I had my first visit to Pearl Dentistry Reimagined (150 N College St #1100 Charlotte, NC 28202) on August 15, 2016 and like many reviewers have said, had a fantastic visit. The staff was very attentive, the dentist explained everything in detail at a level I could actually understand, and yes, you can watch Netflix with Beats headphones while they’re working on your teeth. Based on that experience, and based on the fact that I needed a regular dentist in Charlotte, I decided to stay with Pearl and book my next appointment for February 22, 2017. What baffles my mind is why Pearl would give up my appointment. I received an e-mail from Pattiegene, a staff member at Pearl, telling me “we did not hear from you to confirm these appointments until after hours so we did not know if you were coming to this appointment.” Hello! Do airlines (which you also book months in advance) ask you to confirm your reservations? NO! They assume you’re coming and if you haven’t arrived on the DAY OF the flight, then and only then do they open your seat for stand-by passengers. In the same way, on the day of my appointment and not a day earlier, should Pearl have given my appointment away for a walk-in customer. Luckily, Pearl has decided to keep me on for an appointment later today, but it throws my entire busy schedule off (Thanks Pearl!) After this appointment, I’ll ask for a copy of my dental records and take my business elsewhere. Would I recommend Pearl to others? No, because giving away your appointment isn’t good business. It just shows you that you’re just a source of income to them and Pearl is eager to keep seats filled. Oh also, I realize that Pearl has near perfect 5/5 reviews almost everywhere, but I know for a fact that if there’s a bad review, Pearl will contact you to do what they can to have you change your review into a 5/5 review. I know this because my fiancé had a less than 5/5 experience from Pearl and Pearl asked her to change it. I don’t plan to change my opinion on this review, so Pearl, don’t even try. I got a 2/5 experience from you all: a 5/5 for a first time experience, but -3 for giving my appointment away when I made no indication whatsoever that I would not show up (it’s been on my calendar since August 2016).

I just want to make sure everyone sees the most important part of this review front and center... You get to watch Netflix with Beats headphones during your ENTIRE dental appointment. Pearl Dentistry is reinventing the way people will view dentist appointments and I couldnt have been impressed with my entire experience - from scheduling the appointment to my free annual teeth whitening. Jessica greeted me as I walked in and was very sociable, friendly, and answered every question about my insurance and what was/was not covered. My hygienist was very conversational and explained everything clearly. Dr. Gandhi was very efficient and gave me some great pointers on how to ensure my teeth stay healthy long-term. The amenities are unlike anything Ive seen in a dentist/doctors office. The decor is very modern with a big screen TV in the waiting area along with very comfortable couches and chairs. As I said up above, as soon as you sit down in the dentist chair, you can select any Netflix show and listen to it on your Beats by Dre headphones. There are two TVs in each patient room - one on the wall for when your chair is upright and one on the ceiling for when they lean the chair back to start working on your teeth. After your visit, you can schedule your annual free teeth whitening appointment. If only dentist offices like this existed when I was a kid, I think just about everyone would look forward to going to the dentist.

I had the pleasure of going to Pearl Dentistry for the first time just yesterday. I must say it was a pleasant experience and I am looking to make this my permanent home. I was referred by another Dr. and I must say they did not disappoint. Carolyn wrote me back immediately from my online inquiry. She even gave me multiple options for my appointment time so that I could select what worked best for me. My experience was amazing in the office from start to finish. Carolyn told me a little about the space, took my x-rays, and allowed me to watch Netflix the entire time, which helped with any dentist visit anxiety for sure. Jen, my hygienist, was gentle and friendly as well. Dr. Gandhi was informative and helped me to gauge my over all plan of care without overwhelming me. Asking me first how I would like it? All at once or over a certain time frame. I appreciated that, as we know dental care can be expensive. My overall experience was great and I would recommend anyone to this office. I am looking forward to beginning my journey to a healthy smile here at Pearl.

I can honestly say that this was the first time I actually enjoyed going to the dentist. The office has the feel of a spa, and the amenities of a pretty well equipped man cave. While I had my x-rays done, during idle time, or even during my cleaning I was free to watch Netflix via ROKU with Beats headphones and a remote to change programming. The cherry on top of all this was the second tv mounted above you so you could continue to watch your Netflix with an unobstructed view. Amenities aside, the actual dental portion of the afternoon was just as enjoyable. Dr. Jenny is very personable, and a pleasure to converse with - a far cry from my dentists of the past, who couldnt get in and out fast enough. She is also great at what she does; after my cleaning neither my mouth, nor my gums felt any pain at all, and she took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on in my mouth with images on the big screen. I would certainly recommend Pearl to anyone looking for a great dentist, and a great overall experience.

This was my first dentist appointment in over a year and since moving to Charlotte. I primarily chose Pearl because it is so close to where I work, but I will be returning for so many more reasons than that. First, Patti at the front desk really helped me out by letting me move around my appointment to accommodate my work schedule - it may have been because of a cancellation, but either way she really worked with me which I appreciated so much. The whole office is very nice, not your typical dentists office look. All the finishes were very high end, and the customer service totally went hand-in-hand. During my actual appointment things went very smoothly, I was in and out fairly quickly considering it was my first appointment and they needed to get x-rays in addition to the cleaning. All the staff I had the pleasure of meeting/working on my teeth were great as well. I know I will be back, and Ive already recommended it to a friend looking for a dentist! Id recommend Pearl to any one.

I received a flyer in the mail literally 3 days ago and I just happened to be looking for a new dentist. Called 2 days ago, and had the appointment today! Awesome: -Paper work was a breeze (do it online) -Extremely nice and personable staff -Music is definitely something that is unique to Pearl. Its not boring elevator music, but upbeat lifting music. I felt like it helped create a better atmosphere, and kept the staff engaged...especially on a Monday...who doesnt like awesome music on a Monday morning?! -2 TVs in the operating room where you can stream via a roku -Felt clean, and professional Neutral: -plan to leave a little early if you drive so you can navigate the parking garage (Pearl will pay for your parking, which was awesome) -The appointment took longer than I had expected, 2 hours for xrays and a cleaning..but It didnt feel like 2 hours...felt more like an hour. So far Ive had a filling, and cleaning.
