I have been a long time customer at the McConnels location, over 13 years. I was glad when they opened the location in Rock Hill, SC as It is closer to where I live. They have always given my dog good care until recently. I guess its just like everything else, its all about the money now. If I could give them less than one star I would. My old dog Dan needed emergency care and I took him to Dr Mcgarity because I thought he was bleeding to death. although he took x rays he could find nothing wrong. Kept him a few days on fluids and antibiotics and still could find nothing wrong however when I went to pick him up he was still bleeding from his pee hole. So I get no answers from them on his condition that is causing this. Then after I had told Dr McGarity that he was 13 years old and I could not spend thousands of dollars on him and then have to put him to sleep, he charged me almost $400.00 for his 2 days of care. Then when I picked him up and I told the girl at the front desk that I could not pay all of it now as I had just spent $170.00 there the prior week and I could pay $100.00 now and make arrangements for the rest later, she went to ask the Dr if that would be OK. She said the Dr said I would need to pay $200.00, again I told her I did not have it now and what I could pay now was $100.00. She then told me I would have to leave the dog until I got the $200.00. I informed her I was not leaving the dog. She said she had a right to keep him. I disagreed and informed her that I wanted to speak with McGarity. I could understand if I had just walked in off the streets and they didt know me or my dog, but this was not the case. Anyway McGarity and I had some discussion and agreed to payment plan. However I dont believe they are someone I want caring for my dog anymore and I suggest you also think about using them or a different Vet. I also dont like the fact that they will use you as their Vet assistant. I dont mind if they are paying me or giving me a discount but that is not the case. I trusted that these people Knew what they were doing. But it is obvious that they do not. It cost me my Dog. I would strongly suggest you go somewhere else if you care about your animals

We were so excited when this facility opened close to our house. Our groomer for our little girl (Arabella, a bichon) had retired and this facility was less than 2 miles from where we live. The second groomer at Palmetto, Karen was wonderful, she was professional, accommodating and courteous. Arabella was loved and had the best haircut of her life. She looked fantastic!!! Unfortunately, since their grand opening in April of this year, they are on their 3rd groomer, way to much turn over. Karen is no longer there and the new groomer Helen is awful. She is RUDE and has NO passion for the care of an animal. During the visit today, Helen called to informed me that she was going to shave Arabella because in her opinion she had knots and did NOT want to brush her out. I informed her that she was NOT to shave our puppy. In my opinion, out of anger toward us, Helen took it upon herself to shave Arabella down to the bare skin against my wishes. arabella is chapped, has no hair and looks awful. Arabella is 4 1/2 years old and has been groomed over 40 times and has never come home completely shaved. Helen chose to take the lazy approach and instead of brushing her out, she thought she would prove a point to us that we should brush her more, so she shaved her to the bare skin. When we picked Arabella up, In my opinion, I think Helen knew that she had disrespected us and went against our wishes. She immediately gave me the contact information for the previous groomer that we could use in the future. If you care anything for your pets as we do, I highly discourage you from taking them to this facility. No professional groomer, would do something so cruel, offend customers and then laugh about it and recommend another professional as her parting gift to her evil act. So as our parting gift to Helen - we are sharing mine and her recommendation with the rest of the world. Karen Lee (She is awesome !!!) now works at All Paws

Alright so I have gone here several times with each of my fur babies and I have experienced a range of services. From blatant rudeness to a doctor basically telling me I dont know my own cat. I noticed my cat ( who is naturally a little thing) had a bit of a bulge in her belly and having had a lot of experience with pregnant animals I had the inclination that she was pregnant. Well because she is so small I took her here to make sure she wouldnt have and complications. To which the doctor told me she couldnt feel any babies and that she couldnt take X-Rays until she was 45 days, which is just 15 days shy of the end of a cats gestation period, which would have been fine, but when i asked her what would cause my babies belly to bulge that way if she wasnt pregnant she didnt asnwer me just avioded the question. So I said alright Im bring her back in a week or so, a week after that she had babies that are now two weeks old today. So given the math that means she had to be atleast 50-55 days into her gestation. Just goes to show that doctors dont know your babies as well as you do.

I love Dr. McGarity and Dr. Love and their staff! I have been with Palmetto Vets for years and was super happy when they opened the Rock Hill Location. I take all my animals to them. Most importantly, they were there for me and my family during a difficult and heartbreaking time. The care and compassion my little Chihuahua Daisy received was so wonderful...from the time she was diagnosed til the end, they were a constant help to us. They even helped me make final arrangements. Way above and beyond what they were required to do. Thank you Dr. Love and Dr. McGarity and staff!

Our 15 year old baby had to have a mammo tumor removed not only did they not charge us an arm and leg, but they were outstanding in care, very friendly staff, and informative from beginning to end. I was very pleased with doctors and staff at the Rock Hill facility and will go there for all my needs for my furry babies! Thank you!

Doctor Stallings is one of the most caring vets I have had for my pets. Roscoe, (My divo), is doing well and resting comfortably. I ALSO would like to thank the assistance of the helpers, very sweet and kind. This will be the place to go for your pets.!!.✴
