I was super disappointed with Shamrock. Our first visit was with our 2 pets. One pet being a senior dog (11 years old) and our other was an 8 week old kitten. The staff cooed and awed over our kitten (understandably) but showed little to no attention to our senior dog who actually had a lump on her back that I was concerned about. They were not helpful what-so-ever with explaining what the lump could be, what we should watch for, or any advice. I left their office at the first initial visit with just a bad feeling in my stomach. I then wrote them to tell them my disappointment with our first visit. Their office manager called me and she was very helpful but I can say she was the only staff member that we came across that I was not disappointed with. I had to ask to see a different Dr. and bring our dog back in to get them to actually take a better look at the lump. Our 2nd visit with our senior dog wasnt much better. Needless to say, we found a different vet to take our pets to that have shown us much better care.

I feel the care my pets get from here is pretty high quality. The staff all seem to know what theyre doing and for this reason we have used them for years. Same day appointments have never been a problem when weve needed them in the past. The last few visits Ive had to wait for quite a while to have my pets seen once we were in the office. 1 of them was over 45 minutes of waiting. The part that took my review down from a 5 star down to a 3 is what I feel is high pressure sales tactics to get more services done. Vet visits are already not cheap, but it seems like every time I take my cats in there is something extra they want to do. My cats are both 13 now, and as much as I want them to be healthy and live forever, I also dont want to sink hundreds of dollars into some tests that might not show me anything when the cats seem fine.

I was charged thousands of dollars for something that should have cost maybe $500. I was told that my bill wouldnt be over $2500 (it was) and it might be around that if my cat needed surgery. My cat didnt have surgery. He riped out his catheter. So I was charged 7 times for them to redo it. A terrified cat clearly is going to rip out what isnt supposed to be there. He has been to our new vet for the same issue and we were charged once for the catheter. Its disgusting people like this rip off other humans because they love their pets. Everyday I was told it wont be more than $2500 with the surgery. My fiancé now works at a vet clinic. We asked if this seemed normal and they were shocked. Charging people 5x what they should is messed up. But they know theyll get it because people love their pets.

Everyone has been so kind and caring, with super kudos to Dr. Matzek. It has been a trying time determining what is wrong with our Sheltie girl, but Dr. Matzek would not give up until she was certain we had the exact diagnosis. The result is a manageable condition treated by OTC meds which are very reasonable priced. Equally important to me is how much she obviously cares about her patients (and their families), with lots of puppy hugs, reassurances and all the patience in the world to take phone calls and questions. We had to find a new vet several years ago and didnt imagine we would find an equal replacement for our previous doctor, but we struck gold and are more than happy!!

The staff was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my two cats in for regular checkups and, despite the scratching, screaming, and hissing, the staff all had smiles on their faces throughout the visit. The doctor was very informative and made sure to tell me all relevant information about my pets. She explained all of the processes she went through with my cats and answered all questions happily. The best part was, my very anxious kitty was totally relaxed because they had a Feliway diffuser in the exam room! It was wonderful! I kept comparing this experience to all of my other vet experiences and this one totally blew all other clinics out of the water.

We recused a 4 month old yellow lab mix with very little human contact from Marshall, MN. He was living in -20° and had dug himself a hole in the snow by a tree. Shamrock Animal Hospital is where we bring all of our small animals. They recognized that I hand my hands full but were so helpful in training, diet and treating him after living outdoors. Today, at the age of 5, Im proud to say that he is my Service Dog and taking care of me

Terrible customer service. They seldom follow through with calling you back when they say they will. My husband and I have to call to follow up with them. The costs they charge for exams and medicine for a cat is outrageous. This week we were charged $280 (exam and test)$46 (pills) and now $90( liquid meds). Its not uncommon for us to spend at least $500 by the time we are done with cat vet visits. We will be looking for a new vet.

Upon moving to the area in 2009, I visited many veterinary clinics before settling on Shamrock Animal Hospital as my go to clinic. I find the veterinarians and staff to be personable, professional, and knowledgeable, but most important to me is their knowledge of giant breed dogs. Additionally, I volunteer for a rescue which actively monitors costs, and Shamrock is one of the most reasonably priced clinics in the area.

I absolutely love this veterinary clinic, Shamrock Animal Hospital! I bring my two (10 yr old) kitties to see Dr. Lauren Bury, DVM, and she provides excellent care! I know the lives of my two kitties have been extended due to her care and concern. I highly recommend Shamrock Animal Hospital. Im a Registered Nurse (for humans) and I recognize quality health care when I see it!

I worked here for a short time and continue to bring my animals to Dr.Bury. My dog hates the vet until I started bringing him here, they give him treats and handle him with care. Dr.Bury is his favorite! After working there I can honestly say they have your pets best interest in mind and provide the highest quality care. I would be uncomfortable going anywhere else!

They slime s a consult with us free of charge. We have a special needs cat, and they sat with us and listened to our crazy talk without any outward judgement. We will be taking out babies here, they left us feeling like they actually cared about our animals.

I brought my cat in to be euthanized two weeks ago. The doctor and staff were exceptional. Very caring. It was a sad, but peaceful experience. I have used this clinic for 25 years...neither my animals nor I have had a bad experience.
