My husband and I desperately wanted to find a new dentist. We had seen several over the years and always felt we had to accept that we were not dentally blessed, fillings redone, some bite abnormalities, although I had a bite guard made, my TMJD was still an issue because the guard was ill fitting and uncomfortable so I didnt wear it. We also did not care for the chatty, noisy, distracting environment at our current dentist. I read reviews, asked friends, looked online. I narrowed it to three. One had few reviews but they were stellar though the others had hundreds or thousands. I took a chance because he was convenient from work and home. My husband and I were preparing to retire and wanted to be sure our dental health (knowing poor dental care can impact your overall health) was well taken care of. We are ecstatic with Dr. Micks practice. We love the staff (kind, friendly and personable) the environment (fresh and quiet). I am always greeted personally with a caring voice. I was given a tour of their office (never had that before). Dr. Mick spent 45 minutes on my first consult sharing his philosophies on dental care and making suggestions. He gave me options explaining the differences in cost and effect. My husband and I have had fillings (new and revised), crowns (one of mine recently checked due to cold pain but the tiny cavity hidden beneath went undetected by my former dentist), implants (mine as part of replacement of a bridge attached to dead teeth...teeth with root canals that were not holding up well...I couldnt chew on that side before he removed the bridge and replaced it with two crowns and an implant). Dr. Micks attention is ALWAYS on me. He is not distracted by office chat or a TV or the patient in the next room. The improvements in my bite have reduced flare-ups of TMJD (where my jaw aches or locks). Even though I plan to have one more implant in an open space Ive had for years, Dr. Mick cared so much about me having a GOOD bite guard now he offered to replace it at no cost to me if/when I have that additional work done. He is such a perfectionist he recently scrapped the base of that bite guard and started over because he didnt like the fit. We may not be blessed with perfect teeth, but we are BLESSED WITH A PERFECTLY WONDERFUL DENTIST!

I would reccomend Dr. Mick for any procedure. I received implants for my bottom denture. He answered all my questions and patiently let me consider my options. My surgery was painless. My implants and denture are awesome! He made another appointment in anticipation - just in case I had any discomfort. Ive hand dentures for over 20 years and Dr. Mick has been totally concerned with my satisfaction.They are the most efficient staff I have ever dealt with. My first visit began with a friendly tour of the whole dental office. That was such a new concept I was initially "confused" until I understood I was being welcomed by way of information. Which helped to quiet my fear of dentists in general.

When I moved back to Columbus after living out of state for 15 years, I was not looking forward to finding new doctors - especially a dentist. Luckily, most of my family sees Dr. Mick, so it was not as difficult a decision as I thought it would be. From the front office staff to the dental hygienists, the staff at Mick Family Dental Care are professional and friendly. Dr. Mick is incredibly knowledgeable and has a quirky sense of humor. I hadnt been to the dentist for a few years because I didnt have insurance, so I had some reservations. But Dr. Mick and his staff made me feel comfortable and welcome. I would definitely recommend Dr. Mick to someone looking for a new dentist!

Dr. Mick and his staff are terrific. I started going to him a few years ago with lots of terrible/painful dental experiences in my past. I am happy to report that I am no longer anxious about going to the dentist! Dr. Mick is very calm and reassuring. He explains procedures thoroughly and spends time with patients to answer questions. When I have called him about my children (I have two high energy boys), he calls back almost immediately and fits them in if necessary. His staff is very pleasant and helpful. I live about 30 minutes from the office but am more than happy to make the drive.

Considerate, caring, clean and kind! Dr.Mick is the best dentist ever! The staff was very caring and the office and rooms were very clean! Dr. Mick listened to all my concerns about my dental needs and what I wanted and what I could afford. He adjusted his rates so I could do what I wanted to do concerning my dental needs!
