Billing appears to be a significant concern for many patients. Reviews indicate that the billing department is difficult to reach and that the facility has charged patients multiple times for the same symptoms.
Some reviewers have been going to MedHelp for over 15 years and have mostly positive experiences to share. They appreciate the doctors for listening attentively and providing helpful advice on managing conditions like elevated blood sugar levels.

This facility ran tests and said they were unable to even read results during my time at the facility. The doctor perscribed two medications without having a diagnosis. The nurses at the checkout were very rude and sent me back in for a doctors excuse for missing work and had to wait 10 minutes while the nurses and Doctor ate their Arbys in front of me for me to get excuse. They were telling each other to make it for me, which I felt like my time was not worth theirs. The doctor said he assumed it was the flu and perscribed me two medications when it was not after further test results at another clinic. The doctors perscribed medications that were not covered by my insurance and also perscribed a medication I did not show symptoms of even needing that drug. The billing associate was also extremely rude after two days of trying to contact the office with no call back. After finally reaching the billing office and paying the bill for tests that were not even able to be useful since they took longer to show results for than the time of being there, hung up on me at the end of the conversation without thanking for even using their clinic. I work in customer service and rate this clinic overall as a one out of five because of the doctors and nurses. The only thing I cared for about this facility is that it was that it was clean. I never want to use these doctors again that want you in and out so quickly. They run tests without looking at the results and diagnose you as quickly as possible to get you in and out. It doesnt help that the workers are not appreciative of your business either.

I have been here a thousand times and it has progressively gotten worse each time. When I got there I signed in as normal and sat down like I always have and waited to be called to pay my co-pay. When I went to the receptionist she told me my co-pay is $60, well EVERYTIME Ive ever been there I have paid for a regular PCP copay which is not $60. My insurance has not changed. I asked the receprionist why it was $60, with an attitude she said "because thats your urgent care copay look on your card its on your card", so I explained that I had never paid for an urgent care before and Ive never made an appointment to come in so it didnt make sense for my co-pay to all of a sudden jump 35 dollars. Receptionist was extremely rude and gave no explanation except "this is how it is if youre not going to pay it then leave". Very disappointed and extremely annoyed at this point. I will never l go back again. I do not recommend you go. Previous to this experience I had a doctor who diagnosed me incorrectly 4 different times, where I had to come back and pay the copay 4 different times because the doctor could not diagnose me correctly, and they would not waive my copays. Prior to that, I had to get a steroid shot and a week after the shot, the spot became infected and growing large and swollen and filled with green puss. I had covered it with bandaid and washed it normal as I always have. I dont know what is going on with this facility but the staff needs to get it together.

I have been going to MedHelp for 15 years, both the one on Lakeshore and more recently MedHelp 280. Have I ever had less than 5 star service ever? Only once, but I didnt like the lecture I got for smoking when I had pneumonia. In retrospect, I deserved it, but I was not happy at the time. Other than that 4 star rating, I have nothing but the highest praise for the physicians because they truly do listen and are sincerely devoted to helping. During one annual physical exam, my blood sugar was elevated, and I was given several options on how NOT become a diabetic. I really didnt want to give up my chocolate candy, didnt want to take the medicine, didnt want to get stuck in the finger frequently to test my blood sugar at home, and didnt want to exercise more. But, I followed doctors orders, and my last two A1C annual tests have been good. Dr. Mike Vaughn and Dr. Jordan Vaughn are my preferred physicians at either the 280 or Lakeshore locations. but when neither one was available, I have experience great care from either a staff physician or a physician assistant. Being a senior citizen who has live in many different cities with top notch medical schools, I can honestly rate MedHelp as among the elite and would certainly rate their services better than some local hospitals.

If a negative rating were possible I would give it. Medhelp 280 is HORRIBLE. The doctors do not thoroughly evaluate their patients, and the billing department will screw you everytime. My first visit was related to suspected appendicitis. The doctor talked to me for 10 seconds and told me to just drive myself to the hospital. Verdict at the hospital after 4 hours and $450 later--not appendicitis. With a thorough exam, the waste of time and money could have been avoided. My second visit was for respiratory issues. Again, extremely minimal time spent with me (the patient) in the exam room. I was given a steroid shot and told it was allergies. Four days later, my symptoms the same, I go back to be diagnosed with walking pneumonia. I was charged twice. Once for each visit, even though the visit four days later was for the SAME symptoms they dismissed four days prior. Again, a thorough exam could have avoided this poor decision could have been avoided. Their billing department is a joke. I had to pursue it for a week and a half just to talk to a person about it; they never call back.

Where can I take him then and with a verry smart ass audited she said ummmmmmmm I dont know maybe I dont know!!! I was like whatever... she wasted my time with a kid that has a broken collar bone and didnt seam to care at all... she doesnt deserve to have that job where she has to interact with a parent like this!! Its uncalled!!! I will never come to this place again and I will tell everyone I know and I will post on different pages for people not to come there, promise I will go above and beyond to let everyone know about what happened!!!

Ive visited this location quite a few times and the conclusion i have come to is its hit or miss. You had better come in with something identifiable and you already know for a fact what you need to help it if you are seeking good aid. The Drs dont seem to think too much about what may be the problem and are quick prescribe you something ludicrously expensive than actually figure out what might be your problem. They are eager to get you in and kick you out while you are left in pain to get that medical bill up and since you are frantic for help you revisit when what they prescribed you doesnt work in the slightest. No mention of referral or tests are spoken just "If this doesnt work come in again and well prescribe you something else". I ended up having enough of the BS and watching the bill escalate. I ended up figuring out what was wrong myself and self-helped faster than the professional could. Ill say again If you have something easily treatable then its a good place to go as its a quick in and out. Place is clean and staff are ok.
