Prices are extraordinarily high and staff push unnecessary services to increase revenue. My moms dog had allergies that was eventually solved with Benadryl. She didnt make that discovery until spending several thousand at Scenic Hills under the advice of their staff. And it wasnt even Scenic Hills that suggested the low cost solution, it was another dog owner. My mom bought the pet insurance Scenic Hills offers and two months into it had to give up the dog because my mom got very, very sick. Her dog had been in once for his annual visit which included the typical blood work. I called to cancel the policy and discovered his one visit was $400. They explained without the pet insurance, she loses the discount. In comparison, my vet (which I also believe is pricey) charges about $500 for my two dogs, one of which is geriatric, for their annual visit. This vet totally takes advantage of pet owners. Steer clear.

I have been coming here for about 5 years now, as long as Ive had my oldest dog. They have always been great with him even though hes not exactly friendly with strangers. He suffers from seizures and at one point, they even saved his life. We were living paycheck to paycheck at the time and he suffered a looping seizure (basically wasnt recovering before hed had another seizure). They agreed to see him even though we couldnt pay them for a few days and treated him. The fact that they were willing to do that won my forever patronage, even though I now live in Rosemount. The vet has changed since then but theyve always treated my animals exactly the same....wonderfully. Thanks for everything!

For my husband and I, our pug is our child (yes, were those pet owners). When we moved to St Paul, I chose this vet mostly due to proximity (this was before online reviews were so abundant). Hes a rescue, so hes super sensitive to new people, to his paws being handled, and just a little skittish in general. Over the years, weve luckily only needed to come here for shots. Theyre a little rough with him, and I can sense their exasperation when he wont relax or freaks out when he has to be on the table. It was distressing enough to him (and to us!) that we started taking him back to his old vet, where we used to live, about a 40 minute drive away.

I just adopted a 4 year old breeder release dog and had my first appointment with the staff at Scenic Hills yesterday. I had some medical information from the previous owner, and they saw some omissions/problems with the records and spent time to call the previous vet to get all the info we needed to make some decisions on immunizations and other treatments my little guy will need. I never felt rushed and we have a great treatment plan going forward. I was very satisfied with their willingness to get as much information for me so we could make the best decisions possible. The entire staff was very helpful and welcoming.

This hospital had decent service and a friendly staff. However, they nickel and dimed us to death! We continuously got charged for things like a check up for a previous issue where there was no continuing problem when we were taking him in for his neutering. They also don’t tell you how much you have racked up until you get to the desk to pay. In doing this, they get you to buy inflated priced things like ear cleaner, etc. We had seen numerous vets because of all the issues we have gone though and some were good but others were not so much. We were so fed up with paying ridiculous charges that we changed vets.

I have been taking my pets to Scenic Hills since around 2000, and I am very pleased with the new veterinarians and new management. The Paw Plans have been really helpful in budgeting for my pets medical care. But most importantly, the vets and staff are wonderful and obviously care about animals. I lost my 17-year-old cat about 2 weeks ago, and Dr. McCarl couldnt have been more caring and sympathetic, helping both me and Cosette through her final week. To be honest, a couple of years ago I was considering finding a different clinic, but Im glad I stayed!

This has been the veterinary hospital of choice for many years by my family. Have always found the staff friendly and professional and caring. Clinical staff have always shown concern for our pets and have been thorough in explaining what tests are to be performed and why. Explanations of any findings and treatment recommendations have been thorough, including taking the time answer questions and clarify when needed. I trust the care of my companion with them.

I have brought my 2 small dogs to Scenic Hills for over a year now. I choose to drive from Woodbury because the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Plus, I never walk out with complete sticker shock from the bill like I did when leaving a Woodbury vet office. I also appreciate that the Vets are very current on their studies and looking for the latest solutions for any challenges my dogs may have.

We have been going here for 2 years...we now moved to Cottage Grove but will not change vets! The Doctors and staff are Awesome! They take the time to answer your questions, give you follow up calls to make sure your pet is doing okay. They help us process our VPI insurance. Give them a try, let them prove it to you.

Both my cat and dog are patient here. The staff is great! My cat is not very friendly when it comes to being manhandled but the vet and staff here are great with him. You can tell they all love their jobs and it makes for a great experience!

Overall this place has been great. The PAW plan (yearly plan) made sense for one cat but not the other, so there was a bit more expense than you might find at other vets if you shop around, but they are prompt, clean, and friendly.
