I give 4 stars because the vetrinarians assistants have poor prioritization skills often leaving people waiting over an hour after their appointments to pay and leave. This makes for a lengthy 2-3 hour visit to the vet. The veterinarian herself does well enough and handles our pet respectfully. She did not catch or treat our cats autoimmune (allergy) issue a year ago on our first visit and I had to insist on his symptoms being allergy related. Our newest addition Loki has been experiencing symptoms of allergies and I wish that on our first visit I had been told "save yourself trouble and take your cat to the dermatologist to find out what hes allergic to". However because a vast majority of people are cheap and dont want to spend money on their pets vetensrians shy away from suggesting costly medical services. Instead we were instructed to try a food diet that was never going to work for us because our young cat has a bad tendency of getting out and eating the neighbors cat food. Furthermore we cant be certain that his allergies are food related. So back to the vet we go with a skin infection and severely itchy kitty. This time self educated to his condition and potential treatment options, he is treated appropriately With corticosteroids and antibiotics. I was told the best treatment is to keep Loki indoors only, which is not an option and I had to mention the autoimmune therapy as a treatment option which the provider strongly agreed with and said she didnt mention it due to its cost. However the auto immune therapy would allow Loki to go outside and potentially be exposed to his allergens without having allergic reactions. Unfortunately the closest dermatologist for pets is in SLC and they want to charge $160 for an initial appointment and then make us bring Loki back one month later for testing and diagnosing (additional $1,000) Which wouldnt be a problem if he wasnt already needing treatment for his current allergy related skin infection and needing corticosteroids to suppress his inflammatory response system to prevent further infection from his allergic reaction. We chose the less desirable blood allergy testing to hopefully begin auto immune therapy treatment sooner to help reign in his allergic reactions and help him live a better life. Only time will tell if we will have to take him to the specialist in SLC.

This place is awesome! The office itself is extremely nice, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Dr. Howard is great, and I never wouldve known my dog was sick if she hadnt insisted on routine testing that I was sure he didnt need. She and the techs also did a great job of calming my dog down when he was nervous about getting his blood drawn. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much Wasatch Hollow for helping keep my boy healthy and happy! Edit: It turns out that my dog had heartworms, and the treatment was very intensive and took several months. He was restricted to crate rest for nearly two months, which caused such intense boredom that he ate a toy, suffered a bowel obstruction, and after that, an infected catheter. I cant even count how many times I had to visit this hospital over those few months, but every single time they took such incredible care of my boy. I trust them with my dogs life, and I honestly think that he might not even have made it through this winter if it wasnt for Dr. Howard and her team. This place truly goes above and beyond!!

I was recommended to Dr. Howard by a coworker and I am so happy with my choice to bring in my two dogs, a Black Lab mix and a Pomeranian mix, to see her. The office is clean and kept. The staffs were pleasant and very helpful. I took my dogs in for their annual shots, a general checkup, and to get them microchipped. Dr. Howard was so awesome, when she was examining my black lab she actually sat on the ground with him. I have never had a veterinarian do that before. It was very refreshing. You can tell she really cares about animals; this is a career and a passion for her. I took my black lab in this morning to get his teeth cleaned. While he was there, I wanted my dog to be as comfortable as possible so I brought his blanket from home and asked if I could put it in the kennel with him. They understood my feelings and concern, and welcomed my slightly odd request quickly. I will be picking him up later today and I expect nothing but the best treatment from them and to my dog.

Not the best first experience due to office front desk. I needed bordatella vaccinations for my dogs before boarding. I am new to town and do not have a regular vet yet. When I called to schedule, I was told that an office visit was required. I said that I did not need that at this time, just the bordatella, and they waived the office visit requirement and said it would be $16 each. However, when I went to check out they charged $26 per bordatella since I did not have an office visit. I told them that was not what they told me on the phone but they did not change the price. Also they had me bring in my old vaccination records to copy and they would have let me leave without them if I had not asked for them back. The vet tech was great, office was neat and clean. Just frustrated with front desk.

Dr. Howard is a gem that Ogden, Utah is lucky to have. Her clinic is maybe a little more costly than others, but it is because of her technology and care. And it is 110% worth it. No vet Ive been to compares. I decided that I would go to her for my 10 year old "dog-ters" first tooth cleaning because of these google reviews (I was so nervous, but she is done, home, and in much better shape). She treated us like her only patient. She took so much time to walk me through a big procedure. Plus, her clinic is beautiful, pristine, and has the most high tech equipment. I also have seen how kindly she treats her employees. If you adore your pets and want only the best for them, youd do well to choose this vet. I am sure the associate vet she has there is also wonderful too.

My girlfriend and I thought we found our new neighborhood vet when this place first opened. new management is cold and demeaning and the doctor seems over worked and is not as warm as at first. I guess I get that because if I just opened a new vet clinic I would be nice at first. The last time we were here the nurse, Cindy was very flustered and unorganized. She could not find our name and claimed to not know the computers even though I have seen here there since the open. She even contradicted the doctor when she was not in the room and talked poorly on her fellow associates. Maybe my girlfriend went in on a bad day but I really hope they can work out these kinks or we will have to go back to our old burchcreek.

Dr. Howard is very caring! She spent time listening to me and what was going on with my dog. She had different options available for diagnostics depending on what I could afford. My dog requires an expensive medication, and she was upfront with me and told me it was less expensive buying it online. She even price shopped with me for it right in the room! Also, xrays and tests results are emailed right to you! I had to bring my human kiddos as well and she was great entertaining them and dealing too. Staff was warm, kind, and attentive. I have had to call for medication refills and go in for checkups and never had any problems.
