Angry. Very angry. Youd think Id learn. But no, I keep thinking theyre going to pull it together. Jack Lake is a good medical provider. He cares and knows his stuff. The office SUCKS. I get notified that I need to have a medical consult before getting a prescription refilled with two words on the prescription label. No calls, no email. Im glad I noticed it. I call to make an appointment with my doctor, Jack. Hes on vacation. Can you believe it? I couldnt. So, I made an appointment for the next Wednesday with another provider in the office. I showed up early to fill out some paperwork because theyre on a new computer system. They look up my appointment. They screwed it up and set it for Friday. I spend the rest of the week looking for another doctors office. I didnt find one yet. I show up on Friday, fill out the paperwork and they check to see which doctor Im supposed to see. A jaw dropping response. That doctor is out of the office. (At a conference but that doesnt matter.) Theres no one else I can see in a reasonable time but they take my prescription information to Jacks nurse who says she promises to get Jack to OK and send in to the pharmacy by the end of the day. I wait until near the end of the day and call the pharmacy. Nothing. I ask them to call the doctors office and see what they can do. They are on hold from before 4 pm until 4:58 when they give up. (Yay Walgreens on Hoyt) I call the office. Their website says theyre open until 6:00. I get the message service. They call the on call doctor at 6:30 who is very polite and says shell call it in. Ive had troubles in the past but this is the worst. Sorry, Jack, I wont be back. Edit on July 22nd: I had an appointment with Dr. Jack for the 29th just in case I couldnt find a replacement before my Rx ran out. Got a call this morning. Dr, Jack will be out of the office that entire week. "Do I want to reschedule?", they ask. I have an appointment with another provider, at a different clinic, for this Friday.

I am honestly confused at what happened, Me and my husband both had a appointment with Estrelino Velasco, M.D. on the same day. My husbands earlier in the day then mine. The first appointment went well he seemed nice and attentive he listened to all my husbands problems and generally helped him. Come back 4 hours later for my appointment and it was like a totally different doctor, he stood with his back to me most of the time, when I brought up my weight loss and loss of appetite which has been foremost on my mind, he blew it off , never talked about it , or how it effected me. I felt like I was bothering him, he was more interested in changing a medicine that I spent 4 years finding that treated my symptoms and that causes me no ill effects and I have been on for a year problem free just so he could see the cause. Currently looking for a new doctor. Update: My husband decided to give the clinic a second chance, After Estrelino Velasco, MD changed his dosage on his diabetes meds with out telling him, he was unfairly punished for being a few minutes late, sorry 8 minutes late for appointment does not mean you sit there for a extra hour. Dont dare complain, how dare you complain to them. This place is the Comcast of Doctors Clinics, your appointment time is not set for that time, its a window.

My wife has gone here twice, waited an hour, and Dr Orencia came in and looked at her for 5 mins. The first time my wife had some sort of cold and Dr Orencia looked at her visually and prescribed antibiotics for pnuemonia. The second time was this week and my wife is pregnant but got some sort of rash. She waited an hour and then Dr Orencia came in and spent 5 minutes with her. She looked at the rash and said they were all bug bites. My wife told her they were not and she said my wife must have been camping or something and forgot!? Because she is pregnant Dr orencia said there is nothing my wife can take and she refused to refer to her a dermatologist or someone else. So my wife went to her OB and the OB told her never to go see Dr Orencia again. Turns out she has shingles and now the kids have it too. Could have avoided it if Dr Orencia wasnt so negligent. The funny thing is, we were talking to a friend and she had a VERY similar experience with the same Doctor.

Man I hate going here. but you gotta do what you gotta do, right? feel like Im being herded out as fast as possible. how dare you ask about another problem while you are here! you need another appointment for that. because that wouldnt make sense while I was here. I honestly have never been treated here. they just refer you to else where, which 99% chance they dont take my insurance of course. Healthcare is not about your health or care, Its about money and seeing as many people in 1 day as possible! pretty sad.

They are unwilling, or unable to diagnose or administer care. Theyve become nothing more than a referral service. No matter the concern, they will refer you to a "specialist" often scheduling months out. I used to be quite satisfied with the level of care. Now, it seems as if they want to get you in and out as quickly as possible.

I have been seeing Jack Lake Pack for 2 years and he is an excellent doc He listens and does not just rush you out and he makes sure your taken care of and he has plenty of experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good Dr.

Cannot say enough about Jack. This man is a straight shooter who cares about your health, and YOU as a person. Everytime I go in I hear his fantastic belly laugh coming from an exam room. My husband and I would follow him anywhere.

I am a new patient and have tried several times to set up my FIRST appointment and still have not been able to get a hold of a human being. I will be switching my PCP Orencia to someone I can actually come in and see.
