What a waste! Went to AFC Urgent Care in Methuen; "no Dr. On duty right now" & not for another 2 hrs. Referred to their other clinic 6 mi. away. The other clinic could not verify my insurance (federally funded, Oregon Health office not open yet). When I did see the Dr., after a brief exam, said the rapid strep test was neg, no evidence of sinusitis or ear infection, recommended saline nasal sprays, salt water gargles, motrin & tylenol (all of which I was already doing). She also gave me a Rx for a cough medication even though I said I was not coughing & even if I had to, my throat hurt too much to cough or swallow; no solid food in 2 days, my not infected ears kept me awake all night & my 102 temp was better than it had been. Then the aide came in with 2 ibuprofen & water. I repeated Id not eaten & the ibuprofen would make me nauseous. She asked if I wanted any "fishies". Tried to verify I had actually seen a Dr but no clinician was listed on the after visit summary. Called & got a recording. So: no reason found for fever, OTC remedies for discomort, Rx for a symptom I did not have, & the real kicker: when I got home, 45 minutes later, I glanced in the mirror & saw my eye was very red & weepy. How could they have missed it! It had felt irritated the day before but Id attributed that to sinus pressure, allergens, etc. Not Conjunctivitis - again. In all my years of nursing, I would not have wanted any staff from this clinic on my team no matter how short staffed we were. And what kind of Urgent Care Center does not have a clinician on duty during open hours???!!! Avoid this facility like the plague - or you may catch it there.

I visited this facility this past Sunday and was impressed with the service, as per usual. Each time Ive visited Ive had the pleasure of being seen by Dr Matos and his assistant, Anthony. They make it a great and welcoming environment from the moment you are called in. I dont visit any other medical facilities where the medical assistant introduces himself, offers snacks and water, and doesnt just want to check your vitals and run out of the exam room. Then comes Dr Matos, who really listens and educates you; A very personable doctor. I have never been disappointed and wouldnt think twice about going back!!

First experience I came in with an ear infection that I knew it was an infection, just needed the meds. I told the doctor that I knew I had it and he proceeded to tell me that he did not have enough "information" to look in my ear. He did not believe me and I felt completely ignored. Second experience my sister and I came in on a Sunday at 3:30 and waited for over an hour and a half before she was even seen by the doctor. Though another patient was rude and complained and got to be seen before everyone else just so she wouldnt have to be dealt with. I am extremely disappointed with many attributes to this location.

I was very disappointed in the experience I had with urgent care in methuen. My brother had a deep cut on his face and we were driving to urgent care. It closed at 7:30 we got there at 7:15 and it was closed. We called on the way there and they didnt answer I guess they left early. I was very disgusted that they would leave that early knowing that people could come in. This is not a profession were you should be able to close early its like saying our open all the time but shut down for the weekends. I thought urgent care was for emergencys but how can you save people if your not even there.

The office staff was very understanding. I filled out minor paperwork and showed my insurance. I was seen within minutes. The P.A., was friendly, direct and extremely helpful in explaining my pain. She prescribed medication and I was advised to continue with pain pills. She was extremely empathetic and calmed me down immediately with her presence. I met the owner, Lisa Williams. She was gracious and gave me a short history of Doctors Express. I would highly recommend the Methuen Doctors Express. A clean, friendly and very efficient office and staff.

It was an hour before I had to be at work and my 7 year old spiked a 103.4 fever. I brought him to AFC urgent care. His dad recommended it. I would have gone to the ER with a 75 dollar Co pay. We were taken right in and the staff was excellent. He was positive for strep and we left with a prescription for antibiotics. I was only a little late to work but can not fathom the alternative of going to thend ER. I was amazed...why has Healthcare not gone to this sooner. Bravo

Business hours on Saturday said open till 5pm. I got there at 4 filled out paperwork and saw the doc in 15 minutes because no one was there. I knew exactly why I was there and what I needed. Doctor proceeded to scold me for not showing up earlier in the day. He was completely unprofessional and rude. I would assume he is being paid to be there until 5pm. No need to berate paying customers for having other stuff to do on their Saturday off from work.

I was sceptable at first, I wasnt sure what to expect walking into an "Urgent Care Clinic". The facility was very clean, for thats always the first thing I look for. The staff and the doctor were pleasant and compassionate. They were easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. The doctor took his time and made sure I understood everything that I needed to know I was in there and out with a 1/2 hour. .. I was so pleased

I came in around 7pm when a cut on my right hand that had been bleeding for about an hour. There were two other people ahead of me. One person went in to be seen and then they took me next since my situation was a little more serious. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I would come back to this Urgent Care location vs other ones Ive been too. It was also very clean and was very comfortable being there. Thank you. Nicole

Clinic is very convenient and easy to get to. People are nice. I was seen quickly. They have lots of hours 7 days a week. My only concern was unlike my regular doctor I did not receive any exit paperwork for care and follow-up. Everything was verbal from the doctor. Doctor was very nice but Im not really 100 per cent sure when I walked out what totally was going on. Otherwise all was good.

Veronica was the receptionist. She was very pleasant, efficient and told me exactly what form I needed to complete. I gave her my ID and insurance card and, within 5 minutes, I was being seen by Dr. Matos. He had a very good bedside manner, took a couple of quick tests (maybe 10 minutes) and concluded with a diagnosis and remedy for my flu symptoms. Good experience!

Having to travel out-of-state for work quite often its great being able to go to a facility like this with such friendly staff to get treated in a very quick manner. Ive had to go three times in the last month alone while traveling and each time its been new front desk staff and a new nurse and I have received the same great service each time. Love seeing Kelly!
