The staff were very unorganized. The x-ray machine didn’t work properly. The dental tech was not careful about how she positioned the x-ray device. (I have had many x-rays in my lifetime and none were anywhere near this uncomfortable or painful.) Another tech came in and was going to take pictures before the exam and the two techs began to speak in Spanish and then she left. Then the same tech (who did the x-rays) measured my teeth and gums and while doing so poked holes in my gums until they bled. Then the other tech came back to take pictures (after my mouth was inflamed). When Dr. Martinez came in she said that I had periodontal disease and needed a deep cleaning, fillings, a replacement crown and additional cleanings. (As well as prescribed mouth wash and medication which I never received prior to leaving.) The grand total out of pocket was an estimated $1,200. Dr. Martinez showed me how swollen my gums where and she said that is was the result of periodontal disease. I explained that the tech really went at my gums poking harder than I have ever felt and that when I floss at home I don’t bled. I felt uncomfortable about the whole experience and decided to go for a 2nd opinion back to my old dentist in St. Pete and he said that I needed 3 fillings only. That my crown was fine and that I did not have periodontal disease. My out of pocket would be around $150. When I called to cancel my appointments at Dr. Martinez office they only had one of the two on the books. (Very disorganized!) Many dentists up sell make sure that you get a 2nd opinion or don’t go to this one!

It was a pleasure to meet and have the assistance of your team. Every was very friendly and professional. Dr Martinez was very pleasant to work with. She was thorough in her explanation of the procedures that she recommended and very professional in her presentation of the material. I plan to seek further assistance from the firm in future and look forward to developing a slightly modified plan of care that will address some current most urgent needs. Since my initial visit Dr. Martinez has already helped with a new plan that meets my needs and my budget. A tremendous help !
