it was moms 3rd heart surgery @ Baylor Jack & Jayne Hamilton in Dallas, Texas .... everyone was so nice and helpful from the friendly gentleman that worked the Valet parking, as he was the first person that greeted us each morning with a big smile, it was nice to receive such treatment. I do not recall his name, however I will never forget his smile each day. The lady at the desk on ground floor was great, (I remember after they took Mom in to surgery, I was walking outside and may have had a tear rolling down my face and once she seen me she jumped to her feet and asked if I was ok, I felt that she cared and was concerned, she asked if I wanted to talk about it, I thanked her and went outside for fresh air) the nurses on the third floor, Jordan, Amy and Hailey was the best... Mom was not the best patient and we had a hard time keeping her in bed as she was to lay flat on her back for a period of time, anyway she attempted to get out of bed twice when we walked out of the room for whatever reason, Jordan, Amy and Hailey was some of Moms nurses and I just want to say that if you end up @ Baylor like us for a third heart surgery, if you are blessed with this team of nurses trust me when I say that you are in the best of care. I asked questions, I wanted to know what each number was for on the monitors and the nurses explained everything to me, I was told the ideal range for where they wanted the numbers to stay, I was told each time they came in the room and check on Mom exactly what they were checking, the experience was great. Mom was in ICU with a nurse posted at the window around the clock. Jordan, Amy and Hailey thank you so much for your awesome help, I felt that you all went above and beyond the call of your job duties, anytime we stepped out of the room we knew that Mom was in the best of care. There was a family member with Mom at all times, thank you for making us feel welcomed and taking care of us as well as mom. May God bless you all and your families. From the gentleman at Valet to the discharge nurse, we want to say Thank You for doing such a outstanding job, you guys not only saved my moms life, you went above and beyond the call of duty and helped our family through one of the toughest times in life. Baylor is Blessed to have this outstanding staff.

August 1, 2016 Nancy Vish, RN, PhD President: Jack and Jane Hamilton Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital 621 N Hall St Dallas, TX 75226 Re: My six month Journey at Baylor Dear Dr. Vish I was admitted to Baylor on February 2, 2016, discharged from BIR on April 20 and today my 36 sessions at the Walter I. Berman Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation Center in the Tom Landry Health and Wellness Center concluded. To say my experience has been unusual for the past 6 months would not be a stretch. I arrived via Ambulance and was given 4 stents by Dr. Donsky. The next 6 weeks were spent in the ICU (Dr. Lima) where I received outstanding care that saved my life. Among other complications I was on ECMO and dialysis. The Baylor staff never gave up on me and after 6 weeks I “woke up” and shortly thereafter was admitted to BIR unable to walk. While in ICU I coded twice and suffered strokes and “bleeds.” With me through this ordeal was my wife Julie, son Brendan and daughter Erin (MD, Anesthesia OAG in Portland OR). I left BIR on April 20. At BIR my treatment was incredible and upon release I was referred to Berman beginning my rehab on April 27. At BIR I worked with several but most frequently Jenn, Maggie, Adriel, Andre and Leigh made sure I was ready to return home and move on to Berman – all great professionals. At Berman Anne, Stephanie, Tiffany, Katelyn, Pasquale, Darion, Tim, Rey, Deloris, Nicole, Sara, Stephanie S, Jenny, Ray, Susie and a young Intern from Skyline (Kim) kept me on track. Day 1 I arrived at Berman on a walker and leave walking an 18 minute mile on the indoor track. For my outstanding care over 6 months my family and I are eternally grateful to the “Hospital that would not quit!!!!” Sincerely Tom Brown

My brother-in-law Robert Hughey had a 3 bypass operation, for a70 year old he is doing very well. It was two days after the operation before my visit. From the time I drove in the parking lot , this 86 year old was in AH. Being my first visit to Baylor I was lost when I open the entry door. The entrance desk lady put me at ease with simple directions. This was unbeliveable its Sunday I never expect very personal people working. This was only the beginning . The care by all your people from trash clean up to RN s was un beliveable . The room so clean, floor to celing I was VP of Vechicle Maint.for a major freight line for many years.. My Goal was clean shops, tools and happy people Dang you made me look bad Just saying THANK YOU is so inadequate but, it will have to do. THE DOCTOR I did not meet What do I say. Only I am doing ever thing I can to get the Federal Goverment out of your business so you can be rightfully paid for your value. Ray Farmer

I was airlifted to this place Friday 6/30/17 from Lake Pointe in Rowlett (please dont go there). I talked to 8 different doctors an 12 nurses. Mind you Im aware its a "holiday weekend". A doctor told me We have to get your Blood pressure under control you WILL BE out of here by Monday July 2nd. Okay its July 5th. Between the 30th and now Ive spoken with 10 more doctors/speacialist, 6 nurse practitioners, 10 RNs, & 2 CNAs. I still have not seen the doctors from Friday. Everyone Ive talked to has told me something different. My main problem with this place is the lack of communication amongst staff. I dont like being lied to or deceived. If everyone is on vacation fine just say that. I should have a choice if I want to leave or not. I feel trapped here. This may sound crazy but I also feel like they are stretching this whole thing out. This is the hospital version of a Car Dealership!!! I give the RNs a 5 star. They were great especially Tam and Justine.
