My mom moved to NJ a few years and didnt have vet. Two years ago, our dog Fluffy had seizures and she went to Animal Paradise Hospital. She was diagnosed with canine heart failure. My mom was newly retired and is limited in her english skills. They helped explain what was happening with Fluffy extensively and what we had to do for her. Weve never been a more compassionate vet before (I worked at a vet before and I know when vets try to push unnecessary and costly procedures). My mom would bring in Fluffy for check ups or when she wasnt doing well. At times, Dr Bravo wouldnt even charge my mom. She was so grateful. Having a pet with a health problem is scary and costly but all the staff were always so sweet and understanding. Fluffy passed on Monday at 630am at Oradell (emergency hospital they referred us to for after hours care). I wrote an email to Animal Paradise hospital to thank them for all their help because without them... Fluffy would have not survived the past 2 years. Fluffy would have turned 17 in Feb. She lived a long happy life where my mom devoted her life since she fell ill. Its never easy to say goodbye and its hasnt been the same without Fluffy. Today, the doorbell rang and there were flowers being delivered to us in the shape of Fluffy (Maltese). The flowers were from Animal Paradise Hospital with a touching message... "May you take comfort in knowing there is one more angel above us." Ive read some of the reviews on here. Not everyone or every place can be perfect. I can only share our story because sometimes all you want is a little compassion and help. Animal Paradise hospital will always be a place we think of fondly.

HORRIBLE!! I took my Cocker Spaniel to them July 2013 due to what I first thought was simple congestion, they ran x-rays, blood work, urine, EVERYTHING. I was suppose to receive a call from them in the next following days, a week passed and I myself had to call in to see what the results were because no one had contacted me back. Dr. Bravo had confirmed to me that nothing had showed up in the urine or blood, all of her counts were fine & nothing wrong showed up in the x-rays. THEY WERE UNBELIEVABLY WRONG!!!!! Indeed in fact was my baby sick, she had a tumor! No one here was able to even comfort her with medication, everything they had given me for her was either making it worse or had no affect on her at all. I later ended up taking her to Animal General in Edgewater, THANK GOD I DID! Immediately, they took her in and diagnosed her with a cancerous tumor that had ruptured inside her. I ended up putting her down there and on that same day. I am so GLAD she was put to ease at Animal General and not in this place. I will NEVER bring any of my pets here again. They simply SUCK! Yes theyre cheaper than most vets around this area, but the quality of the doctors there are no where near the level of the doctors in Animal General. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!

Doctor Luis Bravo is awesome. My outdoor cat Earl was limping for a few days so I took him to the Animal Paradise Hospital to get an x-ray to make sure he didnt break any bones. I literally took my cat and got to the vet at 4:55 and they were closing at 5:00pm on Saturday. The entire staff and the doctor were so helpful and involved to make sure my cat got all the proper needs met and stayed late until after 6:00pm running all the diagnostics. The doctor explained to me thoroughly and in detail the next steps and my expectations of the procedure. It turned out Earl was bitten by another animal and his arm was infected. Earl had to stay at the hospital for over a week undergoing surgery and recovery. The entire staff is so supportive, friendly and loves to work w/ all animals. They let me visit him everyday for as long as I wanted to keep Earl company. Check this Vet out for your pets! They even have cute talking parrots who love entertaining you while waiting!

I have only great things to say about Dr,. Bravo and the staff - he is the most compassionate vet I have come across in many years, he genuinely cares about the animals he treat and so is the staff. My 14 year old female Malteses have been in his care for a little over two years and I wish I had found him 14years ago. My girls have had surgeries there and the care was top notch. I would recommend this clinic to everyone who is looking for compassionate care for their loved ones. I Swear by him!

I just moved here from another town recently and brought my dog to this place because he didnt feel well, didnt want to eat and was just sleeping. They examined my dog and said everything is ok, he must be very tired, or something. But then I suspected it was something else and I brought him to a vet one town up and they told me he had a food poisoning and saved him in the very last minute. Dont trust them what they say about your animals!!!!!

Not helpful at all, found a bird with a broken foot on the street laying on a sewer grate in a rain storm. Called to ask if I could bring it in/drop it off and was told no they dont accept that. Not for nothing if your in the business of helping animals that are injured the fact that your not getting payed for it shouldnt be a factor!! HUMANITY = 0 NATURE = 0 ME = 2

Both my fur babyz Patti & Oreo give this place 5 stars for every reason imaginable even though it is their vet. However, I left my very of many years to stay at Animal Paradise. I dont regret it & neither do my kids! (Grateful to staff that goes the extra mile & the veterinarians that stay so very many hours and always make time to talk or return phone calls).

These are scam artists who make up grooming prices as they go.....there are no set prices, they bait and switch and profile you the minute you walk in the door. They are as cold as ice! I would never step foot back in that filthy place! Animal General is where I bring both of my dogs and there prices are much better!!

Worst grooming experience ever! The hair cut was awful, the price was different that what I was quoted, My dog was terrifed when I picked her up, and she had irritations all over her skin. On top of all of that the groomer and her brother are extremly rude and uncaring. Do not get your dog groomed here!!!
