Dr. US mani was my daughters dentist for 3 years... in September 2014 she started with pain in her lower tooth... we went in more than 10 times over the course of 4 months with my 13 year olds continued complaint of tooth pain, Dr. US mani told me he had completed a root canal in that tooth and kept telling us she needed a crown to stop the pain... but that required her to be 14 for the insurance to cover it... we waited for her birthday the office promised to have everything in order for it to be done immediately after her birthday... her birthday came and the pain increased to the point of her not being able to eat... I called them for help... the response was that... the insurance had not approved the crown.. but they would do it for cash with a 700 deposit up front. I called the insurance to find out the delay... the insurance informed me that no claim had been filed by the doctor since september... where that claim was approved.. but for a stainless steel crown!!! I had not been informed.. because the doctor wanted to wait to do a porcelain crown which makes him more money!!! He decided to keep my daughter in pain... to make more money!!! Or take my cash!!!! I took her to another dentist the following day... and found out that Dr. Usmani had never done a root canal... but he did a filling touching her root!!! No wonder she was in pain! The new dentist did a root canal immediately!! Astounding! The new dentist told me the crown would have never stopped her pain.. I plan to file a claim with the dental society. Unethical selfish people should be reported when they make decisions based in money but not to be in business to help others. We are all here to help each other... I would want to know ahead of time if I was taking my child to a good dentist... that is the reareason for this posting. Be careful if you plan to make this man your dentist.

The Delaware Smile Center is a great place to be! I have been a patient of Dr. Sophies since 2013. We had a consultation with her about braces, to see what option worked the best for my treatment. We picked braces with more of a clear look to them, so they were not so visible. Being an "adult" with braces, and working with the public, I wanted the least visible as possible. Prior to treatment, I had my teeth cleaned with Abby, who was such a pleasure! I did have a few cavities filled with Dr. Usmani who wanted me to take care of everything before starting my treatment with Dr. Sophie. After everything was clean and ready to go, I started my treatment with Dr. Sophie in October of 2013. I will have to say, I am 100% pleased thus far. I am 100% compliant. I always brush, floss, have my 6 month cleanings, and wear my rubber bands; which helps speed up the process. My braces will be coming off at the end of this summer, and I am so excited. To me, they look awesome already! I am in the home stretch. Dr. Sophie is now correcting my bite and closing some small gaps. WOW, what a difference braces make. My before and after pictures are gonna rock! Dr. Sophie is so talented and such a great Doctor. I am always SO excited to come in for my follow ups. Those 4-6 weeks cannot come quick enough. Now, who really can say that about going to the Dentist? Everyone is so welcoming and nice at the office. Katie and Nicole at the front desk are so great at check in/ out and on the phone. Shawn, who helps with the financing aspect; is also very helpful and wonderful! I also would like to mention how gorgeous the office is. I am so proud to be part of the Delaware Smile Center family. A 5 star rating is truly not enough in my eyes. Thank you all for providing excellent care! - Erin Graves

I am very pleased with the staff and the dentists at Delaware Smile Center. We just recently took our three children (10, 11, 12) for their annual cleaning and check ups. We are new to Delaware and found this center online and were confident of the reviews. The office was very clean and comforting, while the staff were friendly and helpful. I was impressed with their self computer system which made the check in process quick and painless. I especially enjoyed how each of the dental hygienists came out to introduce themselves and give us updates on our childrens progress. After the cleanings, two dentists came out to introduce themselves and took us back to the office area to discuss our childrens evaluations and work that needed to be done. They showed us pictures and explained everything clearly and detailed, then they discussed payment options and appointment times. My daughter has anxiety disorder and a fear of dentists, so they explained some options for her during her procedures. They were comforting and understanding. I also liked that they had television for the kids in the dental room to keep them occupied. The only recommendation I would make is to have more options for the kids in the waiting area, such as a separate television for kids shows, game consoles, or kids magazines while they wait. BUT, my kids did enjoy their wifi connection for their iPods. For our first visit, we really liked the Delaware Smile Center and Ill even be leaving my own current dentist for them. However, we will see how the continued visits are after the other dental work. But for now, TWO THUMBS UP for the Delaware Smile Center!

It isnt easy for me to describe exactly what this place has meant to me, but at the risk of coming across like some kind of corporate shill, Im going to try. I used to live with mouth pain. All the time. People take for granted the bliss of being able to engage in what should be mundane, uneventful things--drinking water, for instance, or simply breathing--without that sudden, chilling shock of nerve pain coming with it, but believe me when I tell you that that was my life before DSC. It was so commonplace for me that I just accepted it and somehow, over the years, got used to everything hurting. Long story short, this place has freed me of that burden, and I can live, laugh, and smile like a normal person. Everything here is excellent. The staff showed me nothing but friendliness, professionalism, and patience, and believe me, my mouth was a war zone and could not possibly have been easy to work on, even for people as experienced as they are. I can tell you first hand and without a doubt that they are thorough, caring, and their interest in your well-being is genuine, which, in my experience, occurs surprisingly rarely in the medical field. I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone whos looking for a dentist. You will not regret coming here.

My family (there are 5 of us, including a child with special needs) have been happy customers of Delaware Smile Center since they opened. We absolutely LOVE everyone there ... even as the staff grows, the integrity and efficiency in which they practice is so appreciated. Its nice to know that good, personable (and non-rushed) customer service is readily available at every phone call or while checking out. We also love the text and email reminders (SAVE THE TREES!). Also, hearing that a child needs braces always gives a parent a pit in their stomach; we shopped around and Delaware Smile Center is definitely the most cost-effective office to offer orthodontic services (plus, lets face it - Dr. Sophie is awesome). I would highly recommend this dentist/orthodontist practice to anyone. Between having a phobic person with bad dental experiences in the past coupled with a special needs child; the technicians, Drs. Usmani (dentists) and Dr. Sophie (orthodontics) couldnt be more compassionate and accommodating. THANK YOU EVERYONE AT DELAWARE SMILE CENTER FOR COMING TO MIDDLETOWN AND HAVING SUCH A WONDERFUL FACILITY STAFFED WITH GREAT PEOPLE! <3
