There are two parts to this. The first... the visit itself, to address a sick cat, was wonderful. The nurses, the vet, all very nice, caring to my kitty, and competent. The second part, the two antibiotic prescriptions I received... the nurse simply said, let me go get your medications, and I then paid at the front desk... this seemed reasonable, for the convenience. The two medications added up to about $75, while the visit itself was about $50. Later, I became curious (as one of them was, when looking at the information inside, a generic human medication) and found out that not only do they retail at online pharmacies that sell pet meds for about $15-$20 each, but that the one that is a human medication is available at Walmart, for humans, for $4 (this is the EXACT same medication, with the same NDC code, same manufacturer (Bausch and Lomb) and same packaging. This means, to me, that the vets themselves could have bought the medications, at RETAIL price, at Kroger down the road (they sell pet meds, it turns out), and still made as much profit on them as the cost of the actual visit... well over a 100% markup. This is ridiculous, and the only reason Im not giving them 5 stars... I know that many people have trouble affording vet visits, and this kind of price gouging is crazy. Offer people the option of filling the prescription elsewhere, or charge reasonable prices.

Wednesday I left paperwork at my grandmothers house stating she had adopted him from BARC, so I paid for everything, no biggie. First, let me say that the Doctors & nurses at this hospital are GREAT. They took care of my grandmothers dog with no problems. The front desk staff on the other hand... The next day I brought the paperwork to get a refund & when the woman at the front desk issued the refund she had charged me instead! Now its Tuesday the next week and I still dont have a refund showing on my bank statement & because of this blunder charge my account is negative. So I call the office to speak with them and they tell me that theyer not going to do anything, its not their fault & if I get charged by the bank for having a negative account theyre not going to compensate me. Poor customer service, very unprofessional. Especially since it is completely this womans fault. Extremely disappointed since Ive come here for other animals. Front office staff needs customer service training.

Don't take your animals here. They are all about the money. They are money hungry and use scare tactics to over charge you for services that can be sought elsewhere for extremly cheaper rates. They dignosed are dog with parvo, but did not do a parvo test. We spent the weekend caring for our dog and took them to a different vet only to confirm our dog did not have parvo ! Yet their staff calls the following wed. To see how our dogs were doing ? They charged is 400.00 for an anti nausea shot, sub q fluids which is basically gatorade, and a dewormer shot, along with some reglan...we saw a better vet and only paid 110.00 got all of the up to date shots,meds,exams and tests to confirm no parvo ! Do not waste your time for these joke of a veterinarian ! No compassion, no care for the pets or owners .

If any company, hospital, or veterinarians hospital ever deserved 5 stars it is North Channel Animal Hospital! Dr. Bodreau and her staff exceed expectations everytime I go there. Always kind and considerate, listens to me an the concerns for our animals. I appreciate her time and ministry to my critters. We have never gone anywhere else for over 25 years. Before her was Dr. Williams so we have been going for some time now. If you have a sick animal this is the place to go! I definitely do not want to leave out the assistance and the ladies at the front who make sure everything runs smoothly as well as the rather large young men who are there to handle the larger animals. This is my first time dealing with a puppy so small he ended up getting sick and the staff is awesome and very patient the young lady Sheena at the first desk is awesome I had been up all night for two night with my puppy and came there with an not so good attitude sheena kept calm always assured me that it was okay stayed professional and very kind to be dealing with an angry client she my go to lady she is one of the reason I made the hospital my puppies go to vet she even understood that Im scared of bigger dog and always asked if I wanted to wait b4 coming to the counter never met someone with such good customer service skill

Fantastic staff from the vets to the vet techs to the office staff! ALL are very knowledgeable and caring not only to the animals, but also to the pet parents! Always are able to answer any questions I have and everyone there goes above and beyond to give excellent care! I trust them completely to take care of my 2 fur babies and I always recommend them to anyone who asks me about where to go for veterinary care! Ive been using their services for many years and highly recommend them to anyone who wants high quality care for their pets!

my visit to this place was hell they wouldnt even help me with my dog , they were all about money . the doctor kept going up prices and i kept telling her that i dont have that much money on me ,im a student in school and she told me maybe i need to let him go that truely broke my heart when she said that just because i didnt have the money. Today im dealing with the death of my baby all because no one wouldnt help me here. i advise everyone to not go here they do not care about animals they only care about money .

Weve taken our pets here since I was little. The staff and doctors are friendly and Ive always felt like I could trust them. It might be hard to get a parking space but thats because they accept walk ins and try to treat as many pets as they can, even if theyre busy. They really care about the animals. I called and got an appointment the same day. Plus they dont try to do a bunch of unnecessary extra stuff and jack up the cost like Animana Birth Control Veterinary does! Great place.
