I took all the time to write this down not for vengeance, pettiness, or anything of a sort. It is for someone who wants an honest opinion. For anyone that has been to a dentist we all know the experience can be daunting and unpleasant. But we all expect to be treated for the treatment we are paying for. I found a dentist in Duluth, GA who had excellent Google reviews. Little did I know she gives incentives for positive reviews... They had asked me to take my review down originally as well. I went in for a crown since I had the root canal done by a specialist in Texas, but her zirconia crowns not only cracked once (before the glue even set in), but TWICE. The second crown was less than half a year old, but it was cracked, which meant that I needed a new one and insurance wont cover it since it is within the five year frame. I went for a consult somewhere else, and they were shocked at the job that was performed. So, I went to ask for my money back to get a crown with them. Her response was "It is office policy, we dont issue refunds, but I can put in a gold crown or a metal infused crown for you". She has a daughter my age and wouldnt want this for her own daughter, but it is okay for me because it is "business". I paid for zirconia, but she left me with the options of paying totally out of pocket elsewhere, or settle for metal infused (half the price of zirconia). I should have recorded the whole exchange... 06/08/2017 is the final update for this place. The staff is really understanding, but the dentist herself is someone I will never trust. Hence she made me sign a “Termination of Patient Relationship Agreement”, as I was leaving today, but keep in mind, I had already found a new dentist and simply wanted a refund so I can go to the new dentist. But I settled for the metal crown because I don’t have another $1500 lying around. In my visit two weeks ago she shaved what was left of the tooth down to the minimum, and stuck “grooves” into them, which left my gums sore for the next week. I asked her to put me on laughing gas because I was very uncomfortable being in her hands, but the dose was so high that I was getting light headed, felt tingles in my hands and feet, and they had to put me on oxygen. I went in today for the crown, she showed it to me very briefly, proceeded to shave down the crown in a separate room (shady right?), then came back to put it on. She gave me the feeling that some was definitely not right, but something tells me that she is afraid that I would sue her if she admits that she did something wrong. I have had two crowns before this (with my original dentist in Texas), and it was rather quick in and out. No poking and no prodding. When the crown came in, he would show me the crown, and cement it in, with little to no adjustments. I am praying that the tooth is okay, but if not, I hope that she can live with the horror she has put me through.

When I scheduled my first appointment with Dr. Shifrin, I had up to that point, nothing but horrible memories and experiences at the dentist’s office. My teeth were in terrible disrepair, I was in chronic pain, and aesthetically – I was embarrassed to smile or talk without looking away. I was at the point where I was realistically looking at losing all of my teeth. Since that first visit, I have had a tremendous amount of work done, and I have quite a bit left. Dr. Shifrin and her staff did everything in their power to be patient, understanding, professional, and most importantly – comforting. For the first time in my adult life, I am free from chronic and severe tooth, gum, and jaw pain. I have energy again, now that I am not battling constant tooth infections and decay. I feel great physically and my confidence has been restored. Dr. Shifrin and her staff have completely transformed my life, improving my health and my appearance. I have nothing but the utmost respect and gratitude for all that they have done, and are continuing to do for me. I couldn’t possibly give a higher recommendation! Whether you plan to visit for a simple cleaning, or if you find yourself in the position I was in; Dr. Shifrin’s practice will be sure provide you with the comfort, service, and professional results you deserve.

I came in because my filling had fallen out and they fixed it and charged me over $200. I had no pain at all before I went to this dentist. I just didnt want bacteria getting into the hole. I had to use this dentist because my regular one is closed on Saturdays and it was a huge mistake. Sense my visit my tooth is constantly hurting and the pressure under my eye and in my ear is unreal. I cant eat or drink anything without terrible pain. I called and told the office and was told to come in. I now magically need a crown and a root canal and need antibiotics and was quoted $2300 to fix their mistake. They also asked me if I was allergic to latex which I am and the dentist used non latex gloves but the hygienist did not. Why ask if you arent going to pay attention to something like that. This was the worst experience I have ever had in my life at a dentist. Im disgusted with the way the dentist treated me because she is the one who damaged my tooth and now I have to pay for it. I would never ever recommend this dentist to anyone.

My immediate family has been getting dental work done at Dr. Shifrins office for almost ten years. In that time capacity, we have referred and brought along my aunts family and my newly relocated uncle, who also is pleased and wants to extend his invitation to his family and friends. Dr. Shifrin is very personable, kind-hearted, and just an all around good person. She is very professional and the best dentist I have gone to. She extracts teeth in a smooth and effective process, while making sure you are relaxed and at a copacetic state. The office environment is snug, comfortably snug. The subtle decor, the Doctors lengthy academic accreditions on the wall, the great soulful jazzy music that quietly plays in the background, all set up a comfortable and welcoming ambience for the clientele. The staff and the hygienists at the office are nice and get the job done efficiently and effectively. Im actually looking foward to going back to the office and getting some cosmetic work done (crowns) in the near future!

I used to love this place up until my recent experience. I had an appointment scheduled for 1/7/17 (Saturday) and received a call on 1/4/17 stating that my appointment has been cancelled as they will no longer offer Saturdays appointments. The only appointments offered on Saturday are for new customers. This is so disappointing as I purposely scheduled my appointment for this specific date. I am going out of the country on 1/8/16 and I have work on 1/5/17 and 1/6/17 since I will be on vacation. I would have appreciated if they called me sometime last week to notify me so I could arrange accordingly. For this reason, I have to decided to take my business elsewhere. I might be in finance but I know that this is poor customer service. It would have been understandable if this was cancelled weeks in advance. This is totally unacceptable.
