I have 4 cats and have been coming here for 4 years for routine vaccines because it is affordable. For more serious illnesses that require diagnoses, I take my cats to better clinics like Brickell Animal Hospital. Anyway, I took my cat in today for a basic allergy shot, she is allergic to chicken among other proteins. I walked into the exam room in which Dr. Marmesh (the male vet, there is a female one with the same name) was waiting and I proceeded to tell him what I was there for. He literally did not say more than 10 words to me the entire time. He dId not ask 1 question about my cat, did not try to understand what caused her allergic reaction and loss of fur or if she was allergic to any medication, not a single question or comment. He proceeds to inject her with a medicine and that was it. I was not told the name of this medicine or benefits of it. At the end of the brief appointment, I asked if he could write me a prescription for a specific hypoallergenic food so I could order it online (they did not sell it there), he asked if I wanted the dry or canned variety and I decided it would be good to have both and for 2 flavors for variety. He rudely replies "you want me to write you 4 scripts!?" with an irritated puff and look of disgust on his face. How rude! He is the one who is supposed to be suggesting suitable foods for my cat. I dont know who Im supposed to be getting prescriptions from if its not from my vet! It was a very unpleasant, akward, "you get what you pay for" visit and wont be returning. I paid $57 for the shot that lasts 2 weeks and Im pretty sure he added a charge for writing the prescription.

CHARGE 12 DOLLARS FOR A PRESRIPTION IF YOU DO NOT BUY THE MEDS FROM THEM FOR JUST 5 MONTHS!! SO YOU WILL HAVE TO GO 3 TIMES A YEAR FOR IT!!!! RIP OFF! I brought my dog here for a vaccinations and was told I needed to get heartworm prevention medication for him. They tried to sell me some brand I have never heard of for almost $90 for 7 months worth of medication. I said I will shop around and come back. I found a cheaper alternative for LESS than half online and when the internet store contacted the office for a prescription they were told them that I had to go pick one up in person trying to make it more difficult for me to get the cheaper alternative. I called and said I could come by and pick it up. I picked up the prescription and the girl tells me "oh it will be 12 dollars" I thought she was kidding. I have never in my life seen such a thing. If you do not buy from us then we charge you anyway? SCUMBAGS. AND THEY ONLY WROTE THE PRESCRIPTION OUT FOR 5 MONTHS!! When I asked why not a full year? She said that is what the doctor ordered. Okay so my dog will not need heartworm prevention in 5 months? Are you freakin kidding me? Just so I will not buy cheaper options online. They are overpriced and ridiculous. WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. IF THEY CARED ABOUT ANIMALS THEY WOULD NOT TRY TO CAPITALIZE ON SERVICES THEY DO NOT EVEN PROVIDE!

The WORST VET CLINIC IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD !!!!!!!!!!!! I TOOK MY DOG TO THEM CAUSE SHE WAS VERY WEAK AND WASNT BREATHING NORMALLY , AND I WALKED IN AND RIGHT AWAY I EXPLAIN TO THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY DOG AND THEY DAW HER THAT SHE WASNT BREATHING VERY WELL AND ALL AND I TOLD THEM IF THE VET COULD POSSIBLY SEE HER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HER AND THAT I WOULD PAY THEM EXTRA IF I HAD TO AND THEY SAID NO THAT I HAD TO WAIT FOR MY TURN , I WAS SOO SAD & NERVOUS !!!!!!!!!!!! I SAID TO MYSELF WELL LET ME JUST WAIT HERE CAUSE AT LEAST SHE WILL BE SEEM BY THE VET IN A LITTLE BIT AND IF I NOW LEAVE ILL TAKE LONGER GETTING TO ANOTHER PLACE SO I SAT DOWN AND WAITED , KNOWING THAT MY DOG NEEDED TO BE SEEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE THEY DIDNT CARE AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!! THEY HAD ME THERE WAITING FOR A LONG AND WHEN THE VET FINALLY SEES MY DOG SHE SAID OH YOU HAVE TO TAKE HER TO A ANIMAL HOSPITAL CAUSE SHE NEEDS OXYGEN , SHE HAD ALREADY LOOKED AT HER WHEN I GOT THERE SHE SHOULD HAD JUST TAKE A MINUTE AND SAID TO ME SORRY IS BETTER IF YOU TAKE HER TO ANOTHER PLACE THAT HAS OXYGEN WELL I JUST LEFT AS FAST AS I COULD TO TAKE MY DOG TO ANOTHER PLACE AND ON THE WAY DRIVING MY PRECIOUS BABY DOG DIED ON MY LAP !!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAS THE MOST SADDEST DAY OF MY LIFE !!!!!!!!!!!!

Both Dr. M and his daughter are amazing vets. I lived in the Grove for two years and have been taking my three dogs there ever since and I have never had a bad experience. They remember my dogs names and are always friendly. AND THEY ARE EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE. Probably the cheapest vet visits I have ever had. Our black lab needed some fatty tumors biopsied and they did it for free. There is no other vet like this in Miami. They are not charging you for a fancy office. You are only being charged for your pets needs. The bad reviews on here are ridiculous. One lady seemed neurotic because the vet didnt give her a step-by-step explanation (Why didnt she ask questions like every other normal person?). The other bad review was made by another neurotic human because the vet didnt want to write four prescriptions for food so her ridiculous cat could have "variety". Get over yourself. People like that need to stop wasting peoples time. If your animals need care, go see either Dr. M at this location and your animals will receive the best care for the most affordable prices. I will never go anywhere else.

Dr. Marmesh and his staff have always been wonderful. I have been taking my dogs to him for over six years while living in Miami and have always been extremely satisfied. I recently moved out of state but a month ago while driving to Miami for a visit our dog had an emergency tooth situation. She was swelling up and in pain. We decided to drive the entire trip (1,000 miles) just so we could be at Coconut Grove Animal Clinic at opening time. They took such good care of us and extracted the tooth immediately, without any delays or unnecessary excuses to keep the dog, clean her teeth and possibly find more teeth to extract, etc. They are extremely honest and I only wish there were more vets like Dr. Marmesh! It was seriously worth the trip! Highly reccomend!

First time ever going there today! Arrived at 1:55 on a monday and at 2 oclock they let you right in. Was the second person there and quickly signed in and they registered my dog because she was a first-time patient. Waited maybe 3 min sitting down and Dr. Mike called my doggies name. Gave her a good look over, took her temp, looked at her eyes and checked her breathing. we then talked about her health and he answered a couple of my questions and prescribed me the medicine She needed. Sweet and simple, took maybe 30 min in total, Well see if this medicine does the trick if not Ill be back and I have a new load of questions for him! In conclusion, I walked out of there with most of my money left and my mind was at ease!
