After waiting an hour after my appointment time, Im called in to an exam room. The good doctor proceeds to make 2 phone calls while Im sitting around like boo-boo-the-fool. The first was to berate, whom I could only assume was his wife, about how stupid she is and how a woman shouldnt talk to mechanics because they are too dumb to understand. The second was to a woman in a surgeons office who apparently mis-coded another patients insurance paperwork (during which I excused myself to the restroom so as not to be exposed to privileged information). After I returned, and the call finally ended, we proceed with typical first visit formalities. These led to him inspecting my (always) swollen legs and cracking on the fact that I hadnt shaved my legs. (Sorry, not sorry. Id been sick for over a week!) I tell him what I think is wrong with me, to which he immediately dismisses me and proclaims that I have something I obviously dont have, and doesnt even order tests for confirmation. He tells me Im fat, that the mole on my forehead (that hasnt changed in 20 years) needs to be removed immediately, and that hes going to prescribe me medication (for the condition I dont have) even after I told him they would make me sick. He says if they make me sick I should call the office. Fine. Then he asks me about my dietary habits. I explain that I have been trying to make better choices but sometimes its difficult because my husband and I have such different schedules. He then says, "so all he sees of you is your coochie". I managed to get out of the visit without any more offenses. The medicine he gave me (SURPRISE!!!) made me sick, so I called the office. The nurse tells me I need to go to the ER IMMEDIATELY for blood work to rule out another condition (that I knew I didnt have). The emergency staff didnt really get why it was so urgent for me to be there and quickly got test results confirming that I would be fine once I stopped taking the medicine I never needed. Lets just say that Dr. Michael Akpeke is a sexisit, incompetent, jerk. BTW - He never attempted to treat the sinus infection I had, or called to find out how the ER visit went. I called today to cancel my follow-up appointment and informed the office that I would not be returning. Ever.

Dr. Akepke is an outstanding doctor! I was referred by Tricare, if he was not a great doctor, Tricare would not have referred him. The wait time is not long, his entire staff is very professional, friendly, and courteous! Dr. Akepke is a very caring doctor, he cares about your health and well being! I have referred Dr. Akepke to several of my military retiree friends, including my father. Dr. Akepke - continue to be the best doctor around the world, and I have been around the world! Told me I was pretty. Asked if I was married. Offers to do a breast exam. Asked who does it for me if I dont have a boyfriend. Offered breast exam again. Told me I had a pretty smile. Said he would do a breast exam on me but Id probably punch him. I told him he was right. I had to come back because my prescription ran out and I never got a new doctor. Im sitting here for over an hour as of this moment. Yesterday they told me they faxed my prescription to the pharmacy but that was a lie so here I am again. I see my new doctor next month.

He is the greatest Doctor I have ever had & I have had many many many others!! He really cares for his patients, is very through, he has made a big difference in my overall health. He has good bedside manner, and is a good hearted person! I have been in the hospital several times, and all the nurses told me "you are in good hands" and I found out it was soo true!!! the surgeon was going to release me with flaming red incision, and Dr. Akepeke stepped up & said no way this has got to be cleared up first. He is GREAT!

I went for my first visit and waited for about an hour even though I had an appointment. The doctor was very rude!!! I thought I would give him a second chance after the follow up visit 3 months later. Again, I show up before my appointment, still waited an hour and 15 mins later before I got to see the doctor. And he was very rude!!! I finally I told their office manager that I wont be back. No one need to be treated rude when they need healthcare treatment.

Absolutely terrible doctors office. I am at the beginning of my pregnancy along with a fractured ankle. Was told they were giving me a referral to go to an OBGYN and Orthopedic. Three weeks later, still nothing. Left a number a voicemails and called daily with no response or call backs. TriCare then had to call this doctors office and ask them what was going on and was told they never got around to putting a referral in. Switched doctors immediately.

He has always been straight forward with us about the medical plan that is needed....he has a big heart and we love that hes tells us the truth. This is a horrible Doctor. He has no bedside manor. He does break HIPAA laws, he is rude, takes call when he is in the room and I have heard him be very sexually inappropriate with his nurse. He does hospital rounds so he is ALWAYS late. I went two times and both times I waited over two hours. I heard several other patients in the waiting room complaining about the same thing as well.

With the help of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, this Doctor saved my life. He is the best doctor I have ever had. He tells me the truth, not always what I want to hear, but tells me what I need to hear. He continues to push me to strive for greatness. I recommend him to all patients needing a real Doctor to get them results!!!

Visited 3 times and each time either misdiagnosed or didnt know what they were doing. All they want to do is rush you in and out and prescribe medicine. Not to mention Dr. Akpeke is very rude, dismissive and pompous. He lacks communication and talked down to me when I had questions.

BAD doctor. Broke Hippa laws, doent know what he is doing, and told me he could "SMELL" the diagnosis. When he was WAY WAY WAY off. Bad Bad Doctor. Dont go there!
