Dr. Ricksons nurse was always very nice and welcoming. The doctor herself was willing to spend time with me as her patient but her decisions and responses to my medical needs were not very convincing. At times I felt insecure about her recommendations because she never comes across as confident and convincing in what she was suggesting. The practice front staff was horrific. I just received a letter that said "thank you for informing us you are no longer our patient..." I never said this. A few weeks ago the office called to schedule my 6 month follow up. It had not been 24 hours since they left me the voicemail requesting scheduling when I received an email with 2 appointments scheduled without my consent. When I called to cancel the appointments the woman was rude to me and did not understand what the issue was. HELLO I NEVER MADE THOSE APPOINTMENTS...I never said I was no longer their patient I just wanted to schedule my 6 month appointments at my convenience not theirs. So today I got a letter in the mail to my surprise that I had told them so...lol I just want to give warning to anyone considering going to this practice that the physicians and staff are more interested in churning out patients and writing scripts to profit and may not be as interested in patient care as suggested. I was a patient for over 2 years and it was a little unsettling how pushy used car sales people they are about getting you back in MORE MORE MORE.

One of the worst doctors Ive ever seen. She was rude, did not listen, and was terribly condescending. Please dont waste your time and find a better Endocrinologist. Dr. Rickson was the only doctor at this practice who did not have a months long wait list (and for good reason!) My second visit was to review blood tests / lab results. Dr. Rickson partially stepped into the exam room, handed me the lab results, and said "your results looks normal". This was the extent of her consultation and the office collects the co-pay in advance for...a real racket for this doctor considering the TWO MINUTES she spent with me. (They refused to give me the results over the phone) She did not go over the results, did not explain anything, and had zero sympathy and obviously no time to even step into the exam room and close the door like a professional. After asking her some additional questions (it felt like I had to force her to stay another minute) she could not hide her absolute annoyance and flippantly told me to go back to my primary care provider.

Very brusque receptionist. Inflexible at accepting data in ANY FORM other than having me hand-write it in. Grossly incompetent seeming nurse(s). Terrible communication within office. Dr. Rickson timid about treatment, not the least bit knowledgeable about current medical literature, e.g. duodenal bypass studies showing often immediate elimination of type II diabetes symptoms. Scheduling friendly but not competent: In November I was sent a letter stating I had missed two appts in DECEMBER, the following month. Neat trick to prognosticate that... using a time machine? Left message upon letter receipt (since you can NEVER get anybody on phone in that rats-warren phone system of voice-mail boxes) pointing out I still planned to make those not-yet-occurred appointment dates. Response was another letter telling me they would no longer serve me and I should call some social service for other referral (Im on United Healthcare and dont need that, thanks.) AVOID RICKSON - LOW COMPETENCE.

I had an awful experience with this office, staff and getting help. They didnt return calls when requesting information via phone. I also used the new Healow app to get information but the office did not order the required bloodwork as instructed by the doctor. After calling to check to see if they had sent it in, it still was not sent. I called to cancel an appointment but they send you to an answering machine and then do not return your call or cancel the appointment. I had to get several follow-up blood work completed and the levels were still never taken care of. I have been a patient with hypothyroidism for over 10 years and have never had such a poor experience with a doctors office. I do not recommend under any circumstances.

Since seeing dr rickson my A1c has dropped to 6.3 . Her office has been extremely helpful in product and nutrition analysis. I love talking with her staff and learning better ways to keep my diabetes intact. I have also lost 30 pounds since January 2017 by maintaining my calorie intake in and taking the knowledge theyve shared with me and putting it to good use.

Office has nice staff and I loved the Diabetic Educator, but my doctor (Dr. Rickson) wasnt ever happy with my progress and seemed as though she just wanted me to keep coming in for no reason. My sugar levels never got better until I switched to a new Endocrinologist (Im a Type 1 Diabetic).
