I was very disappointed with the way I was treated as a patient at the Lawrence office. The wait time was a lot longer than my scheduled appointment for a blepharoplasty which included a consultation with Dr. Lee. Prior to my visit I called the office and requested an estimated cost for the consultation and it took three days and three different people to give me an answer that turned out to be incorrect. The consultation was not $150.00 but was $315.00 and to top it off they charged me $175.00 more for a visual exam that I had done at my ophthalmologist office two weeks prior to this consultation. I was never asked if I had my eyes examined before this appointment. Had I known that the consultation included an eye exam I would have had my ophthalmologist send my records to the Boston Eye Group. I also explained to the doctor and the office staff that my insurance would not pay for any of the surgery or consultations. They assured me that they had 100% insurance payments if it was for a medical condition which mine turned out to be . When I received a bill in the amount of $856.00 which also included an eye exam treatment for $366.00 I was shocked. I brought the bill to the surgical coordinator and explained that I was very disappointed with their process and they told me there was nothing they could do about the charges. Needless to say I wont be having any surgery done by the Boston Eye Group. ThankYou

First things first, the surgical team, and staff are tremendous. I felt comfortable and safe with all of the procedures that were happening with me, and when someone is cutting a flap in your eye and then shooting lasers into it, that is all you can ask for. The waiting room is comfortable, and has some fantastic music (old school Sinatra and Dean martin and all that, personal favorites here). The reason that I cant give it a 5 star review is the wait time. I have a feeling there were some extenuating circumstances that caused some delays in their processing of surgical patients on the day that I was treated with LASIK surgery. What is a typical 2-3 hour wait turned into a 5.5 hour wait. Even still, I would hands down trust Dr. Melki and Dr. Raja in treating my eyes again, and even with that wait the decision to get LASIK from the team at Boston Laser was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Their slogan, "If its LASIK, its Boston Laser" could not be more true, and if you want to be seeing perfectly after ten minutes of surgery, I would highly recommend seeing the professionals of Boston Laser!
