These people are rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional individuals. First their wait for consultation and then further the surgery wait time is horrible. It was over a month to from contact time to the appointment and then another month to be scheduled for surgery. There were no instructions given as to what to do prior to the surgery and then I called to get those instructions and they had cancelled my appointment without any notification. It takes anyone there days to call you back and then if they do they dont answer your question. No one there has any idea what is going on with their records or anything. It took me calling 5 times to finally get someone who could even tell me why my appointment was cancelled. I was hung up on, told to leave a message which was left unanswered, multiple times. The doctor there is also terrible. First he only took maybe 5 minutes on my consult and then further he insulted me and my condition, acting like I was some freak show. He literally asked "what other tricks can you show us". When I asked about pain management I guess they thought I was some drug seeking person and told me they cant give out drugs. I wasnt even asking for drugs, in fact I told multiple people I HATE taking drugs. I was very clear I wanted to know whether I should ice the area, elevate, immobilize or I dont know because I am not a doctor. He also gave me a a cream for another issue which inflamed the issue rather than helped it. The whole practice is just set up to predate on the need to feel pretty. Anyone with a real issue should NEVER go see this "doctor"

To sum up my experience in a word, terrible! I went the first time and saw the nurse since the doctor was booked. Ok, no problem. The nurse requested a blood draw from a different company. I did exactly as requested from the company they specified. Time went by and I never heard from the doctor or his office. I made a follow up appointment this time with the actual doctor and not a nurse. They made me wait almost an hour then I get back there only to find out they did not know anything about my blood draw or why I was there. To make matters worse, the doctor was not even in and they sent another nurse in to see me. What a bunch of crap. I would never recommend this office. In fact, I walked out and will find a different doctor. No customer has to put up with this, no one.

I waited for 3 weeks to see this Dr. I saw at least 6 different people in the 15 minutes I was there. 1 nures and a random lady that got me into the room and set up my chart, another that looked at my issue, and then 2 nurses, the previous lady, and Dr. Barows. He came in, looked at it, answered one of my questions, and then quickly rattled off 3 prescriptions to the nurses and told me to come back in 2 weeks if it didnt clear up. I was very rushed and felt like part of an assembly line instead of as a patient. He didnt even explain why he prescribed one prescription for my face which wasnt even part of what I came in for which was my hands. I will never go back to this doctor.

I havent been to this doctor but for all the people who are saying you will never go back to see this doctor you didnt even get to know the doctors thurowly and sufficiently a bough to make those decisions. In my opinion you havent even given them a chance at all. You need to give them time to get to know you and for you to get to know them. I suggest giving them 1 more chance just to see if your experience will be any better the second time versus the first Time you went in. You dont have to listen to my opinion its your choice

I see Amy Jones (one of the PAs) in the Rockwall office. I have never waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting room and no wait in the exam room. The staff is friendly, personable and eager to help. Amy is awesome. She listens first then examines then makes a determination. She always gives options which I appreciate. I will return to this practice for any other dermatology issues I may have and would not hesitate to recommend them, and have, to anyone.

I have a very complicated chronic condition, for which there is no cure. After seeing a different derm at another practice, with horrible results, I decided it was time to see the best. I have received excellent care from everyone at this practice. Never wait more than 10 minutes. Theyve helped me get my condition under control, and thats exactly what I needed. They get 5 stars from me.

I went here to get some moles checked for possible skin cancer (good news was that they werent). The nurses are really friendly and I had a lady Doctor (cant remember her name). I did not have to wait long in the waiting room or patient room. The decor inside is very nice and the couches are super comfortable. I would recommend this place.

I did not have a good experience here and would not recommend it. After wasted time and money on my skin cancer screening, I will be going somewhere else to schedule my procedure. I feel that Im pretty easy to please but that the nurses here acted grouchy and perturbed during my interactions with them, both in person and on the phone.

Appointment at the McKinney office, I waited for 55 minutes just to see the nurse, then another 30 minutes once I got into the room! Very long wait if you ask me....the care is great though. And that is more important than the wait. I feel like they take their time and answer all questions thoroughly.

The staff in the office is always so nice and helpful. I have been dealing with my skin issues for a long time and the entire office made me feel very comfortable and right at home. I would highly recommend Dr.Barrows and his staff. The skin rejuvenation center is amazing.

TERRIBLE!! I got to see the doctor for about 5 minutes to do a full-exam. Plus they have a hard time returning calls. Overall I feel this is a rush clinic that cares more about getting the max. number of pts in then anything else. Plus wait is real bad why make an appt

Ive been very pleased with Dr. Barrows and his friendly staff. He has been my dermatologist since 1999 and did very good work on my skin cancers on my nose....no plastic surgery needed!
