Firstly, doctor Luis and the rest of the staff seemed nice and there was no issue with them at all. My pets visit was to obtain a health certificate to have my pet flown back home. When I arrived I was informed by the asian nurse Ruby that I needed my pets prior veterinary information if I had any to help us move along a little quicker with the visit. I was not under the impression that I needed any of that information, nor was I told by anyone before my visit that I would. A little mistake on my part maybe but whatever. So I told Ruby that I didnt realize that I would need it. Her response was simply "Health certificate... Health information" as if I should know this. So in my head I was thinking... "Sorry Ruby, Im not like you, I dont work in a veterinary clinic. I am not well versed in the paperwork needed - .-". I said I was sorry, I didnt know I needed it. Her response was "thats okay, were here to edumacate" in a nonchalant manner. I for one excel at the art of sarcasm and was immediately under the impression that she was calling me stupid. I went home and returned by approximately 10 a.m. and was told that everything should be done by around 3 p.m or so, that they would be closing early that day at 5:00 p.m and I would be notified when everything was completed. Come 4:15 p.m still no call so I drove to Banfield to pick up my animal by around 4:30 or so. No one ever said sorry for not calling or anything of the sort. What would have happened if I wasnt there by 5:00 p.m to pick up my pet? - .- Again, the rest of the staff was really nice. But I believe someone needs to have their attitude checked.

the wait may be a little long if you go late in the day, but if it is excessive they offer a special discount. I find that there are no problems if you schedule early in the morning, or you can opt for a drop off which is very convenient when my dog is due for her comprehensive exam and I have to work. if you like a specific doctor, I personally recommend Dr Tanner, all you have to do is ask for an appointment with them when you schedule. the wellness plan is a godsend for me. my dog is prone to frequent ear infections and utis. with the visits, vaccinations, preventative tests, and dental cleaning included, plus an additional percentage off of anything not, I couldnt afford to not have it. all of the staff have always been extremely friendly for the almost 6 years weve been going to this location and all of them know my dog by name and shower her with so much attention that she likes going to the vet. vetinary care is expensive, but the doctors here will try to help you out as much as they can. when my dog had to have a mass removed from her ear, the doctor arranged it so that he could do the surgery at the same time as the teeth cleaning that was included in her plan. this made it so that I didnt have to pay for about half of the surgery costs since they were already covered, dropping the bill from about $800 to less than $400. again, I would highly recommend this location.

have account with them in Duval County when I moved Orange County a year-and-a-half ago I got a new pet I bring my pet to the John Young location . they say that he had a food allergy but come to find out my baby had mites it took them all whole month and him losing all his fur to find out that he had dermatitis... I nursed him back to health I no longer have him he was adopted we now have a new pet I took him in there trying to trust them once again with this pet. Dur to some vomiting and weakness .they called me later on telling me that my baby was going to die that he needed emergency surgery that I had to pay $400 and something dollars to get X-rays and a fecal testing possibility of me taking an out of credit so I can have emergency surgery done on my baby took him from there took him to another vet for a second opinion that same day come to find out all he needed was to be dewormed and his up-to-date shots. Theyre all about money and not the care of the animals they treat I will never bring another one of my babies in there... And im still paying on the first account and i dont have the dog any more it would hace cost me 450.00 plus 40.00 to cancel so every month for 6 more months im paying ...

CANNOT beat this location. I purposely plan a road trip to Orlando so I can bring the cats to this location, 8 hours away (I live 4 hours from any Banfield so might as well go a little further for my favorite location) because of the staff and experiences Ive had at THIS LOCATION. Ive been to many vets and now only Banfields as Ive moved around many, many times for my career. This one is BY FAR the #1 location. I have yet to experience a more top notch group of veterinarians than this Banfield. Most Banfields (with the exception of Doral, FL) are generally better than any other non-Banfield clinics Ive been to. I live in Key West, FL. I have had Wellness Plans for 2 of my cats for years because you cant beat those. You almost pay that in shots each year and these plans include dental! If your cat is very young and has healthy teeth and all you need are shots and its strictly an indoor cat, you can probably get away without the Wellness Plan. If it ever goes outside, or is getting to 6-7 years of age or teeth arent that healthy, I HIGHLY recommend the Wellness Plan. I DEFINITELY recommend this location above any others though! Kudos to the ENTIRE staff here. Thank you, K

Wort place ever, we took or dog because it had some red spots on the skin, they made I dont know how many exams and charged more than $ 400 (first visit) they gave a medication that didnt do anything, I came back after medication finish and our dog was still the same, they wanted to do the same exams again so I refused and they said ok, lets Give him a new prescription for two more months, another $200 after 2 months the same, we called them and they said that it was our fault because we didnt wanted to do the exams again, jejejeje we took her to a new veterinarian, and after seeing her for 2 minutes she told us that she had a common illness in this dogs, (no exams) now after a $ 30 medication and a $60 total bill our dog Is finally well and happy again. Please if you love your dog dont take it here, WORST PLACE EVER! Veterinarian rude, nurse rude, you have to wait for hours and VERY EXPENSIVE! I dont mind paying for a service but this was almost like a scam!

Worst vet ever...Dr. Burns. Has had my cats treatment results since yesterday....no response yet. If you dont have an up sold insurance plan with them your animal gets bare minimium treatment. Over 400 dollars spent and they could not get urine from my cat twice..the cat peed as they were putting her under...still put the cat under....all they want is your money. Find another place! My dog got neutered by this location... came back fear aggressive....pretty sure they abused him in someway...our home banfield (which after the cat episode no more banfields) he is fine when we go in there a little nervous...when we had to take him back to this banfield I had to drag him in the room. Update...we mentioned cancelling their precious insurance plans and we got a doctor...the words should not be life threatening came out....some type of bed side manner these people have.
