Wow, there really is a heavenly medical office here on earth! Medhelp in Trussville, you all excel in warm-hearted, compassionate, thoughtful conversations, gestures and acts. The copay to your place should be higher for these most unusual practices in the medical industry. Most medical places, I feel, or I witness others treated like a number, or that someone is just processing a widget and/or collecting money. Yesterday while I was waiting to be seen for the first time, I witnessed a young lady coming out from behind her work station to give a young girl bottled water to ease her coughing. Tissues were readily available. When patients were leaving the processing desk, you could hear staff sweetly say,.".we hope you feel better soon". Doctor Yu came in the exam room with a handshake, and the rest of the staff was gentle-spirited. The office was very clean. While the patients were in the waiting room, there was coffee, tea, and chocolate available. OH, and did I mention, TIMELY OFFICE VISITS! PLUS PLUS, PLUS. My first visit was an appointment. The Medhelp website has forms readily available to fill out in advance. I sure dont want to be sick, but if I am, and my primary care is not able to see me, I will be back. And, I will refer others in need of physical healing where to find human angels at work! God Bless you all and thank you for your care and kindness. BIG HUGS

Probably THE WORST experience at a doctors office. I understand its a Sunday & no one wants to be working & theyd rather be at home relaxing with their families. But we get there get called back pretty quick which was pretty good. Go to the first room to check my blood pressure & weight. Well, as Im getting my blood pressure checked the machine is screwing up & the lady blames me & says "it keeps tightening because you keep moving" with a strong attitude as well. Okay, first of all, I have had my blood pressure taken multiple times, I was doing exactly what I was supposed to do. Well, same lady walks us back to the room instead of walking us in & being kind she points to the room & says "there." Well, okay? I go sit down & wait.. Doctor walks in I tell him my symptoms..cough, sore throat, runny nose & chest pains. He checks my throat & listens to my chest only 2 times & decides hes going to give me 2 shots & order me an antibiotic.. Okay? Whatd you hear in my chest? What is wrong with me? How will the medications help? Well, I get the shots & we ask for the doctor to come back to listen to my chest one more time & he ran no tests at all & says "its probably walking pneumonia" ha. Isnt it funny how 1.we have to ask him to come back to get more information. 2.he said "he thinks". Quite frustrating visit.

I have been reading all of the other reviews and they talk about how amazing their experience was but I had quiet the opposite experience. Let me go ahead and give a disclaimer that I never and I mean never write bad reviews. This one I just could not contain, I want to start off saying that the ladies up front were nice and helpful and some of the nurses were nice but the doctor was the downfall. He walked in and asked me what was wrong and before I could say more than eight words he cut me off and started checking my breathing. Once he was done checking my breathing I went to proceed with my explanation and he told he would be right back. The nurse came in about 15 minutes later to give me a shot and she told me everything that was going on. I waited another 30 minutes before the doctor came back in said "you have strep, medicine is on the way to pharmacy" then turned around and walked away before I could say thank you. I thought hey he must have had just a bad day. So I went to give it another try today sense it had been 3 months sense my last visit but nope I had the exact same experience. I was very unsatisfied with my care and I will not be returning to this MedHelp again.

They opened at 8am , I was the 3rd person to sign in ( at 8:03am). Of course may people came in after me. I wasn’t called back until after 9am (at least 10 people were called before me, all of them signed in after me). My vitals were checked, than I was told to go back to the waiting room because no exam rooms were available. At that point all I could do is cry ( Id had chills all night and my body was aching and I had a temp , I thought I might have the flu and I ended up being right) About 10 minutes later I was called to a room, about 10 minutes the doctor came in did about a 5 minute exam, left the room and didnt come back for about 20 minutes. When he did, he told what I had, asked did I want a shot, I said yes and he left the room. Nurse came about another 20 minutes later. Ill never go again!!

I have been to several "doc in the box" clinics and have to say that MedHelp is hands down the most professional place I have yet to visit. Dr.Yu was kind, patient and listened to me. After my exam, he doubled checked my allergies and verified my pharmacy. He sent a nurse to administer a couple of shots and I was told my prescriptions would be called in for me. They were very efficient without wasting anyones time. Every staff person with whom I interacted was very pleasant and professional. As soon as I got to my car, I called my pharmacy (CVS-Chalkville Mt Rd) to verify when I could pick up and was told that I could come in 30 minutes. I have been there 3 or 4 times previously and I know that MedHelp is a top notch clinic... period.

I went to this place twice for yearly physical exam this year. The staff did talk to me nicely. The problem I have with this place is this, after the exam they never sent me my the report, their online portal has been down for months, they never called me about my report either. I had to call them to ask if I need to be concerned about anything with my exam. I had to go back again for 2nd physical exam, and after that I have not heard anything from them again. I cannot access my report on the online portal either because its been down for ever it seems. They sent me bill for $300 when i am already covered by my insurance for the yearly physical exam. I would not go to this place again.

They never call your prescription in to your pharmacy the first two times you call and request it. They wait until the third time you call, when you are very angry, and then blame it on the pharmacy. They take your blood, say they will call with results in a week, and never call. You must call them at least twice before someone will find your chart and say "theres no liver damage". They dont tell you anything else because they dont look beyond the basic requirement. Im very dissatisfied with the poor level of service of not following up with a patient after telling them they will. You need to say what youll do, and then do what you say, if you want to grow your customer base.
