I wont be going back here, but it has nothing to do with the level of care they gave to my teeth. I feel as though they upsold me on additional, perhaps unnecessary, services from the moment I walked in the door with my $69 Valpak coupon for a cleaning + X Rays. They never presented the $69 payment stated on the coupon as an option for me. Instead, they told me that my teeth looked great and that they were in remarkable condition considering I havent been to a dentist in two years. They continued to tell me I needed a two-visit cleaning package that totaled about $400 and they wanted me to buy premium X Rays that cost $99 more. All the while they told me how great my teeth were. I kept telling them I didnt want the premium X Rays, but they kept asking! The initial set of X Rays that supposedly were included in the coupon showed that my teeth and bones were in good shape with the exception of some plaque build up. Hoover Reservoir Dental did get into my wallet. I dont have dental insurance and was lured in by the $69 coupon for a cleaning and X Rays. But I paid $200+ on my first visit. They had me scheduled for a second visit for the second part of my cleaning for about $150 more a month later, which I did not go to. They took enough of my money. I wont be going back for more of their sales tactics. My mouth is important, but so is the coupon I had, which was virtually ignored. (I wouldnt be upset about this and I probably wouldnt have even noticed their upselling skills on additional services and procedures, if I hadnt used a similar Valpak coupon about two years ago at a different dental office in the Columbus area. The other dental office offered X Rays and a cleaning for about $79. And thats exactly how much that place charged me. And for that visit it had been even longer before a dental visit. No upcharging, No upselling. That organization just honored the coupon.) Hoover Reservoir Dental has a very comfortable office setting, and they let you watch whatever TV channel you want during your visit. They are very friendly. The hygienist assigned to me seemed to know what she was doing while she continuously rattled off additional recommended services for additional fees. Again, never once did it seem it was even an option that I would walk out of there paying only $69. I feel lucky that I made it out of the office paying only $200+. It could have been much worse had I caved to their additional X Rays and services. Ill find a different dental office for my next cleaning.

We have been patients of this practice for years. Even though we took off from seeing them for a few years, when we came back (due to a dental emergency) we were welcomed back without any criticism or ‘you known better’ type of finger pointing. They actually said they understood how life gets in the way of seeing the dentist, but never to be ashamed or afraid to come visit. That helped! Katie is the best hygienist. She is very gentle and Dr. D. – he pulled a tooth and I was barely aware that he did anything! Pain free! Yeah!. Very professional office with an excellent view of the reservoir. Do yourself a favor and come visit.

The office staff was not the friendliest. The hygienists and dentist were very professional and seemed knowledgeable, but were very high pressure and intent on selling me a line of credit to have work done. What bothered me most was that I had just been to another dentist 6 months prior, who found no cavities or issues, but when I visited Hoover Reservoir, I suddenly needed 4 crowns (over 5k in dental work). This seems a little suspicious to me, especially given the high pressure sales pitch to get the work done. We are getting a second opinion.

I always get anxious about going to the dentist. My hygienist did everything she could to accommodate my needs and make me more comfortable and relaxed. I appreciate this most of all. The entire staff was helpful and kind. I would highly recommend.
