UPDATE!! April called me to discuss our visit. After the conversation I do feel confident that they did take care of our dogs issue. They were ready in the back and so that is why it was taken care of so quickly. As for the issues with Robert, part of it was explained to my satisfaction. Other parts were discussed and while I am not fully comfortable with the explanations given, I was assured that our issue was an isolated incident. And that this was very out of character for Robert. Do I believe April in these regards.. yes I do believe she was sincere. I however would still not allow Robert around MY pet. Just one of those things that a first bad impression is a lasting impression. I originally gave a 1 star but have upgraded it to 3 stars. Reason being they obviously did care enough to follow up and discuss this with us. And April was very reassuring that this was an isolated incident. And our previous visit we thought they were a very caring veterinarian service. However I cannot give more than 3 stars because isolated incident or not explanations or not the issue of her being drug down the hall did happen and there is no excuse for that. Would I give them another chance.. yes I would but without Robert. This was a very bad and upsetting visit. We took our dog in for a very minor treatment. I called ahead and was told I would not need an appt to just come in. We had been there before but again reminded them that our dog was dog aggressive. They allowed us to come in the back way. Robert went to take our dog leash and when asked why, we were told that the treatment would be in the back without us. I explained this was new to us as we had always been present before at any clinic with any pet. But he stated this was their policy. It was a minor treatment so we went ahead. We gave him the leash and explained again that she was dog aggressive and the waiting area they had to go by was full of dogs. He said no problem. We also stated that he needed to be careful as her back legs were very weak (she is an older dog). He said he noticed that when she was walking over. He then proceeds to walk away with her and her back legs went out from under her. He is not even paying any attention and is dragging her down the hall literally!! I was horrified and felt terrible for my pet!! I called to him as I ran up to help her back up and he ignores me and continues to drag her down the hall way not even looking back!!!! I get her upright and by this time we are by the waiting area and another dog is RIGHT there. Thank goodness the owner of the other dog was paying attention and pulled his dog back or it would have been very bad!! Robert acted like nothing had happened and took her back. She was gone for literally 3 mins or less. While the procedure she needed is quick it seemed REALLY fast to us!! but we hoped they had actually taken care of her. Today we find that they either did not do anything at all, or did not do the procedure correctly!! We will now have to take her back to the vet but it will NOT be this vet!!! I do NOT recommend this vet to anyone!! They did not show my dog any care or compassion whatsoever!!

Ebenezer is by far the worst veterinarian facility I have ever dealt with next to Catawba Animal. They have hidden fees in the boarding cost, they charged me $12 a day to give one of my dogs a pill they prescribed to her without my permission while I was away on vacation. I always asked the day I drop them off for boarding and when I make the reservation, how much per dog per day. Well the last time we boarded with them, it was supposed to be $12 a day. When we get the bill right at pick up, it was $17 a day per dog, plus some examinations on all of my dogs which they didn’t need because they were up to date on everything. The last straw was when we booked reservations to board all 3 of our dogs over the New Year’s holiday. I made the reservations 2 months in advance. I called less than a week before to confirm. The day we were to drop them off, we drove up and they were closed. No one in the office, no one was picking up the phone. We had nonrefundable airplane tickets on a plane that was leaving in less than 4 hours at this point. No one called to tell me that they would be closed and we had to eat those tickets thanks to these idiots. I of course left them a message about their screw up and it took them 4 days to call me back. Their excuse: We tried to call you but we don’t have your correct number on file (not true, I have had the same number for years and have gotten calls from them in the past) and we also had you down to drop off one of your dog’s two days before and the other two the day we were closed. Why in the hell would I drop one off two days before and the other two another day? I like to make my life simple and drop them all at once, thank you! And if they knew they were going to be closed, why did they make the reservation in the first place and confirm it with me when I called exactly 5 days before? No apologies, just stupid excuses. I am done with these people. The turnaround on doctor’s is ridiculous too. The admin people in the office are incompetent. Whoever runs this place obviously doesn’t care about this customer with her 3 cats and 3 dogs. I left this place once before for Catawba Animal but those people are even more money hungry and uncaring as Ebenezer. Take your pets someplace else. I’m still looking for a place and I have told all my friends that have pets at Ebenezer to find other places to go and they have.

This is the most unfriendly vet with no compassion. We brought our dog in several times with blood in the urine and they could not seem to cure him. While I dont fault them for the medication, I do fault them for their lack of compassion. When I brought in my dog for the first time with blood in his urine, I had an appointment and wasnt seen until an hour and a half after I had been scheduled. Not to mention, a woman walked in with her dog and had no appointment, and she was in and out before I was. The second time I came in for a urine analysis, they told me that they only do drop offs for the urine. We explained to them that our dog would not drink if we were to leave him in the cage, so that wasnt an option. When they finally took him back they said that they could not get any urine out of him and so we had to continue to bring him back. My sister (who is a nurse) sterilized a jar and when we got home, our dog peed immediately and we were able to capture enough for an analysis. When we called and explained this to them, the receptionist was very rude and said that they only do drop offs and they would not accept outside urine. So finally, on our 3rd visit, we brought him in and they took him back to get urine. We told them that he would have to pee because he had not peed all day. What did they do when they took him back? They set him down on the table where he peed. The girl came out and said that they cannot accept it because it wasnt sterile. On our 4th visit the next morning, we sat there from 7:45 until 9:30 when the doctor finally came out and gave our dog a prescription, which didnt work. When we called again to get another appointment, the girl at the desk told us that they only do drop offs. I told her that I would be at work, so I cannot bring him in the morning and it would have to be after school. She refused to give me an appointment unless I would be bringing him in the morning. Needless to say, we changed vets that day to the Rock Hill Animal Hospital where they immediately did x-rays and found that bladder stones. He is recovering from surgery as we speak. If you are looking for a vet, I recommend Rock Hill Animal Hospital. They were friendly, caring, and they treated my dog with compassion- unlike Ebenezer.
