The actual services provided by the hygienist and the dentist were perfectly sufficient; however, this dental practice seems apt to flog the billing as much as possible. For example, I went to Wilkins for a basic cleaning. I have Dental PPO insurance, and at my previous dentists office that annual cleaning service has always been provided to me at no additional cost. Wilkins billed my Dental PPO for the cleaning, but while I was there for the cleaning they also presented me with a bill for $76 dollars for me to pay - constituted mostly of entirely unnecessary charges. During that appointment we settled on a bill of $46 dollars. I still felt like $46 was excessive, but I went with it anyway because they were nice. Then, two weeks later, I got another bill from Wilkins for an additional $66. That additional bill was for services not reimbursed by my insurance company. Services that, I am now fairly certain, Wilkins already knew that my insurance was not going to cover - services for which they would send me this second bill after the services have already been rendered. To this feedback Wilkins staff says stuff about the necessity of debridement, how thats an additional service, etc. Basically, Wilkins pushed for unnecessary services (at extra cost to me). I floss every day and I havent had a cavity in 10 years. I didnt need all that. I only went to Wilkins this one time because their practice is closer to my home, and I want to support businesses in my neighborhood whenever possible. I will not, however, return to Wilkins. In the future I will return to the previous dental practice. That practice is across town, but it is literally $100+ less expensive per appointment.

This dental experience was one of the worst ever. The only good remark I can give would be the hygienist. She did a great job but after that appointment it was all downhill. I needed a crown on a broken tooth and all hell begun. From day one nothing positive (I had appts. for the next 6 weeks for 1 crown fitting until the day the crown was put on). I had problems with allergic reaction (unfortunately in my opinion it was b/c they dont like suctioning which cause my throat to close),they cancelled an appt. on me w/o telling me (b/c I did not confirm but I did not cancel either) so I made a trip to the office for nothing, they billed for the crown way before the work was complete, no temp crown was put in place until the permanent once came in (they could not get one to stay on) and finally the permanent crown (June 2017) was not the right crown for a molar and it fell off last week (August 2017). I knew the final crown was not going to stay on b/c they could not get the temp to stay (the dentist should have felt the same). I think they just put the crown on to get rid of me and now I am out of $700 and will have to pay additional to have the work done right. People take the low reviews seriously b/c this could happen to you. I considered the ratings and ignored the bad reviews. Who wants to pay twice for the same work.

Dr. Wilkins has been my Dentist for about 5 years! She truly knows how to take care of her patients. 3 years ago, my wisdom tooth cracked and became infected and needed to be pulled immediately, I contacted Dr. Wilkins office and left a msg with the after hours answering service, I recvd a call back from Dr. Wilkins within 15 mins concerned about my situation. She advised me to come into the office the next morning, once I did, she realized wisdom tooth was infected and needed to be pulled. Dr. Wilkins also realized that my blood pressure was too high and allowed time for it to come down before starting procedure. Dr. Wilkins pulled what was remaining of wisdom tooth out with very little pain and knowing that the other wisdom tooth should be pulled or would eventually cause me problems, i allowed her to pull both the same day. I didnt have any issues after that. Since then Dr. Wilkins has performed a root canal and several deep cleanings on me. Both my 16 and 17 year old have received cleanings and fillings by Dr. Wilkins with no issues. She is truly AWESOME and I would recommend her to anyone! WCFD is the place to go!!

I was going to be a new patient to this dentist office. I called this dentist office twice to schedule an appointment and was placed on hold both times, with no one ever returning back to the telephone. The first time I was on hold for about twenty minutes. Given the benefit of the doubt I figure maybe they were just busy; so I decided to call back the next day to try and schedule another appointment. This time when the person answer the phone they ask me to hold for a moment so he could get some information from me. The person answering the telephone NEVER returned back to the phone. I am currently still on hold and have been on hold for 1hr. and 19 mins. to be exact. I was a new customer; however, after been on hold for so long two days in a roll I completely give up. I guess I will have to take my business else where. Trying to support my community; but, things like this makes it very difficult to do so.

this place is the worst dentistry ever. my experience was just like a nightmare. my sons one tooth has cavity. they suggested me to fill the cavity ASAP, saying it might become worse in future. I trust them be professional, so I followed their advice. I took my son to this place and let them to do a simple filling. Guess what, my sons tooth had to be pulled out eventually because of a severe infection caused just by their terrible operation and unprofessional service. They even did not prescribe an antibiotics to prevent infection. . I regret so much to take my son this terrible place. Warning everyone to stay away from this dentistry. They are not professional and they are not trained well. Do not risk your childrens health and life.

The first day l walk in the door she (forgot her name) said are you Mrs. Williams. That made me feel at home. After doing the paperwork and taking my picture. I was in the back with in 5 minutes. Getting my X-ray. Return a week later to get my tooth deep clean and that male (dont know his name) was awesome and very gentle. Also had to get feeling and other work done. Laronda made me feel comfortable talking me though each step and giving me a blanket to stay warm. Mr. J went through my plan with me and answer all my questions. The doctor really listen to you and have some jokes for you

The actual dental care seemed alright. However, if you care about your privacy DO NOT go to this dentist. Right off the bat, they took a photocopy of my drivers license. Next, they wanted to take a PHOTO of me. Ive never had this happen at any dentist. Im a well dressed college-educated guy, not a convict. I told them politely that I didnt want this, but then they made up a story and said they do this so they can better recognize their clients when they walk in the door. This was my first and will be my last visit to this dentist.
