Very unhappy with the dentists here. If you have perfect children who never cry, or if you dont mind sedating your kids for every filling, you might be happy here. Otherwise I recommend going somewhere else. I have trouble believing that a pediatric dentist could have this policy, but we were told today by Dr. Townsend that even though my son was holding still and cooperating as best he could, and wasnt screaming or even crying particularly loudly, he "cant work on a crying child". Weve wasted two months, with my son having tooth pain, trying to get him some help here. Our only option at this practice is apparently to sedate him with Versed, which can occasionally cause people to stop breathing. Its a hard decision for a parent to be forced to make - use a medication that doesnt seem necessary and carries risk, or leave your child in pain. But even though I had the Versed with me, had discussed using it as a backup when I made this appointment (after a previous failed try with Dr. Fowler), and got there fifteen minutes early, we waited 50 minutes after our appointment time before seeing the dentist, and after maybe 5 minutes of the dentist being there, we were told they didnt have time anymore to use the Versed and wed have to make another appointment (which I assume would have been for a month from now, again, because thats what happened the first time). The dentists never made us feel welcome, particularly when I had questions or wanted input in my childs care. Whenever I tried to talk to the dentist (politely) about my concerns, he would say something dismissive and walk out of the room. I constantly had the feeling they didnt want us to be there. (I was, however, happy with the reception staff - they were friendly and helpful.) We will not be back.

Dr. Jared Lee and his staff are AMAZING! My 3 year old daughter would never let them touch her teeth to clean them, we had to fight with her to it them put sealant on her teeth for the developing cavities. We went in Tuesday to have 2 of her teeth capped and she didnt want to leave this time! They made the procedure pain-free and tearless. Even put her favorite movie on the TV for her above all the chairs. If you need a dentist for your child, they are worth the drive!! We drive a little over an hour to them and its more than worth it! They also have an office in Sevierville. Now, my daughter is going around showing everyone her "beautiful new teeth." Thank you Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry!!!

Absolutely great with kids. We had tried another pediatric dentist, but boys did so much better here. I like that they use actual vocabulary: cavities, X-rays, etc. They then know what they are... no surprises. All the staff is great. They have created an environment that is very kid-friendly; no private rooms unless doing dental work, weve only used it when a cap was put on. They try to treat all kids but they dont force it. They will examine, clean, & treat as much as the child will let them. No forcing. Ive observed Dr. Bo with special needs kids; I was absolutely amazed at how well he treated them, such respect for them and the loved ones with them. Wont take my children to anyone else!!!

The building was easy to find and the staff was wonderful! They have tvs on the ceiling over the exam table for the kids to watch while getting worked on witch is super awesome! They deal with the troubled children very professionally! I got to witness that first hand as there was a boy about 9 or so that was way out of control! Shouting curse words and hitting his mother and staff members!!! (Wow!) Hats off to the poor nurses that has to deal with that kid. Job well done! Over all a awesome place and awesome people! I will be bringing all 3 of my girls there for years to come!

Everyone is really nice here and theyre usually relatively quick. They have paid attention to detail as far as making things kid friendly, like having a t.v over every dental chair and cute colorful wall murals. Everyone Ive seen has been very patient even with kids who were less than cooperative. The only down side and reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because theres absolutely no privacy. You and your child will be in a large room with several others with about 8-10 dental chairs lined up. If that doesnt bother you then its a great place to go.

Appreciate and respect this professional, clinical, and administrative staff and team, and also appreciate their expertise and experience. I would really appreciate it if they could modify or upgrade their telephone communication system. Its really difficult to get through to a staff member or receive a return to a voicemail. This is critical for me, which speaks volumes about the excellent, and detailed quality of service when we are present in the office! We love Dr. Bo and all of the support staff!

We absolutely love it here! We just went yesterday for my three childrens cleanings. The nurses were so patient with my younger two(2 & 3). My 3 year old had a tiny cavity and instead of making us come back Dr. Lee took time to go ahead and have it filled that day! My daughter was so happy afterwards and showed her teeth off all day! The waiting room is wonderful, even though we barely have wait to be seen. We couldnt be more excited to finally found a dentist office that is so kid friendly!

Adorable..extremely child friendly lobby and dentist office..love the tvs on the ceiling that the children can watch as they get work done. My 5 year old son LOVED the Ice Age game on the PS 2 in the lobby..I had to buy it for him at home...lol...he didnt want to leave the dentist. Dr. Fowler was fantastic. My son had to get a cap on his tooth and the dentist & assistant did so great, my son didnt even cry..the staff are excellent with the children. Id recommend this dentist to anyone.

Dr. Bo and his staff are great. We have never had an unpleasant experience coming to the office. All the hygienists have appeared friendly, caring, and patient. They talk to the children throughout the visit in order to keep them calm and distracted. Dr.Bo has always been very nice and knowledgeable. He is quick and to the point, but never makes you feel rushed. I began coming because of a recommendation from a friend, and I would definitely pass the recommendation along.

My son, just turned 3, had his first dentist visit today. I have spent the last couple of weeks talking about it and getting him prepared. It probably wasnt even necessary. He loved it! The staff was so nice and took the time to explain every step, so he would be comfortable. The office was colorful and fun. The only time he actually got upset was when we were leaving because he wanted to stay and play. I would definitely recommend this practice!

The dentists and staff here are wonderful. They really know how to make children of all ages feel at ease and make going to the dentist a good experience. They have toys and games to play. There are tvs playing overhead each chair playing kid movies/cartoons, which helps keep them occupied while their teeth are being cleaned or worked on. My kids love going to the dentist. I am so thankful for their west knox location because its so much closer to home.
