Some of the people were nice, but a couple acted like they just didnt care. I went in with a broken ankle, after sitting in a room for about an hour, i was given one pill for pain. My ankle was broken and twisted out of place, I put it back in place myself. Then one person came in and wrapped up my foot in a stretch bandage. Another nurse came in and commented about what a terrible wrap job was done, but did nothing about it. Then a doctor came in and commented about what a bad wrap job, but nobody changed it out. The worst part is that I was billed close to $3,000 for this, and after my insurance payed the in network negotiated rate of $2000 dollars, they are now trying to bill me the difference. The billing is done out of state, and they refuse to speak to the insurance company, and the insurance company can not get a hold of them through their telephone lines, they are told call volume is too high, and transferred to voice mail where it is immediately disconnected. Aetna has informed me that I should not be responsible for any more charges because they have paid 100% of their negotiated rate, but Chamizal Emergency Physicians still insist they want the remainder of the balance from me. This is an "in-the-network" hospital too. Its been a huge hassle thus far, and considering the poor service, definately not worth it. I would have been better off going home and waiting to see the specialist, seeing as how there was really nothing done for me anyway and I basically just sat there for a few hours so i could write them a check. Also it took FOREVER to get released, sitting in a locked area with armed guards not letting you out till you got your release forms, we were there forever, the office people were completely bewildered when we asked if we could leave, and what we needed to do. They didnt know who we were, what we were the for, they didnt have any paperwork for us, so we sat there listening to another woman yelling at them because she couldnt leave either. Not a very good first experience with this place.

they dont listen. I went in for a severe asthma attach. this is something that I have dealt with for years. I have cough variant asthma and dont wheeze. Ive had several pulmonary function tests to confirm. I tried explaining the best types of treatments that have worked and instead they completely treated me like I was crazy. they didnt want to hear what I was trying to say. the sedated me and sent me home with anxiety treatments. I came knowing that I needed prednisone and possible breathing treatments that were more extensive than what I could do at home. They absolutely did not listen to me. Ive had some of the top pulminologist in the country but we just moved here. 8 hours later of the crazy medications wearing off, I read through my papers. They didnt take into consideration anything I said. I worked in a top rated medical facility for 10 years. I would never totally disregard a patients rights. I have plenty of information if she would have just listened to the the issue it could have been solved just as quickly. instead. Im still having asthmatic issues because she decided to treat anxiety instead. At the rates things are going Ill be back in the next day or so.. side note: patients infentifier failed. I have no wristband. other side note: basic patient rights allow me to be coordinated in my care. I had zero say that day or during my discharge care. That made me so high on adivan that I dont remember the rest of my day. Im pissed.

Almost 3yrs ago I went into the ER because I felt like I broke my foot. There was a loud snap sound when I fell. The doctor saw me, ordered an xray with one of those mobile xray machines that they brought to me. It wasnt even a minute later, the doctor came in and said it wasnt broke. The way he asked me if I wanted pain meds made me believe he thought I was a drug seeker. It could be possibly because I was a woman covered in tattoos and a facial piercing. He told me there is nothing wrong and I could walk right out of there. I asked for crutches. Because of him saying nothing was wrong, I walked all this time on it, having it swell up constantly and have missed out on having fun with my daughter because I have to spend most of my day sitting. The pain has NEVER decreased. I was too scared to see another doctor because of the doctor at this hospital. I was afraid Id be medically neglected again because of what I look like. A few months ago I started seeing a foot doctor in my new town. From my fall, a piece of bone BROKE OFF and has been roaming around my ankle. There is NO way he could have missed a piece of bone broken off in the xray. Im positive he never even looked at my xray. I also have a hole in my ankle bone, as well as no tissue from walking on it so long...ya know..because "nothings wrong". I have to have surgery in a couple weeks to try to correct it. My ankle will never be the same.

Took my 2 year old to the ER because of a 104 fever. When my wife was describing his symptoms to the doctor, the nurse or nurse assistant had a smurk on her face as if my wife was exaggerating. Doctor didnt run one single test but diagnosed my son with strep throat and prescribed an antibiotic to treat strep throat? Crazy thing is, he didnt have any symptoms except for fever. Two days later, my son was still sick and had a 104.3 temperature. We decided to take him to the Childrens Hospital. They wouldnt let us leave until they found out why he was sick. After a couple of tests they found he had a bladder infection. Doctor at childrens hospital said his throat and ears showed no signs of strep throat plus his test for strep throat was negative. They prescribed a different antibiotic and sure enough his fever went away the next day. Providence is terrible! Sad thing is I always used to like them especially because my dad worked at Providence West for 30 years. Doctors seemed adamant to get rid of us and get on with their day even though there were only a couple of people in the ER and on a weekend. I guess we should have thought twice when we notices the ERwas empty. Obviously people dont go there. I told all my family members and they all responded with "you havent heard that they suck there". Never again, hope it helps

Had my baby here March of 2017. Worst experience!! I called L and D to see if I needed to come in (first time mom) had back contractions not what you normally get and they said to just wait and see my doctor in the morning . Not even 2 hours later I left my house to come to the hospital cause I knew I was in labor. We go up to L and D and was told to put a gown on and she left me in the room for a good 10mins or more. My husband had to go get the nurse. By now I was in a lot of pain. Water broke and then they take me into the delivery room. They get me all set up and I had to wait about a hour to get a epidural. That didnt even work. In the middle of getting it I was starting to push. I had no clue what to do or how to lay NOTHING Im a first time mom. The nurses were NOT any help they didnt even say anything to me other then to stay laid down. My doctor wasnt there yet so they told me to stop pushing . Im pretty sure thats something that you Dont do!! The nurses that delivered my baby were acting very nervous since the doctor wasnt there which made me more nervous. In the end I would not deliver here again . If the L and D team tells you to not come in when your in active labor then doesnt want you to push until the Doctor gets there that should be a red flag to tell you how they operate!!
