We really want all of our patients to have a positive experience with our office and value all feedback, even if it’s negative. We searched our records and cannot find a patient with initials GAM. Perhaps that’s an alias. It’s difficult to answer specific questions without the background information, but, I can say this. There are many ways to diagnose dental decay. The most obvious is clinical exam. A patient comes in with a painful tooth and odor which suggests an abscess. No mystery there. That’s how dentists originally made a diagnosis. Next, X-ray. This detects dental decay with greater sensitivity than the naked eye. Dentists have been using this tool throughout the 20th Century. Finally, some, such as myself, in addition to the use of visual inspection and radiographic evaluation , use Logicon software, an enhanced method of detecting decay on radiographs. We also incorporate Diagnodent laser detection to detect early dental decay. These devices pick up dental decay with greater sensitivity than X-ray and visual exam alone. We have found it does indeed pick up dental decay allowing for earlier treatment with simpler, less invasive techniques. Most patients appreciate this. We understand that some patients would prefer to wait until decay may become more extensive or is clinically symptomatic. Everyone is different and we respect the autonomy of patients to make the decisions they think best for them. Most patients do prefer solving a problem before it gets bigger. But, not everyone. And some dentists also adopt a wait and watch approach. But, my philosophy is simple. Fix small problems before they become bigger problems. By necessity, that does entail front-loaded expense. But, my goal is to prevent long term problems and sidestep much larger expenses for my patients. I would be delighted if all of our patients had zero cavities. I don’t relish the idea of reconstructing a patient’s teeth if the problem could have been solved with less effort earlier. And prevention is the best tool for accomplishing that. In any event, it was never my intention to disappoint you and for that please accept my apology. I would be happy to speak with you directly about this. Hace 2 semanas lleve a mi madre (84 años) a que el Dr. DeJesus le extrajera una muela. Ella estaba muy nerviosa, pero al ser tan bien tratada por el personal de la clinica enseguida se calmó. La oficina es limpia y agradable, hasta café y galletas tienen para ofrecer al público. A mi mamá le gusto mucho que el Dr, DJesus habla español y es super-atento. El precio fue razonable y tienen un sistema de pago para quienes lo necesiten. Al día siguiente el Dr. llamó para saber como se estaba recuperando mi mamá, lo cual me parecio sumamente cortes y profesional, por lo que ya lo he recomendado a varios de mis amigos.

Ive been a practicing Dental Hygienist for 9 yrs and have worked in many dental Offices with many Orthodontist. I finally decided to get my teeth straightened after working and consulting with Dr. Isaak Yelizar at Dejesus Dental Group. He showed great knowledge and expertise in his profession and obtained my trust in his craft. The most convincing reason to start my treatment was when I repeatedly saw his orthodontic patients for their regular cleanings with me and case after case their smiles were perfect. Ive been going to DeJesus Dental Group for the over two years. Everybody is really nice and they really care about your health. Ive had cleanings done by both Melanie and Samantha. Melanie has been coming one hour early to do my cleanings for the last two years. Samantha stayed one day when she was about to leave for the day to clean my teeth. They were both so gentle I barely felt them as they were cleaning my teeth. I love this place and I dont ever see myself leaving it.

Very slick; unethical. Went there with a coupon because I was unemployed and under-insured; they told me I needed $500-6000 worth of work (3 or 4 cavities, removing plaque below gumline). Then they took me to a room where a team of 2 or 3 employees intensely pressured me to sign up for a dental expense "credit card". I went for a second opinion a few months later (to another dentist) and was told I had a clean bill of health -- no cavities, no need for operations!
