Horrible staff experience ...! In 2012 i was treat by Dr. Ravry the father at Northside Hodpital with my current health insurance provider. This year I have experience stomac issues and my general doctor directed me to contact a Gastrointerologist. Obviously, I decide to contact Dr Ravry office to schedule an appointment. I spoke to Kamy and other people from the front office. I provided information for my insurance carrier and kamy schedule my appointment a month an a half later because they did. It have availability. Meanwhile, I was following a healthy diet waiting to see the doctor. Today 01/10/2017 I show up to my appointment and the front lady tell me that they do not take my insurance and if I wanted to be seeing it will be a self paid. Following, Sorry about that, there is nothing that we can do. I consider this very unprofessional and no- ethical . Such of bad experience ...

Dr. Ravry is a very nice man and doctor. However, his office is the most poorly run doctors office I have ever come across. I have only been in as a new patient and for a procedure and cant seem to get help as an existing patient. I have been hung up on, transferred and hung up on, transferred to the after hours answering service DURING business hours, called back by the wrong nurse, called to book an appt and the system was down, etc. I have been trying to schedule my yearly follow-up visit for 3 weeks now. I leave messages and no one responds or they just cant get it together. It took me 8 calls to finally get someone today who was not polite, so I didnt make an appointment and I am going to look for a new gastroenterologist tonight. Recommendations welcome!

I love Dr. Ravry Jr. but his staff is horrible!!!!!! They never answer the phones. When I was there this week, I could feel the tension between the front desk person having to "take over" for someone that wasnt in or was on vacation. She was huffing and puffing. I do like his 2 nurses. But the ladies behind the front desk are angry and non-responsive. I have had other issues in the past with getting records, getting return calls, getting perscriptions called in and they should be ashamed of how difficult they are to work with. Ive even written Dr. Ravry a letter detailing my frustration. At that point his nurse got VERY responsive. I hate having to write this here and I will take it down when I see any changes. Im a small business owner too.

Dr. Ravry (Senior) has been my fathers PCP since we moved here in the mid-80s. We live a little over an hour away from his office, but well never change doctors (until he decides to retire and then well switch to his son! Ha!). This doctor has literally saved my dads life on more than one occasion. His bedside manner is second to none. Hes very thorough with my dad and Im so grateful for him. His nurse, Mary, is such a sweet lady. Ive never had a problem with her returning calls about health concerns or medication refills. This family loves the Ravry group!

Dr. Mario Ravry is a good doctor but because of his staff I wont be returning. They are rude and unprofessional, completely careless about their patients. It takes anywhere between 2 to 3 calls to get a call back from them whenever a message is left, if they even return the call. It took them 10 days to get back to me with a lab result, completely ridiculous. In addition to having to listen to the medical staff having social/personal conversations during work hours. Its enough to make me want to find another practice.

Dr. Ravry Jr is very thorough however the nurses at the front desk arent as honest as they should be. They lied about sending over my pre-authorization form to my medical carrier to have it approved. I had to call Aetna on several occasions, even speaking with supervisors there to discover that Dr. Ravrys office never sent the form to them after I had been following up with them for a week and a half.
