Ive had three procedures done here because my back doctor is one of the physicians of this "physician owned hospital". The first was a back surgery for a lumbar disc replacement. They precertified me as an in-patient copay cost of $175/night for the hospital cost plus $100/doctor on my procure (three total doctors for this procedure, including the anaesthesiologist). I was there for one night, so I expected my final bill to be around $500. Two months later I received a bill for $5,500. After three weeks of battling the billing department and my doctors office, the CEO of the hospital ended up calling to and wiping my balance clean because they felt they mislead me. I was going to get an MRI done at this facility because thats where my doctor referred me (again, because they have ownership stake in the hospital). The billing department called to give me my precertification...$700! I had an MRI done two months earlier for me at a difference facility and my bill was $125. THC said it was because they were classified as hospital instead of an imaging center. Needless to say, I got my MRI done elsewhere for $125. My second procedure was a cortisone injection in September 2015. They precertified me this time for around $700. Seemed high, but ok. When I received the final bill after my $100 copay the day of service, it was $200. However, they tried to charge me for sedation when I never had sedation. Its now February 2016 and they still havent figured out my correct balance. The latest debacle was early January 2016 for another cortisone injection. A week before the my procedure, they called to precertify me again, claiming it would be $700. I told them their estimate is wrong, but whatever, Ill deal with it the day of procedure. Day of the procedure and they again try to get me to pay the full $700 precertification amount. I told them Im not paying that because theyve been wrong every time they precertify me, so Ill wait for the final bill after it goes through insurance. I paid the minimum $175 the day of the procedure. Funny thing is that my final bill came after insurance processed the claim. I owed a whopping $68. Long story short, the billing department on this facility is a joke. They dont know what theyre doing and they mislead and try to over charge you for everything. The worst part is theyre all rude about it, basically saying sorry, it is what it is. They are the main reason why Im going to find a new doctor and I will do my best to never go to another physician owed hospital.

I had an open back surgery on Thursday October 3, 2013. Pre op was clean and the nurses, my surgeon and his fellow surgeons, and my anesthesiologist were all great and talked me through every step up to my surgery. I was then admitted to my room and it felt as though I had 1 on 1 with my nurses. I never had to wait more then a couple of minutes for them to respond to my needs. It was anticipated that I would get released sometime the following day or the next. I was unable to get released so even though the whole facility is normally shut down on Sundays they called in the proper staff to care for me. I was the only patient left there. Unfortunately my body decided to form a blood clot that spanned from my sacrum up to my L1 which resulted in severe compression of my spinal cord resulting in Causa Equina Syndrome, which is considered a medical emergency and requires emergency surgery. This has to be caught within 72 hours or it can cause permanent paralysis. Thankfully the staff caught that Sunday just a few hours before the 72 hour timeframe. They called in a radiologist to perform an emergency MRI. The radiologist saw the clot and called in my surgeon and 3 other fellow surgeons to perform my emergency surgery that day. All of this was done just for me with no hesitations from any of the staff called in to work on a day that the facility was supposed to be shut down. They fixed the cc6 problem and I remained inpatient until the following Wednesday. Also I have to mention that my room was more like a hotel room then a hospital room. The food is excellent. I was able to order whatever I wanted and it was more like food from a high end restaurant then hospital or even fast food. If you have the availibilty to receive your surgery and aftercare here I highly recommend that you do so.

I have to come on here just to express such deep gratitude to the people that took care of me yesterday here. I had surgery done here yesterday and it was by far the best service and care Ive ever experienced for anything. From the moment you walk in, they service is attentive and theres no wait time whatsoever. They are quick and efficient but most importantly very caring. Every nurse took care of me down to the T. They were so kind to even take care of my husband and feed him well without him asking, which is nothing we expected. The nurses took care of me so well down to when I would cough and they would immediately explain why I was experiencing the cough and dry throat. If I experienced any discomfort, they were quick to take care of it. I have never been so taken care of the way these guys took care of me. To the entire staff at the surgery center, to the administration, to both doctors, and to the nurses... thank you so much for taking care of me the way you did. My husband and I are beyond thankful for the service and care you provided. It was by far the most top notch service weve received anywhere. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Truly a well organized and professional group of people. I was amazed at the level of expertise and competence I experienced this past Monday (12/28/15) when I had my colonoscopy. I definitely was in good hands! Paul Alexander Plano TX
