It wasnt enough that the one doctor I was seeing chose to send a critical message via the online portal when a phone call should have been made. What happened you ask? I worsened without knowing it was serious, and ended up in the ER and had a weekend stay. I was taken off work for a week and had a balance of around 405.00. During this time no money coming in and short term disability paid me a grand total of $50.00 (they have a week exclusion..smdh). At any rate, set up a payment arrangement with the clinic and thought all was fine. I got a letter from my bank saying my data was compromised and they sent me a new card. I forgot about the payment arrangement and they tried to take out on the old card, never once phoning me, etc. When i tried to make an appt. I got told that I could speak with the billing office. Spoke with Tabitha, who snottily informed me the payment plan they didnt have to set up and they dont normally do that..how nice of you to try and rub my nose in it. When I called her on it by saying I didnt ask for them to do that, and said I appreciated it regardless but I didnt like her tone, nor the fact she was using this as some sort of excuse. I asked if you were having problems with the card, why didnt you phone? "We dont do that". Really? You want your effing money so bad, why not call? She said I could talk to the business manager regarding my other concerns with treatment, but I was at work. I told her Id call back on Friday with a payment, but Jesus H. Christ, is there anyone in there who doesnt act like a jerk?

Dr. Gaston is a very nice Doctor. However, his nurse is something entirely different. Started around 8am this morning trying to get a refill on my insulin with CVS pharmacy. The pharmacist said I didnt have any refills and had to call it in. When I got off work a little before 2, I called CVS to see if they had heard anything and sure enough, they hadnt. I went to Summit Primary and spoke with the receptionist who assured me that Faye "would get around to it this afternoon." Waited another 1 1/2 hrs and called. Spoke with an operator and explained I had to have the medicine. She sent Faye another message and told me that they didnt except requests from pharmacies which is a crock. Tried to argue with me and I asked her to have Faye call me back soon. Its been an hour and a half and I still dont have my med called in. They dont care if you live or die as long as they make a paycheck working at their own pace. Im going back to my endocrinologist next month for my diabetic needs because I will certainly not get them from here.

Dr. Milligan is....."unique". I dont expect my doctor to do back flips and juggle while simultaneously writing me a prescription, but I do expect them to at least speak to me with some dignity. I told him what was wrong with me, and I could tell that he wasnt listening. He rushed through my examination and threw some medication at me and pushed me out of the door. When he speaks, its as if hes talking down to you. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, and saw him for a total of 5 more times before I realized that he was just...rude! Is he competent? Yes. Hes a very intelligent doctor. However all the medications he prescribed me were unnecessary, and he orders labs for the most random things ($$$$$) Im used to seeing Nurse Practitioners anyway (and prefer it) because theyre a lot better at holistically looking at whats going on with you, and not trying to push medication after medication on you.

I work at Summit Hospital in the ICU. Working at the hospital you get to know Doctors quite well. I CHOSE Summit Primary Care for the fact I trust every doctor in the group. I am not only a nurse but also a patient. Trust me..you wont find a better group of Docs. I see people complaining about scheduling, and such on here. Trust me you will find that at ANY docs office. Dont let a few bad experiences tell the story. Evaluate the care you get from the doctors not the staff, which by the way I have NEVER had 1 problem with. The thing I like most about the docs in this practice is they are not only excellent at what they do..they take time to listen. Most docs have a stethoscope ion your chest one hand on a pen and 1/2 out the door. They take time to listen and evaluate you. That is rare today.

Treated like cattle "Pay First before you can be seen" Herded through testing, was never given the test results was told "go to the website" with no information or directions of how to use their horrific web interface. No one explained what anything meant, nor offered to. This leads to the overwhelming feeling they are just there to make money off your insurance, not to help you. After they have your money, just expect to not have your phone calls returned if you actually want to know anything about test results or billing discrepancies. Scrutinize your billings very carefully. I was just reviewing what they billed me and what my insurance says I owe because of the network discounts and found the numbers to be vastly different.

Beyond pissed these people have lost their minds. So I show up for my appointment Today a little reminder my appointment was set up a month ago no one informed me of a past due balance when I.set this appointment up so when i get there they have a balance of 48.80 including the 20 i would have payed today. Im like were did this $28.80 come from the front desk couldnt tell me exactly were the balance had come from so they refused to see me due to this balance then turns around and say that the copay i had to pay today will be a no show fee so I have my lawyer looking into to this payment but best believe I will never and I mean never go back to this doctor office very unprofessional.

Wife denied treatment for wrist pain. Staff says its a workers comp case, so they referred her to her employer. Refused to make an appointment for evaluation and treatment. These people must have special gifts from up above to be able to diagnose, on the phone, the cause of her medical issue. Yes, it could have resulted from an on-the-job injury; but it could also be, say, arthritis or some other non job-related issue. Thank God we have other options; so were withdrawing from this medical group in favor of Vanderbilt Medical Clinic. Sad, because we really liked our primary care physician, Dr. Maria Roberts, my dermatologist, Dr. Meyer, and my audiologist, B.I. Hutchison.

Was recommended to come here because the doctor was great for my friend. The only good thing about my visit was that my wait time was only 10 minutes, as a walk in patient. I can call and call the doctors nurse, but I never receive a call back. It took 4 days to receive my lab results back and they never called me with the test results. I understand that sometimes the easiest way is to send information to the patient portal, but with labs some people may not understand how to read them! There is a very slim chance that I will ever go back to this facility because the doctor can never speak to you and the doctors nurse can never get anyone to call you back.
