I would NOT recommend this clinic to anyone. I recently moved to the area and chose to try out this vet based on the great reviews. Let me start by saying the front office staff and techs were very nice and accommodating. However Dr. Wild was HORRIBLE. My dog is a rescue and has a history of abuse, so she doesnt trust people and takes her time warming up. I made sure to let everyone know of her history. The tech was great and took her time and gave my dog treats until she stopped barking and was calm. Dr. Wild on the other hand, came in to the room, stood there while my dog barked for 2 minutes and then told me she "didnt have time to deal with this" and commanded the tech to muzzle her. I dont mind if my dog is muzzled, because I understand its just for safety, but I expect a little effort before that happens. During the exam, Dr. Wild did nothing to calm my dog down, other than putting some essential oils on her ears. My dog was so stressed that she expressed her anal glands. I truly have never seen my dog in so much distress. The whole experience left me in tears and out $100. After my visit, I attempted to reach out to the other vet, Dr. Holt, to express my disappointment in the visit and received no response. I hope no one else has to go through the horrible treatment my dog and I received from Dr. Wild.

My parents had been taking our pets to TCAC since I was five years old. When I moved out and moved to east Plano I continued to the drive to TCAC. The staff and vet techs are so sweet and understanding and gentle. They are great with our pets. When my fiance and I got a new cat we decided to take her to his old vet in Plano since we already had four going to TCAC. We took her there for one year. She had/has health issues. I just didnt like the way she was handled there. It felt impersonal and the office never seemed to be open. It was always a different person at the front desk. With The Colony Animal Clinic you know whos going to greet you. They all know you by name and pets names. Dr. Holt has been the best vet tech in The Colony for decades. He knows his stuff. Dr. Wild, well, shes amazing. Very personable. A great educator as well. Shes taught me things about my cats I didnt know. Ive recommended TCAC to friends before and they still go there. I once suggested TCAC to someone whos pup had Parvo. He had gone to three clinics and all three wanted to put the pup down or charge outrageous prices. I told him about TCAC. He went there and they helped save his Parvo puppy. He was very, very thankful. Obviously I cannot say enough about The Colony Animal Clinic. :)

My family has been taking our dogs to The Colony Animal Clinic for 15 years now. We have never received anything but the best service. Weve had 4 dogs in this time and out of the 4, three of them have had severe issues. One of our dogs had a tumor that needed surgery to ensure he didnt have cancer, one of our dogs got a hold of a bottle of ibuprofen and needed dialysis on his kidneys, and the most severe was our baby German Shepherd. The day we brought him home he got severely ill. We took him in and they found he had 3 different types of worms and parvo. They told us the odds were only about 50% that hed make it with all these issues, but they worked their magic and took such amazing care of him that not only did he make it, but he is thriving more than 2 years later. We STRONGLY recommend this clinic not only because of the skills of the people working there, but because of how much they care about not only the animals, but the people as well. I could go on and on, but I think my message is clear... they are the BEST!!

The most caring staff ever with our past and current pets. Past - my sister found The Colony Animal Clinic (TCAC) when she needed acupuncture for her ailing dog. We followed later because our then-vet missed a diagnosis with our dog. TCAC had (then and now) the latest equipment and diagnosed bone cancer. This loving staff helped us say goodbye both of the dogs. They shared in our sorrow, helped our pets pass with dignity and no pain. We told them we would be back when we got another pet. Well, 4 years later we were adopted by a sweet stray, very chill kitten. On our first visit, we received a notebook re: his care, records, etc.! 1 1/2 years and a few visits later, they are so gentle with him when we come for tune-ups. Organized, quality clinic!

The Colony Animal Clinic is a 5 star veterinary clinic. They have cared for our dog for years and tried many different options when our dog became ill that no other veterinary clinic ever considered. When our dog passed away this past May, the staff was caring and showed great compassion during this hard time. We have since bought a new dog and will take this dog to The Colony Animal Clinic for her care too. Dr. Fred Holt is an amazing doctor and the staff at The Colony Animal Clinic has excellent customer service skills and they are warm, friendly, and caring. If you are not seeing good results with your current practitioner, consider Dr. Holt and his staff.

The Colony Animal Clinic is the place I take my dog, Abbey, for great care. Dr. Holt is wonderful and kind. He takes a genuine interest in Abbey and the best care for her at all stages of her life. The Clinic is full of warm and helpful people from the people out front who are friendly and fun to the assistants who help make your pets experience as easy as possible. I have moved to Plano since I first started seeing Dr. Holt, and I continue to drive back to The Colony for the excellent care given there. I would recommend The Colony Animal Clinic to everyone!

I WISH I HAD MORE STARS TO GIVE TO THIS PLACE! This is such a wonderful clinic! The techs and the vets are amazing and super professional! They truly care for the animals and they take the time to examine them thoroughly - not only that but they actually take the time to teach you and let you know about how maintain your pet happy and healthy. Ive had a rough time finding a good vet for my dog but after coming here I dont have to look anywhere else! I am BEYOND happy and satisfied with the Colony Animal Clinic! Thank you for all you do!!!

I have been taking my kitties to Dr. Fred Holt since 1984. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is quite compassionate, loving, very knowledgeable, and understands the love a pet "parent" has for its "child." He has taken care of my two kitties their entire lives, and I am going to introduce him to my newest "family member." Dr. Holt does not upsell all the add-ons that some veterinary clinics do. I appreciate that very much since I am a pet lover on a budget. Hats off to the best veterinarian, Dr. Fred Holt.
