More like 3.5. Overall, I was satisfied with my proceedure. I had little pain, it was fast and I was kept comforted by my dentist through the whole thing. The staff at the front desk were incredibly sweet and thorough and even let me know that the Harris Teeter across the street didnt have a pharmacy(I dont go to that area often so it was extremely helpful.) However, the dental assistant I had was far from nice. She rushed me in, rushed me to take my body jewelry out and when I dropped an important piece to one of my rings she rushed me along to find it then finally not allowing me to search. She became frustrated with me when I wouldnt line up with their x-ray machine because of my scoliosis, and the fact that I moved when she came back in the room without telling me we werent done with the x-ray. When we were done with the x-ray she proceeds to lecture me on how I wasted 20 minutes looking for my property, how its all walk-in basis(which I understand to the fullest) and how I need to be quicker in the future so I am not holding up their(probably more like her)day. After the procedure was finished I attempted to go to the room I was originally in(I was moved because the chair I was in was falling apart)to find my body jewelry but was stopped by the same woman to go ahead and pay, not giving me a moment to explain how expensive my jewlery actually was and why I really needed to find it. I finally had to accept that the piece of body jewelry I had bought for $30 was gone and if I hadnt been rushed I wouldnt have dropped it in the first place. Aside from the dental assistant being a little less than polite and the chair I was in falling apart I was satisfied with the service provided. If you get Yu as your dentist and the cute blonde lady at the desk, youre in luck.

Ok so I am a 6 foot 314 pounds man. I had to say that before I give my review. So I am SUPER afraid of Doctors,dentists,etc. so last week I began to get a toothache. I have never been in more PAIN in my life. I like alot of people didnt sign up for my insurance with my company because I like the rest of the superheros am invincible and never have any issues but this pain was too much. I came in with my girl and met Damon Grant on my first visit. He knew I was nervous but he did my x ray while talking to me about cars which calmed me down and before you know it Doctor Elliot Burns came in to give me the news. He said its best to take it out! Well me being scared I actually said "well I dont have the money today so I could get my fear under control" I had the money was just scared .They scheduled me for thursday 8am 3/27/204 so like everybody when I went home and back at work I googled,youtubed and facebooked TOOTH EXTRACTIONS.OMG I took the fear to another level. Anyway Thursday came fast. When I came in my family stayed in the lobby chatting with the awesome Marianne Vanwarmer she signed me in and we joked around a little she is super cool plus she drives a Nissan Juke! So it was my time to go in the back! Damon Grant brought me back to prep me then Doctor Elliot Burns came in to numb me up! Folks when I tell you these dudes were laughing and tripping while pulling the tooth EXACTLY what I needed. Now folks my tooth was pulled at around 9:30am Its 11:48am and Im writing this review from my dealership. I love CHARLOTTE EMEMRGENCY DENTAL man! In the words of pharrell williams " im happy "!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank God for this office! After having numerous extractions done by another dentist during the week I found myself in excruciating pain waking up Saturday morning. Of course my dentist office was closed so Id not get any help until Monday, which there was no way I could wait. I called 1-800-Dentist and was given number for some other offices that were just as useless as my own at that point. I was literally on my way to the local emergency room when I came across Charlotte Emergency Dental on google. I called and was told to head right over, so I did. The front desk girl was extremely efficient getting me entered as a new patient and I was in the chair to see the Dr right away. The dental assistant was very nice and then came Dr. Wright! I have never met such a nicer dentist in my LIFE (this coming from someone with a 20 year dental career). Not only was his chair-side manner outstanding he was informative and extremely gentle when examining my recently tortured mouth. Dr. Wright was an angel and was able to get through the weekend of hell I was facing. Ive since referred numerous people to this office - the prices were phenomenal, especially for an emergency WEEKEND appointment, the staff is outstanding and the office is truly one of the cleanest Ive ever seen. I wish I would have found Dr. Wright before visiting previous dentist as I would have had him do my complete treatment plan! 5 Stars isnt enough for this entire office!!

Went today for an abscess on my tooth. I already have anxiety when it comes to doctors but my abscess was rather large so I just knew I had to do something about it today. It didnt take long at all to get in & the dental assistant was very helpful. Only reason I give 2 stars. Besides that I paid $100 for an exam that took 10 minutes. & when told that I had an infection I was told I needed a root canal that very same day. When I told the Dr. I physically did not had another $250 today for a root canal, he preceded to told me that Im ignoring the problem & that the infection is going to go to my brain or heart. By that point I was already visibly upset & Dr Yu kept going until I asked for a minute to gather my composure. I have really bad anxiety & this Dr had no compassion for me. Luckily the dental assistant was nice enough to come in, give me water & calm me down. Needless to say I will be getting a root canal somewhere else... where I am more cared for. Bad bad bad experience, ruined my day

BEWARE of these HELLBOUND, LYING BLOOD SUCKERS! I was told over the phone that the x-rays would be $70. After driving almost an hour I was charged $80 in person. I shouldve ran at this point. She then assured me that their prices were lower than the norm. That too was a lie! I paid $330 just to get a tooth pulled. They use your emergency situation to get over on you. Plus, they gave me the impression that after paying for the x-rays up front ($80) I would be billed for the rest ($250). I had to pay the rest on a credit card before leaving and they charged the card 3 times! I live almost an hour away and they brushed me off when I told them that I couldnt get my prescription for pain pills filled because they left off the instructions. They obviously, could care less and did nothing to try to help me. She had a smart mouth on top of it all. Worst experience of my life. They should have an option for ZERO stars. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND RUN!
