The first time I went there, I wanted to make sure if they can take my insurance since it was the first time I used the insurance. Since I cannot register on the insurance website (which turns out to be a system problem causing the insurance company does not have my information on that day and fixed it a few days later), I asked them to check if they can find my information with the insurance so that I can get the coverage. They agreed but did not look for my insurance information and have me signed all the paperwork first. I finished and was told to take the eye exam directly. I refused and said they have not checked my insurance information yet, they said they could take care and were pretty sure I would got covered (since I got the coverage information from my employer). Then I went on to take the exam, but after I went out I was told they could not find my insurance information in the system and asked me to pay for the full amount. The other person said she was actually the manager and those people who said they could take care didnt count?? I complained and they finally agreed to write it off reluctantly. The second time I went there after the insurance system got fixed and wanted to give them a second chance. Unfortunately I should not, they were not professional at all and did not take me to the eye exam this time (which is fine with me). But when I got my glasses, turns out the corrected vision for my right eye is much better than left eye which leads to corrected vision not balanced and not comfortable. I will never choose this place.

Check in lady was the least friendly person Ive ever met in customer service. Every time I come in this place Im magically not on record even though Ive been going there for over a decade. The first machine they used on me was broken so I had to sit there forever before moving to the next one. The lady basically mashed my face into the third machine we used in order to get the picture of my eye. The doctor was completely unresponsive and unfriendly also. Told me I dont have astigmatism anymore, and told me I should only need readers (even though readers werent the issue before everything is blurry for me not just close up). I found some nice frames, and they were both ready within 30 minutes, but the lady that gives them to you didnt even offer to adjust them for me. Im sitting here with glasses sliding off my face, with the wrong prescription that doesnt help me in every day use... After going to this very same store for over 10 years I will not be back after I get this prescription thing sorted out. This was a terrible experience.

Absolutely terrible. RUDE, DIRTY, and LAZY. Go somewhere else even if it costs more. One of the doctors is a creep. He also kept coughing into his hands and then touching tools and lenses that were going near or in my eyes. (Absolutely disgusting and inexcusable for someone in the medical field) Needed my contacts within a week in order to take a physical exam. They told me they would rush ship them to have them here within 4 days. Its been 9 days and I am yet to receive my contacts. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! This company does not value their customers, their service is terrible but theyll gladly take your money!

On October 17 2016 I purchased a Ray Ban pair of frames for my granddaughter on which we received a warranty of free spare parts if anything broke within the first 24 months. My granddaughter broke one temple piece and, when I was not successful in contacting Ray-Ban for the part, the store manager refused to help me out by ordering the part on our behalf. An extremely unhelpful attitude and stubborn refusal to be of help beyond offering that we could "purchase a new frame" has left a very bad impression. The one star I gave this outfit is only because I no options to give a thumbs-down!

Awesom, quick efficient and completely thorough.Sedrik was awsome!! Great sales and upgrade techniques were sencire and naturally a fabulous CSR woriking with the clients. I would Highly recommed! Sedrik (sp) as a "10 Star" and I rarely give recommend"s this freely. I wish I took advantage of the job offer 2 years when offered! My experience here has been frustrating. Between the log wait times (when the place was empty), not getting calls back when I was told I would get a follow up call, miscommunication about orders and long waits for my contacts to get delivered, Ive decided to go elsewhere. At least service for the most part has been friendly but the organizational structure and inefficiencies in the end was a huge downside

I was pleasantly surprised by the service and turnaround time here. Im used to slow and super service in all my years of Dr.Bizers/ Visionworks, so imagine my surprise when the staff was polite, happy and there was a greeter at the front door! Facility is clean, there is plenty of parking, and staff are pleasant. Best times to go are weekdays before lunchtime/ the mornings.

I am from South Carolina and here in Louisville KY for only the week of 3/26/to4/3/2016 And this Visionworks was Great to me they went above and beyond service to help me with new pair of glasses so I can drive back home to South Carolina So Many Thanks to all at this Visionworks as we say in the South Yall are find folks . Last year and this year (today) I was amazed at how warm, cooperative and friendly the staff at the state street location were. From the moment I arrived to the minute I left, the front desk, manager and optometrist were a pleasure to deal with. I watched them dealing with other customers and it was the same. Bravo!

Sat for an hour before seeing a doctor. I feel that the doctors should schedule more time per appointment so they arent running an hour behind. They get less appointments per day (aka less cash) but much happier paitents. Wish I would have gone to a smaller location that values their customers.

I dont think I was given the right prescription for my contacts. After about a month, my vision is still blurry and I had to go back at least 4 times in just one month because my contacts havent been working great. Just started using a new brand. Well see if this one works.

The people that work here are really nice. I have been going to this location for the last probably 15 years. Although they have changed their name nothing else has really changed. I really like going to this visionworks and couldnt imagine going anywhere else.

Extremely rude! Gave me the incorrect prescription, refused to give me another exam until my next yearly exam. Next yearly exam, they tell me that I do not have vision insurance when I do. Save yourself and go somewhere else!
