Leo went to this doctor when I first got him as a little puppy, and now again after moving back from Savannah. He is very affordable and very knowledgeable ! I wouldnt recommend anyone else. Leo came back from Savannah with an ear infection that the vet tried to treat for 5 months. The vet in Savannah put him on antibiotics that hurt his stomach and treated the infection as if it were systemic. He wouldnt let me touch his ears because they were always inflamed ! I told the vet to work with me on finding other solutions to trying to treat his ear but with no help until I moved back to Clearwater and contacted Dr. Glenn Smith at Sunshine Animal Hospital. Once he visited Dr. Smith at Sunshine Animal Hospital his ear infection improved right away ! I told Dr. Smith what the problem was and he worked with me on improving Leos infections. Leo was given a gel medicine that was put in his ear and that way I wouldnt have to struggle in trying to put ear drops in his ears. He didnt put him on any oral antibiotics like the other vet. Also, it was such a relief to pay half of what the other vet in Savannah was charging. Like I said, wouldnt recommend anyone else ! Leo and I are very thankful for Dr. Smith and the Sunshine Animal Hospital :)

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Smith at Sunshine Animal Hospital for about eight years now. I am very picky about my vets and actually changed three times before we found Sunshine Animal Hospital. We changed to and have stayed with Dr. Smith after we adopted our Springer Spaniel rescue, Sofie, because ESRA uses them locally for their fosters. Every person on their staff is always thorough and kind, and Dr Smith is both an excellent veterinarian and is a very compassionate man. I really couldnt ask for more from this excellent practice. I am not afraid to show my name with this review. Keep that in mind when you read the other review that was posted anonymously. They have the right to their opinion, but as a long-term client, I can tell you that I feel very differently and think the world of Dr. Smith and the staff at Sunshine Animal Hospital. I think that the majority of people who try this practice will really love them. We do.

Ive had my dog for 8 yrs. Love and care for her as part of the family. I was treated like crap by this man for no apparent reason. I even went back thinking that the care and attitude of the vet and staff might improve. It did not. My dog had an injury on her paw that he assumed was from walking her on hot pavement. I am not an idiot and It was not from that. Rather than treating me with respect or caring for my pet properly he was insulting and negligent. I have since gone to another vets office and resolved the infection she had on one paw from insect bite or cut. And resolved several other concerns that he could not properly diagnose with a quick examination. Would highly recommend that you take any and all of your animals to ANY OYHER VET! I usually dont go out of my way to review businesses, but I feel strongly about this bad service and care.

Loved the staff here. I showed up without an appointment with my cat, and they fit me into what was very clearly a busy day for them. I had no clue what my cat had but they helped her. They administered a couple shots and the vet spent over an hour with us, answering all my questions and concerns. The second best part was, I was expecting a bill close to $250 and the visit all included was only $95.

Dr Brauer is very knowledgeable and she also offers alternative therapies for your animal. All my dogs love her. She took great care with a few of ours that had health issues that eventually took them from us but she helped them have great quality of life that they would not have had without her. No idea what Emma is talking about. Now Dr Aimee Burke is there and she is amazing too

I took my German shepherd in to have an initial exam and an x ray. I called animal hospitals from St pete to tarpon Springs, and sunshine animal hospital had the best prices. The assistants were very helpful, and the doctor was extremely informative. This is definitely not another place out to make money off of you, I felt as though they actually did care. Id reccomend to all.

When Dr. Smith was still there, he was great and we saw him for 20 years. Then Dr. Bauer took over. She is horribly rude, doesnt give your pet full physical exams and isnt helpful at all. It is sad because Dr. Smith was incredible. I wouldnt recommend Dr. Bauer to anyone. Find a different vet because she isnt the right one!

Dr. Brauer has been our vet for over 7 years. She has taken care of and treated my dogs as if they were her own! She does acupuncture and laser treatment which was hugely beneficial to one of my beagles. I trust her with their lives and that is so important when choosing a doctor for your fur-children.

I have been going to Dr. Smith for 13 years with my cats and am very happy with the service and care my cats have gotten from him and his friendly staff. It turns out my boss also takes her dog to Sunshine Animal Hospital and she is very happy with Dr. Smith as well!! I would recommend him to anyone!

Went here today for a post adoption checkup for my new puppy. The people here really care, everyone from to the techs to the doctors were very informative and extremely nice. This was my first Vet visit in Florida, and i have to say I was very pleased and would recommend Sunshine to any one!!!

I would not trust my girls with anyone but Dr. Aimee. Happy she is no longer with Haines Road Animal, their prices were just too high and continually going higher. I would drive to different state for Dr. Aimee, she is that good. Nice staff at Sunshine too, no attitude issues here.
