In my first visit, I loved where the office location was and everything, however, my turn off was the part where I made an appointment. I made reservation for my second visit at Oct. 7th but I missed it due to emergency. So I called in to makeup that second appointment but the the front desk people changed their words on me and said I had to see different doctor. The nurses were so unfriendly(or front seat receptionist like I dont even know if they are nurse), and so. Very. VERY ridiculous about reservation, I used blue cross HMO, and they told me I cannot see Dr. Aftergut because of my insurance. This did not made any sense to me, because I visited him on my first visit with my HMO insurance. They changed their words and said "oh you have to see Dr. Off-something because of your insurance" I was like "but I seen him on my first visit" and the front desk women was like "right because there werent the other doctor who takes HMO so Dr. Aftergut took you in" I was dumbfounded because they never told me about that in the first place and secondly, I dont appreciate changing doctors without my consent and not even letting me know at first. So I wanted to stick to the first doctor that examined me( which was Dr. Aftergut) several times and front desk was so rude and keep saying they cant change. The nurse was like "I dont know what happened that you missed your appointment but because of your insurance you cant see doctor Aftergut" and I said " but my first was visit was with Dr. Aftergut so why cant I have reservation with Dr. Aftergut? That doesnt make any sense to me. This is unfair." And the receptionist was like "right thats why I said Dr. Aftergut fit in with the other doctor because the other Doctor Was on vacation." I was so upset because NO ONE told me that when I was making my first appointment and I felt very played. I just simply said " I want to make appointment with doctor aftergut" during my first visit they simply said "sure, wait just a moment." And just simply made an appointment. But now, I just feel like they are really playing with patients and not dealing this business seriously. I mean, this impoliteness can serious cause damage for their company and bad business for the owner. As a businessman myself, rumors can seriously spread around and I just really hope the owner can read this and do something about this. Thanks.

Absolutely horrible! I would give them zero stars if I could! I went in there to have a skin condition looked at because I had an irritation that wasnt going away. They told me theyre going to take a teeny tiny area to biopsy because it might be psoriasis, but they couldnt be sure. But if it was psoriasis, it would be OK because "Kim Kardashian has it!" Are you kidding me? Was that supposed to make me feel better about it? They took two large chunks of skin, not small ones, large ones to be biopsied only to find out that I had a form of eczema that ended up going away shortly after. They needed a biopsy for this! I do not have eczema like that anymore but I do have a scar that looks like a cigarette burn almost a year later! And they wanted to charge me almost $500 after insurance for this! If you told me that It was going to cost me $500 after insurance and that I would have a scar after a year that would look like a cigarette burn I wouldve never done it! When I called to complain they told me that that was perfectly normal and then I asked to speak to the doctor and he never called me back! Do not go here they are liars and are not professional

Dr. Kent Aftergut is a scam. DO NOT go to him or this practice. I got bad vibes from this place the second I walked in there. I have gone to dermatologists for 10 years now and they have all been fantastic. Dr. Aftergut had terrible bedside manor and could hardly stand to look me in the eyes. He was short, curt, and acted like he didnt want to be there. He didnt want to answer my questions and clearly showed he didnt care. He then tried to scam me into a very costly procedure that many other dermatologists (second opinions) told me was unnecessary at this stage. I paid an exorbitant amount after my appointment even with my insurance (I have good insurance) and then 2 months later I receive a third bill for another hundred dollars with no reasoning. Long story short- save yourself a lot of pain and headache by not going to Dr. Aftergut.

I went in to see about having a small mole removed from my stomach that appeared about 5 years ago. I called ahead to see if I could get it checked and removed if necessary in one appointment. I was assured it would be possible unless there was a complication. The doctor was prompt to see me, spent about 3 minutes examining me and then told me I would need to schedule another appointment because this one would require stitches and he wasnt prepared for that. $140.00 for todays "3 minute check-up" and an estimated $600.00 for the removal, after insurance. I asked what the charge was before insurance and I was told that was done case by case. I know he has a good reputation, but I felt scammed.

I have been a patient at Dr. Kent Afterguts office for many years. I have the most wonder PA-C Ms. Bethany Grubbs, and this review in no way reflects on her, she is awesome! My issue is with the billing office of Dr. Aftergut, the did not do all of their insurance verification regarding my insurance and did not bill me for my co-pay from April 2015, here it is now January 2016 and they sent the 50.00 to RS Clark, some never heard of collection agency. They claimed they sent me notices but I did not get them. I hope the 50.00 was worth it Dr. Aftergut because you just lost a long-time patient. Oh BTW...you billing department personnel needs a bit more training.

The doctor didnt even bother to look at my feet and just listened to what I said. He didnt tell me what was wrong with my skin or anything he just prescribed me a medicine for $500 and I didnt pay for it and get because I was never told what was wrong with my skin since he didnt even looked at my feet. I used google and found out by myself that I had athlete feet and used hydrogen peroxide and apple cider vinegar for about two weeks and never had the problem again. It cost me less than $10 to treat myself.

Ive had much success using Dr. A - the prices are comparable to what I have experienced elsewhere and even more importantly they are working. He takes time to talk and explain procedures; if you dont understand something or have a concern just voice it! I promise he has an answer or an explanation. Nursing and office staff have been welcoming and helpful as well.

I feel Dr Aftergut is very thorough and informative. He doesnt beat around the bush and only recommends doing procedures that are needed rather than just taking your money when there is no real concern. I feel confident in him enough that I would not only refer him to others but more importantly have him treat my own family.
