I’m in tears as I’m writing this. The first time I was here was to bring my boss’s dog. She developed a gray big spot on her snout, we were worried so we brought her here. The wait was almost four hours, I had arrived before 9 am. When we finally got seen by someone, not even the vet knew what this gray bump was on her skin. The vet saw her probably 5 minutes just to say he didn’t know what it was, and to apply a type of crème they prescribed. I thought it was kind of strange that not even they would know what this bump was, that’s why I took her to figure out what it was. This should have been a huge red flag for me. Nevertheless, the staff is really nice. They all treat you nicely, so I thought it was a good idea to get my female cat spayed here. The morning of the surgery as I was waiting to be seen, an elderly woman arrived with her dog barely breathing. They told her she couldn’t wait because it was considered an emergency, and the doctor didn’t arrive until 9 am. I checked my watch, and literally it was going to be 9 in FIVE MINUTES! The elderly really wanted to wait for the vet because she was already there, but they told her she couldn’t wait inside, and she had to go elsewhere! I really felt bad for the lady, and her dog that you could clearly hear was having a bad time breathing. This should have been a huge second red flag for me. Now with my cat. Our cat is about 6 months old. We found her a few months ago, and we decided to get her fixed. For no additional cost, they said they could make a small cut to her ear in case she gets lost, or something happens, as this is an indication she has been spayed. I was able to pick her up early around 3:30, even though pick up time is at 5 pm. When I got home I left her in her carrier because I didn’t want her walking around, so I hadn’t seen her completely. I finally decide to let her out, and when we see her… she is missing a BIG CHUNK of her right ear!!! I got into tears! They cut almost half of her ear!!! This is one of my favorite parts of a cat body, to see what I call the ‘triangle ears’. I feel completely terrible that my poor cat doesn’t have a big part of her ear. I haven’t stopped crying, and telling all my family members what happened. My mom also tried taking her dog to this place, and she had a bad experience too. They made her wait, and wait even though she was the only client there waiting to be seen. She ended up leaving. I don’t recommend this place to anyone! I’m really upset, and I feel so terrible for my cat. I’m completely heartbroken for what they did to our cat’s ear. UPDATE: A lady from their staff called me for my bad review. She went on to demand to know why I used my middle name for social media, I don’t have to tell her details about my personal life. She also said it’s normal procedure for them to cut off the ears of cats, might be something normal to them but not to me. This is the first time I see something like this. I’ve lived here my whole life, and I’ve never seen a stray cat with a piece of their ear missing. Nobody in my family likes how they left my poor cat’s ear. This lady was so rude, and unapologetic. She didn’t show any signs of remorse towards my feelings. She even said not to go back to them, of course I’m never going back!

Dr. Kevorkian works here. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! A woman vet with a real bad accent wanted nothing but to kill a rescue cat I brought in. He looked a bit rough and dirty, I have been trying to catch him for over a year. Finally I was able to take him in and wanted the full round of check ups, I was told this was the best place to go to. They did a smart move which was to test for FLV and FIV first to save me money. (for that Im grateful) After the results came in, she came to us and said he was FIV positive. I was happy because I know that a cat can live a happy and healthy life with FIV. She looked at me weird like why I appeared to be happy. She said no its positive, I said oh but FLV negative, the vet repeated "FIV positive". She could not admit to the FLV negative part, and asked if we wanted her to proceed with putting him down. I said "NO DO NOT" put this cat down. Then she did the creepiest thing anyone in the medical industry could do (she could be held liable and put the whole practice at risk for a lawsuit) she asked "do you want this?" (I had no idea what she was talking about) she handed me the bloody stick, not covered in anything, full of blood and on the sides of the tip, just to prove she did the test, talk about a bad case of ego out of hand. I had to go wash my hands right after, even her own staff said, that was not right that she did that. I called St Francis Animal Hospital and spoke with Dr. Loduca and told him everything that happened. He agreed that everything I was being told in the Miami office was not right/proper at all. That since I was close to Davie my best bet was DPC on Sterling Rd. He was very kind and awesome with all the right info. We went to DPC and I met Dr. Washington and from the very first moment of seeing her approach Phoenix I knew she was a great doctor. They are so wonderful there, from explaining everything, they go above and beyond to make sure you are confident and at ease with all that needs to be done with your little one. Turns out Phoenix had nothing wrong with him that had to do with the FIV, he has a hernia, lice and needs a lot of TLC, but nothing that should end his life. Hes always had a pep in his step and cleans himself after eating, signs that a cat is not in horrible life threatening pain. I cant begin to tell you how many people are going to be happy that Phoenix has a chance of a happy life. I was getting donations from many to help him out and thanks to DPC Phoenix has the chance, so many of us prayed for.

this place stressed me, my dog and my boyfriend out and we wont be back. I went in for my dog who developed a lump due to a salivary gland that got impacted with mucous and puss. after claiming that he needed xrays, blood work and all types of unnecessary tests out the ying yang the estimated bill went to almost $300( thats just to find out what it was when they already knew they just wanted to make money.) first off I waited for 4hrs to be seen while my dog was in pain from his abscess, in their freezing waiting area. we were finally called to a room. where we waited another hour. after they gave us the estimation I asked for a few mins to discuss the method of payment for my dog, the woman came back in to basically rush us because she says "were closing soon". first off it wasnt my fault that we had to wait 4 hours to be seen so why rush us because youre closing. Im a vet medicine student. I know you dont have to take all those unnecessary steps for a mucous build up. after declining the services my bf and I had to basically pick the doctors brain so he can send my dog home with meds for his pain and antibiotics. before we left they took my dog to a back room to "drain" the puss. 10mins later they come back with him, saying they will have to do it the next day because its too late and its too painful so they will have to sedate. Again, Im a registered tech and a vet med student. no sedation is needed to do a fine needle aspiration only if the tech is restraining properly and the doctor knows what hes doing, my dog was scared and in pain from the poking and prodding they were doing to his abscess just for them to not even take anything... I went back the next day so they can do it and the same reason "its too late come back tomorrow" Needless to say I just left another vet that did the same thing they couldnt do in less than 5 mins and the tech had no problem properly restraining my dog while the vet took the sample. All in under five mins he told me what was wrong and how to fix it at the new place.. thanks for nothing animal welfare.
