Procedure was great. They worked us in and gave us a fair price. But follow-up was a nightmare. We paid for medicine that we failed to pick up as we were leaving. We went back to see if it was left on the counter. We were not upset; we just wanted to see if it got left or maybe a client after us picked it up. We had a perfectly civil conversation with the staff and sat quietly to wait for the technician, but the veterinarian came out and threatened us with police action and asked us to leave for no reason and would not even allow me to ask a question. We were totally blindsided. We have used this vet for years for multiple animals, but the practice has been recently sold. We will never go back. They did fine on the dog, but I would not recommend anyone using this practice unless you like being treated like crap.

I have always found the staff and techs to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The vets are excellent - compassionate, honest, gentle and great with my animals. I have house cats and dogs and I take care of a herd of feral cats - all of which have had a myriad of complaints. AMC has taken care of each and every one, always to our satisfaction. There is no unnecessary testing and I have always been given the options with enough information to make an informed decision. In all cases, the health and well-being of the animal has been first and foremost. I have lived in Houston since 1981 and have lived all over Harris County, using several different vets over the years. If I ever move away from this part of town, I will continue to drive over here to see the vets and staff at Animal Medical Center.

They have gone to the dogs... Ive been going here for many years. My last visit, a few weeks ago, with my new puppy, I had to wait over an hour for some to come in the room and see my dog. Even then, they did not apologize for the delay. They when I complained they said they would give me a discount which they conveniently forgot to do. 02.24.10, I had my puppy spayed. They quoted me over the phone about $150, well needless to say they charged me over $250 plus shots and it came to about $400. When youre on a budget it would be nice to have the estimate close. I will be looking for a new vet. Warning & lesson learned, do not trust their estimates. .

Im a hard-working man. Ive been bringing my dog there for 3 years. I called them and set an appointment they told me Id be $300. I told them that would be too much money this go round, they brought it down to 160 I send my girlfriend to take my dog to them because I had to work. She comes back with a $260 bill I call them and ask them whats going on I get a voicemail. I dont hear from them for a week I call back and in so many words they told me theres nothing they can do I will not be going back sad to say and I would just be very careful with these people their prices seem to be higher than others and they like to add things in without telling you

Your decision to not allow Maggies family to stay with her during the entire euthanasia process would have made her death even more painful....We went to another Vet Clinic...and were allowed to be present for IV cath, sedation and meds....she died peacefully in our arms.... just as I wanted for her. I am a RN who has cared for this sweet little spirit through 2 resuscitations,, I have saved her life on several other occasions too...a possible yelp during an IV catheter placement was negligible after what I have been through with her...Very disappointed in this Medical Clinic. .

My seven year old GSD-mix tore her CCL (ACL in humans) and Dr. Darden performed extracapsular knee surgery. My dog made a full recovery and is running and playing like a pup again. The staff were very nice and the price was reasonable. I really felt like they cared about my dog and one of the assistants even gave us her personal cell, in case there were any complications from the surgery. I live a long way from this clinic but I still use them is any major issues arise with my pets. I highly recommend them to anyone and my personal experience has been great

Ive taken my Lab (Heartworm procedure) and Boxer (who was left at their door once when he ran away) but ive never really spoken with the veterinarian. The vet didnt even talk to me after my Lab had the 3 stages heartworm process. Also, i didnt see the vet when my boxer was dropped off there and i decided to leave him there for shots (since he was due). I normally go to the Jones Road Hospital (even if theyre more expensive) because the vet is always available.....

I have been going to Dr. Johnsons office since we came here 10 years ago. They moved last year to a location that is fairly rural in atmosphere, has easy access and lots of inside and outside space to care for your pets. His staff is kind, knowledgeable and he always spends the time needed to address concerns with our furry family and friends. This place has a lot of HEART! Make them your family pets medical care spot. You will not be sorry.

I have a fear aggressive GSD. I needed to board him to go to an out of town wedding. Most places would not take him, but this one did. And they went above and beyond just boarding. Allie, Marlee and the rest of the staff made friends with him. He is happy and comfortable while he is away from home. I cannot say enough good things about these kind people.

Just picked up my "senior" companion from boarding and having his teeth cleaned at Animal Medical Center. Dr. Johnson and his staff made me feel so comfortable with leaving my beloved older dog in their care. My dog was happy and I was pleasantly surprised at the total cost considering everything they did. I would highly recommend this clinic.

This clinic recommends bi-annual vaccinations which are unnecessary and would not approve heart medication for my dogs when they had been tested there because they wanted me to buy it from them. During my visit I was also charged for an exam and the vet didnt check the dogs joints or teeth. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. NOT TRUSTWORTHY.

So Ive coming here for some time now, for my cats and dog. And the vets are very nice and they have a good sense of humour. Recently I went there for an emergency for my cat, a blocked cat, and they were very helpful. Especially vetenarian Kelly george, she was very nice and answered to all of my concerns.

Always first-rate service and first-class care from the doctors and staff at Animal Medical Center. Have taken my pets to Dr. Johnson and his colleagues for 16 years and have nothing but good things to say about them. Highly recommend.

Ive taken our cats to Dr Johnson for about two years now. The staff at the clinic is wonderful! We unfortunately had to put a kitten to sleep a few months ago and everything was handled so well. They even sent us a sympathy card.
