As a veterinarian myself, I can appreciate the fact that a Board certified veterinary internal medicine specialist is available "in house". My dogs and I are lucky to have such a specialist available, and Helena is very lucky to have such a specialist in town. Helena has only one, the State has 2. Most towns and even many larger cities do not have a "boarded internist" All of the veterinarians at Montana Veterinary Specialists (MVS) are fabulous and work very well together for the health of their clients pets, ensuring the best of care regardless of the problem!! The diagnostic tools available at MVS are second to none in Helena and the veterinarians that use them are remarkable and incredibly well trained in their use. The staff is great, respectful, knowledgeable and kind. I (and my dogs) couldnt give them higher marks.......

Ive used MVS twice now, first for my disabled Aussie mix to have pre-operative screening prior to major orthepedic surgery with Dr. Albrecht in Bozeman, and just recently for ultrasound and biopsies on my elderly shepherd mix who my regular vet suspected might have cancer. The veterinarians at MVS are very knowledgeable and provide excellent care, but perhaps most important, they treated my dogs as though they were their dogs, and they treated this worried human companion with much patience & kindness. I would recommend MVS to any animal owner needing top notch diagnostics and veterinary care - they are WONDERFUL! We especially appreciated the follow-up and consideration shown by Dr. Britt Culver, although I am sure ALL the vets at MVS are terrific. Thank you for your great care of my girls!

While they seem medically competent, they could use some customer service refresher training. You dont give a brand new patient (new to Helena) a cancer diagnosis, leave it with, "let us know if you need anything," and then not be able to fit your pet into the schedule or seem at all concerned when there are issues that need to be addressed right away. (And yes, a former vet that we had to drive 2 hours to see said that this was an issue that needed to be addressed right away and that couldnt wait 7-10 days.)

Dr. Brenda Culver is so great with pets and their people! Our 14 year old cocker had surgery a week ago, and though Id moved to Boise, there wasnt anyone else Id trust with my dogs health. Dr. Culver was so great at returning calls and keeping us apprised of Kallies condition while she was in the hospital. Shes thorough - great at answering questions, and is so gentle and sweet with animals. Kallie is recuperating well - and for that we thank you Dr. Culver!
