OMG, these people are not rude and do not treat people like dirt! They are wonderful caring people that direct full attention to their animal patients. I have taken my 2 poodles and house cat to them over the past several years. My cat came down with a nasty UTI on a Friday afternoon and they boarded him over the weekend - at no extra boarding charge - and the tech came in on Sat & Sun just to monitor him! They also squeezed me in the day before the 4th of July holiday this year because BOTH my poodles had ear infections. I asked Dr. Hudson if she would just perform an exam on one poodle (for one charge) and then just prescribe the same med for both of them to save costs. She examined BOTH poodles, cleaned BOTH poodles ears, gave them BOTH cortisone injections for allergies, gave them BOTH updated vaccinations and only charged me $85 - the fee for just one poodle which also included all meds given. To those of you calling these people uncaring and rude, good luck trying to find another vet that will provide the same quality low-cost care!!! After thanking them time and again for saving me money while caring for our pets, I commended them for not over-charging me. The front receptionist responded, "We believe if we keep our services affordable, more people will take care of their pets." They maintain a busy practice and are genuinely concerned about their patients, but yes they are straight-forward and direct. I have encountered several people here in the south that somehow misinterpret that as being rude. Good grief! If you want good quality care for your pet, I whole-heartedly recommend Pet Check Up.

I recently became a dog owner and was looking for a Vet. It just so happened that I was driving down Jones Road when I spotted Dr. Hudsons clinic. I decided to go in and get some information. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable in answering all my questions. In fact, the front receptionist was so kind to get my dogs information put into the computer system, without having had a visit. When I was ready, they were kind in fitting my dog in for a check up at a time when the doctor was booked. I was also impressed that the doctor would not do any unnecessary work on a dog if not needed. I inquired about getting my dogs teeth cleaned, and I was told that the doctor would not clean a dogs teeth until it was at least 5 years of age. They said I would be wasting my money if I did it before then. I dont know too many doctors whod pass up on making money, or even being that honest. Im glad to have found this clinic, and Im looking forward to Dr. Hudson taking care of my dogs in the future. Also, her prices seem to be reasonable and fair. Thank you Dr. Hudson. I have yet to meet you because when my dog had the check up, I dropped him off, but I look forward to any future visits.

I called this vet because the exotic shop i got my babies from recommended them. Well, that and the fact that all the places i called for an exotic pet were ridiculously expensive. Their office visit was $35. When i called to make the appointment, they asked what was wrong with my hedgehog. After telling them that i beleive his leg was injured, they told me to just confine him to a small space and "not let him get any exercise." They scheduled my appointment for 6 days later and told me that if he got better to call and cancel. Well I wont be taking him to a vet that instead of being worried for his well-being, told me to leave him alone and hopefully he gets better. I understand that exotics are hard to work on because they are small; and hedgehogs have quills, yikes! But seriously? "Just wait a few days" does NOT fly. I called another vet and they urged me to bring him in the same day. Not to mention, their fee was only $10 more than this place. Granted, i didnt actually go to this place, but anyone who tells me to just wait and see when my pet is injured cant be a good caregiver for any animal.

I called in to schedule an appointment for my sick cat, the man over the phone was extremely unprofessional. I wasnt sure whose name my cat was under so I listed two names, both which he said were not listed. He then asked for my pets name and found the owners name under it, which was the second name I listed. He then added "funny how you dont even know your name." I ignored the witty comment but as the call went on, he continuously scoffed and made witty comments as to what I was doing wrong. (I.e. cat throwing up his food, he would say stop feeding him that food. Obviously Ive tried that and tried different brands, all which he threw up.) All in all, Im sure this place has a good vets, but the service over the phone was horrible. Hope I never have to deal with him again.

I went on recommendation by my sister and I was glad I did. Ive gone to two other vets so far and Pet Check-up was by far the best experience. The people at the front desk arent particularly friendly but I wouldnt say they are mean either just very direct. The prices are much better than other vets they dont charge you for unnecessary things. Whenever I go theres pretty much no wait which is pretty important to me now after waiting 2-7 hrs at other vets. I wanted to get my dogs teeth cleaned, one vet wanted to charge 300+ and it only cost 100 at Pet Check Up. Its a pretty far drive for me so Ive tried going to other vets but Pet Check-Up always wins out in comparison to the vets around me. Everyones nice when youre about to pay their car note.

The receptionist vet tech gentleman was extremely rude giving me any information about dropping my dog off that they sent home the day before. Talked to the main vet Rebecca and she did not even apologize for his behavior and told me to deal with another receptionist and thanked me for my opinion. I would not recommend taking your animals here unless you want them sent home early and terrible customer service even from the owner. Also its a converted tire shop with non modern equipment and a broken x-Ray machine. Beware.

Dr. Hudson and her staff saved our family pet and I can not thank them enough. After I took our 1 year old puppy into them when he was attacked by a larger dog they were both understanding and more than helpful. Dr. Hudson performed surgery to repair our puppys throat and he is on the mend. She knows how important family pets/members are and goes above and beyond what I have experienced from other Vets. She really does love all animals and we will be forever grateful to her and her staff. Thank you all

Some litter tart behind the desk called me a dick then hung up on me as I was politely trying to explain a situation which would delay paying my bill 4 days. The doc decides the only deal is pay by the end of the day or find another vet the debt is a week old and only $70, until todays experience I was going to drop off 35 today and 35 monday, so she refused oayment! I am disabled and have not been able to work in 2 years, no income either, yet I was still giving the debt priority.
