The care is amazing and everyone is genuinely interested in the well being of your sweet animal. Weve been coming here for over 5 years because it came highly recommended by a friend. Our cat was diagnosed with a horrible heart condition and it was caught quickly. His was a bad case and he passed away shortly after but they did all they could for him. Shortly after he died I received not only a personal phone call from our vet expressing his condolences but also a hand written, thoughtful letter. I feel like their prices are fair--having an animal isnt cheap when you want good care. Weve loved our experience here and will continue to be loyal clients! We love all the vets there and the staff has never been anything but amazing!

The Best Care. We have used a few other closer vets but drive over 25 minutes to go to Brook Run Animal Clinic with our two dogs. Everyone is very nice but owner Dr. Zuccaro is a special person. He is compassionate, thorough and has a great bedside manner (for the pet too). When our oldest dog was sick and dying Dr. Z got down and did his diagnosis with her on the floor rather than subject her to lifting to the table. When she passed away we got a card from Dr.Z that made us cry. He does a lot of pro bono work with the local shelters. Here is a vet that is truly passionate about his work and patients.

Only good things to say about this practice. They go the extra mile for patients and their humans. I have two special needs cats (diabetic and heart disease) and Dr. Z has been very patient with us all through adjustments in meds and testing. They even changed their insulin provider when the costs skyrocketed so they wouldnt have to charge us that inflated price. All the staff (from the front desk to the vet assistants) know me and the two cats by name. Its like a walking into Cheers but for pets. I feel like they are fair and compassionate. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Established pet clinic (has been around for decades) on the Northside, close to intersection of Brook Rd. and Lakeside Ave. Customer area is clean and bright. Includes: Cremation service available (which I have used twice). Drawback: Vet staffing may be limited during holiday times. You may need to go elsewhere if you have an ailing pet (which I encountered in late Dec.). Advice: Have another trusted pet clinic that you can contact, in case this happens.

Wonderful with animals! I have 2 cats and a dog and have been going to this vet for over 4 years now. I have had nothing but good experiences here. Everyone is so friendly and they always take the time to answer any questions. I have never had trouble scheduling an appointment and my animals have always been treated well. Highly recommend anyone in the Richmond area who needs a vet to check them out!

We have a special breed, true hairless Chinese Crested and he has special needs for his dental care, etc. We have going to this vet for the entire time we have had Joe-about 7yrs and they have been wonderful. Had his teeth cleaned and some extracted and they have treated him like we do- another member of our family. Their office has always treated us courteously and with great respect.

This office is awesome. The staff treats everyone with respect and is always gentle with the animals. I work with a rescue and we bring our animals here and I even changed to bring my own dog to Brook Run because of the service and respect I have been shown on my visits. They are knowledgeable about all types of animals and I highly recommend them to friends of mine.

Just a simple phone call tells me I wouldnt take my cat here. Looking for a place I can take him if I can, called them up and lady I talked to was just real short and sour about it; especially when I told her we werent members. I wouldnt even think of taking him here after the treatment I got over the phone. Totally unsympathetic.

The entire staff of the clinic are very caring and compassionate. I have been taking my animals there for over 15 years. Dr. Zucarro is very patient and thorough with his treatment and with answering all of my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this clinic to all pet owners.
