked 3 times a day and 2 times on Sunday. I dont know about you but my dogs have to go a lot more then that a day. What more do those people do? Feed and walk dogs so why not take them out longer? And good god. When they took me back for a tutor boy did it stink. You would have thought they never cleaned it. Vet wise - I could be the only car in the parking lot besides the people that work there and I would still have to wait over an hour for a simple check up. It seems like they just want to charge and arm and a leg so they can pay off their big facility. Yeah its a nice looking place, but why does it need to be so big? A exam alone is 50 dollars so getting everything else done is ridiculous. Why dont I just put a down payment on the owners car? I recommend going any other vet but there. But there are a few that dont charge out the butt and are very nice people and will treat you pet well.

My experience with veterinarians in the past has been very positive. I find that people who go in to veterinary medicine generally love animals and love people. Not All Creatures! These are animal profiteers. Dont be fooled by the nice facility. They board dogs in tight cages. In the past two years I have found the service to be quite poor. Despite scheduled appointments Ive had long waits. They dont return phone calls. They dont have paper ready as promised. It seems all they want to do frequent and unnecessary tests. And their pricing is well above market. Their lab is associated with Antech Diagnostics--the Beverly Hills based outfit that teaches vets how to boost revenues by scaring well-intentioned pet owners into an array of lab tests. Ive stuck with them because of the convenience of having the chart in one place but bad service only lasts so long. I do not trust these people.

I have to say that my only "complaint" is that the prices are pretty high. But the vets and staff certainly give you your moneys worth in high quality care. The staff is friendly, thorough, attentive, detailed, and this is the only place Ive taken my dogs to where they remained relaxed upon entering. Other vet office visits have resulted in super high anxiety in my pets. The staff maintains very high standards of cleanliness. Everyone in there is professional, friendly and eager to help. Dr. Middendorf is knowledgeable, gentle and takes excellent care of my dogs whenever I bring them in. I wish such high quality care didnt have such a high cost, but I just cant bring myself to take my pets anywhere else...If I did, I think Id just be sorely disappointed with substandard care. So All Creatures is where I take my four-legged family members and I recommend them every chance I get!

A routine teeth cleaning became a tooth extraction. So the $300 estimate became a $400-600 estimate, which is somewhat understandable. However, they could only estimate that the extraction would be between $100-$300? Then the final bill became $700, which means the tooth extraction came to $400. Even with the wide range they gave themselves, they still could not stay within the margin. Keep in mind, we paid $500 a couple of months ago for the annual blood work and shots. I understand that costs get higher with a 12 year-old dog, but clearly something is very suspicious with the charges and their estimates are not accurate. The staff does seem competent. So if you have money to burn, the services rendered are probably sufficient. We can not spend $1200 a year on a dog so we will be going elsewhere.

I have always found the staff to be helpful. The care that my cat kids receive is awesome. My elder cat was always treated like the queen she was, and her medical care focused on her quality of life, which is what I wanted. Treatment options were always explained but I never felt pressure to subject her to invasive treatments. Dr. Middendorf and the staff were so kind when her time came and she was surrounded by caring and loving people. I take 2 of my kids to the Windhaven location and I love the staff. Lisa is always professional, but its her willingness to always go the extra mile that brings me to the clinic. The techs are professional and kind. Ive had vets all over the country and really like the care my cat kids receive here.
