I waited for over an hour to see the doctor. When he finally entered, he was curt (bordering on rude) and rushed. When I described the problem I was having, he immediately responded by stating "that he doesnt prescribe narcotics." I have been a patient at his practice for 4 years, and have NEVER asked for narcotics, nor was I asking for narcotics on this occasion. Instead, I was inquiring about a referral to a specialist. He then quickly changed course, realizing that his statement/accusation offended me. The rest of the visit took less than 5 minutes, and it ended with him giving me a printout about another doctor. I left feeling insulted and unheard. The week prior to my visit, I was traveling and forgot one of my medications. I called his office to ask for TWO of the capsules to be called into a local pharmacy. I cannot stop this medication abruptly, as it has severe withdrawal symptoms. His nurse informed me that "they do not call things in," but that she would "talk to the doctor" and "see what she could do." I gave her the phone number, and the doctor did not call in the medicine. I spent the next two days having pain AND having to check with the pharmacy every few hours to see if it had arrived. When I asked the doctor about this situation during my visit, he said he "was completely unaware" that this situation occurred and thanked me for letting him know. He had never even received the request. Ridiculously, his office called in the prescription the day of my office visit (a week after I returned from the trip). His P.A., Lisa, is fantastic, and I would HIGHLY recommend her if you choose this practice. I will never see Dr. Schramm again.

I have been a patience of Dr. Schramm for years at least 15 years... But lately is The Family Practice Center staff has been just unbearable to work with. Especially the non-doctors like for instance the so called nurses that are supposed to be helpful over the phone, or the receptionist that are very rude... They dont listen when you call and place you on long waits. I called yesterday because I was and am experiencing vertigo and the so called nurse was telling me regardless of me not able to drive that I needed to come into the office and they would work me in. But Dr. Schramm has patiences that are already on his schedule and basically you arent a patience we are just working you in... Who and Why are you treating his patiences like that... That nurse needs to lose her job very unprofessional. After trying to figure how I could get to the doctor’s office I just said forget it... I will look for another doctor’s office to get treated going forward...I really enjoyed seeing Dr. Schramm a very compassionate doctor and was always on point when diagnosis my medical issues... Even dealing with Lisa Armstrong NP-C was a joy to see when Dr. Schramm wasn’t available. It’s an awful feeling when you have to find a new doctor because of his staff being inconsiderate to his patience’s.

He is the best internist and family practice doctor that I have ever experienced. His knowledge of any kind of illness or problem that I ever experienced has been "right on". He is an extremely patient, kind, compassionate and most of all INTELLIGENT doctor here in Atlanta.
