After taking my older dog (16 years old) to this animal hospital in May 2013 he has deteriorated to the point where he is almost deaf and no longer recognizes anyone in less than 2 months--possibly due to being sedated for x-rays while under her care. Did not wish to accommodate me in administering an LDDS test (to determine if he had Cushings Disease) in the manner suggested by most Vets--to bring him in at 4 hour intervals (2 of them) in order for him not to be stressed by being there all day and skewing results for this test ... I am one minute away from this hospital. I Asked her to call me and I am still waiting for the call, even though I went into office twice to ask to speak to her or have her call me at her convenience. Thankfully, another area Vet said he would have no problem administering the test this way. This animal hospital is all about the money--no compassion at all. And upon finally speaking with her today she was rude and dispassionate. For anyone out there reading---older animals should not be sedated without a very good reason to do so. i.e. life saving surgery, etc... Our Vets should have a little more compassion with senior animals--thankfully, there are many Vets out there who do. She, however, is not one of them. You would do well to go elsewhere.

Pretty sure this place gave my dog fleas. They keep a towel on the examining table and a blanket underneath which I find unsanitary. My dog who has never had a flea on him had fleas the very next day after his visit. When I called them they made it seem like it was my fault for not having my dog on their toxic flea prevention and that he probably did get it from there because thats "normal". They push all kinds of stuff on you and you walk out there spending at least twice as much as you intended. This is unfortunate because they are right down the street from me but I would rather travel over the bridge to Biscayne Blvd to go to a vet that I can trust wont make me unload my bank account on crap my dog doesnt need or give my dog fleas- which I am STILL dealing with. Ugh.

Be very careful and make sure you ask questions about every single test or "intervention" they conduct on your pet during a routine visit. They would take millions of swabs and charge you through the nose for tests you didnt ask for, were unnecessary, without even consulting with you. They will then "send you home" with some product and add that to your bill. The lack of transparency is just ridiculous. You take your healthy pet for a routine check up and you leave with a $400 dollars bill. Wont go there again. Fool me once...

This place nearly killed my beloved dog. She was unable to breathe and urgently needed to be put into an oxygen chamber. We called ahead to ask if they had one. They said yes. We arrived and they said they couldnt help us and it was too late for my beloved dog... she was going to die. We made it just in time to the Knowles Animal Hospital and since found Dr Robert Prosek who is the foremost animal cardiologist in S.Florida. He saved my dogs life, no thanks to this place.

Im new to Miami, and tried one other vet before a co-worker recommended this vet. I have two cats, one had cancer and the other needed teeth removed. Both of these issues are stressful! The front desk person is very kind whenever we come in, and the vets are very good at communicating the problem, the costs, and about follow-up. They also interact in a nice way with the cats; the first vet I saw was a bit too rough with them for my comfort level.

I have never encountered a Vet as kind and compassionate nor a staff as dedicated anywhere at any time. They can not do enough to make you feel at ease and to make you feel as if your animal is the most important animal in the world. I would recommend this animal clinic to anyone in search of superb health care for their pet. 5 stars!!

Careless rude service. You will be overcharged, upcharged, tricked, and treated as if they are doing you a favor by speaking to you. The vet couldnt care less about your pet. There are NO animal lovers here. Since the turnover, this place has become horrific.

I took my dog there. The receptionist gave me a stronger dosis on my pets medicine because she was talking to her husband on the phone. My dog died 2 hours later. No apologies or sympathy. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have taken my kitties to two other vets in South Beach and no one compares! Their prices are way below average and more importantly, their staff is super friendly and they really care about animals. Dont go anywhere else!
