I wanted to like Dr. Challa because shes nice in person. The office is dirty and run down and wait times are long, but she sees lots of low income immigrant patients and I respect that, so I didnt mind that she kept costs low that way. But now shes screwed up my prescriptions multiple times, and most recently shes demanded to see me monthly in order to prescribe a refill of my inhaler for mild, well controlled exercise-induced asthma. Ive had this condition for nearly 30 years and it has never been anything but mild. In that time, Ive had several primary care physicians and none have ever needed to see me more than once a year to prescribe my inhaler. When I saw her for a physical less than a year ago, I asked her to prescribe enough refills to last the year and she agreed, but then only prescribed one refill. She advised me to use the inhaler before exercising to prevent issues when I exercise, as is standard practice when treating this disease. However, if I use it as she recommended and exercise regularly, there was never any chance of one refill lasting a year. I thought, no big deal, Ill just call when I need a refill as I would with any other doctor. However when I did that, her staff told me that she will not prescribe a refill if she hasnt seen me in the past 30 days. Doesnt even matter if shes seen me for something related to the issue. If my asthma were severe or not well controlled or I were not an otherwise healthy young woman I would understand, but it makes no sense under the circumstances. Ive done the research myself and there are no medical guidelines recommending monthly monitoring for well controlled asthma. The only reason I can think of to require a visit to get my inhaler refilled is simply so they can charge my insurance for a completely unnecessary service. And thats insurance fraud. Furthermore, since I suspect she sees many Medicaid or Medicare patients, I suspect there is fraud against those programs happening here as well. Im planning to report these suspicions and hope they will be investigated. Ive been trying to actually talk to Dr. Challa about this for several days now, but I believe her staff is blocking that. Ive left multiple messages and been assured that she will call me back herself, and it has not happened. The staff have lied to me by telling me Dr. Challa said something and then let slip that actually it was the office manager who said it. Im not sure she has even been informed of this situation. The staff have been unhelpful and rude. I highly recommend avoiding this practice. They dont offer very good service to start with, and will scam you out of your money and time first chance they get.

Worst doc to go to if u have an ear prob. I just visited to get ear wax removed. First of all, the receptionist or the front desk is always supposed to know what kind of machines or methods are used just for ear wax removal. I had specifically asked for the vacuum method to which the receptionist said that they had it. Thats why i went ahead and made an appointment. Next, when i reached there the wait was for over an hour even after an appointment and form filling ( which were also unbearably long). On reaching for consultation she just checked the ear from her basic machines and said the it can be removed with hydrogen peroxide. A nurse came to do it after waiting for another half hr. Nothing happened with the flushing out system. When i asked for the vacuum machine ( suction method) they said they didnt have it. The receptionist also refused to having making any claims abt it. The experience overall was terrible and we had to take an other appointment with some other (better) doc.

Dr. Challa was very nice, professional and a great doctor. I can tell she cares more about the well being of her patients that she does about making money. I hit my head and went in to see if I had a concussion or not. I was expecting to have to get an expensive MRI afterwards. I am used to doctors sending patients off to get expensive tests they dont need. She performed all the tests and said I was fine and did not need an MRI, which was a relief cause I cant afford to get one. I appreciate the facy that she did not refer to get one unnecessarily, and to me that displayed she is genuinely concerned with the well being of her patients.

I am disgusted with the service I didnt even get, I am an adolescent and I came here on my own because my mom was working, I have two insurance cards my mother gave me, they were too lazy to find out which insurance would cover my visit and dismissed me with "you dont have insurance". I am very sick with a flu like sickness from a hospital not being clean enough when I was there getting stitches. I never asked for this misery, the hospital didnt give me pain meds for my stitches, and they obviously didnt clean my room right, and now people cant even do their jobs right to fix something that shouldnt even of happened.

The stuff in the front desk they are not professional every time you go there a deal make you wait and wait for hours and if you call them for some kind of help or someone you need to talk to They make you call back every time and if you leave a message they never called back. I wont be back there again. everyone should remember you were not going there for free check up or free anything The way they treat me you feels like its free. They should give respect to the patient.
