I have gone here, not once, but twice so far for different health concerns (Pap smear + Car Accident for vitals/overall health check up) and I will continue to go here. I was extremely nervous, at first, because I had done so much research on different doctors and practices throughout the metro Atlanta area and after reading many mixed reviews about different practices, I started to become discouraged. I heard of this practice through a friend and I knew that this practice had to be good because the friend is a stickler for overall value and quality. I scheduled an appointment and even though I got lost which put me way past my scheduled appointment time, they still saw me the same day and my wait time was very quick (no more than 15-20 minutes, if that). Dr. Wendy Parrish and her staff made me feel extremely comfortable and open as far as my health was concerned. I was able to willingly open up and express all of my health concerns and I, in return, was educated on my health concerns. I even learned things that I did not know and I didnt feel demeaned when it was being explained. I like that the practice is small because I felt like a human being and not "just a number". I like this place and I would recommend and have recommended Highpoint Family Practice to a couple of friends and family and I will continue. The practice might be quite the distance but is worth every penny of the drive, especially when it comes to your health and finding a doctor who has your best interest at heart. The energy here is great and you can tell that Dr. Parrish as well s her staff are working in their passion and genuine as well as personable.

This office is so unprofessional and uncaring. Please seek treatment else where. Just like the previous person stated the male that answers the phone is so rude and will speak to you in a very mean tone. The office called to tell me my insurance was inactive in which I knew this couldnt be true, so I took the liberty to call and get the rep on the phone to speak with the guy. He yelled at me and the insurance rep saying the portal states my insurance is inactive!. The portal had some type of gliche and wasnt showing correctly, however the rep kept saying sir she is active can I fax u proof of eligibility/verification and he said NO!!! Now do u want the appointment or not? And if you do you will pay out of pocket! I waited a month and a half for this appointment but to be treated so bad is ludicris not to mention Im in the medical field and know for a fact that this was not handled appropriately! I reached out to Wendy personally to let her know how I was treated and she didnt even responded. I hate saying this but this why I dont like supporting black businesses! So Wendy if you read this the guy you havee working for you is very unprofessional and uncaring if you dont address this issue soon he will be your downfall! I will never recommend another person to that facility again. I have referred over 40 people to your practice because of the field Im in but not anymore.

Nice helpful nurse practitioner. The staff however, no so much. The black male will talk to you like dirt. Place you on hold for very long periods of time. I called for an appointment and his careless attitude was horrid for a doctors office. He talked down to me. And when I stated I would stop coming he told me "Do what you gotta do!" Who talks to a posting client like that? I was literally in tears. He tried to book me an appointment 30 days out. 30 DAYS for a urgent issue. He didnt care about my health or well being. When I said I also have a prescription that will soon need refilled, he said " You cant just wait until the last minute you have to book in advance." But he fail to understand my medical is a controlled substance and had to be prescribed every 30 days. Just unhappy and mean. I have 15 days worth of pills left. I went to a new better doctor. I asked for the office manager and. The black man ignored me and kept repeating "Do you want the appointment or not.", in a rude and condescending matter. I insisted on speaking with the manager and he placed me on hold so long I had to hang up. Do not go here. Try LiveOn Medical Center on Jonesboro road in McDonough. The office is cleaner, staff and doctors are more respectful and friendly. And you do not have to wait 30 days for an appointment on a urgent concern.

Wendy is an amazing doctor but her staff needs work. In particular, the older African American male receptionist. I complained about my wait time to the nurse, which was about 30 minutes. This male employee jumped into the conversation without an invite and told me that thats how doctors offices were. No apology, no care or concern. I asked him, does that make it right? He said he was the owner and if I didnt like it I could leave. Wait... What? Thats what you say to a CUSTOMER whom you need to get paid? I admit, I cursed him out and left, with no apology. I will not go back while he is employed there. And I hope for Wendys sake, that she takes this review seriously and allows him to explore employment elsewhere.

Highly professional, patient focused practice. The staff is friendly and works to ensure every patients needs are met. The provider, Wendy Parrish, is amazing! She listens to and spends the necessary time with patients in order to address all concerns. Shes very thorough and investigates every possibility before providing a diagnosis. She wants to know the whole person. She is caring, compassionate, thoughtful, patient, knowledgeable and friendly. I trust her for my healthcare needs and those of my family.

The office is one of the best i have ever been to, the front desk staff was perfect and the office mgr went out the way not once but all 5 times i have been there, the office appearance was great. Everyone was nice and helpful, the Dr. bedside manners are in a class by they self, I never had anyone so detail. Great office and i will continue to be a patient.

Doctor Wendy is great! But I had a appointment at 1:30 and waited three hours to be seen because of walk in patients that had NO appointment! Also guy in the back needs to learn respect and front desk clerk shouldnt ask walk in patients why their here then decline them when they say I would prefer to talk about it with the doctor!

Dr. Parrish has great bedside manners and Whitney is good. The front office staff needs people skills. Ive almost left several times just because of the staff.But a great doctor is hard to find.
