My cat had a tapeworm that was treated at another vet (that I will not return to), but he was still having diarrhea an entire week after treatment, and had it for a week before the tapeworm segments showed. I brought both of my cats because I also felt that at their age, and having never had a dental exam, they really should. To my delight, my experience was not at all like it was at the other vet I went to. The tech (Jenny I believe?) was very sweet to my cats, she even let them come out and wander the room while we talked before she handled them. My cats have always done well at the vet because they are used to being handled, but I did feel that my cats did better here than theyve ever done at any other place, even after having had a rough vet experience only a week before. It was very clear that the tech and Dr. Baskin were very professional and very well informed. They listened to my concerns, asked questions, and lined up several options for me to try (should the first option not work) in order to treat my cats diarrhea. As a bonus, the other cat that I brought in had very good dental health with only a small amount of calculus on one of his teeth (which the vet got off easily with her fingernail - why didnt I think of that?!), so his exam was free. They added that it was also because of my bad experience at the other vet - I was touched that they would do that for me even though it had nothing to do with them. The cat with the diarrhea has stage two periodontal disease (not bad for his age and the age that I adopted him), and they gave me a very thorough estimate for the procedure to get his teeth cleaned which was very reasonable. I found the prices of the services and medications that I received to be extremely reasonable, and I did not feel that they tried to "upsell" me, or offer me any service/medication/diagnostic that I did not need and that was not in the best interest of my cat. I was very impressed with them, and will gladly go back and refer others in my area to them. :)

Late in the evening, my Chihuahua (Popcorn) started to experience what appeared to her choking on something, however, she wasnt choking. She was taking short, shallow, breaths, mixed with a gagging noise and behaving as though she was in distress. Her little body was shaking and she was clearly scared. I was, too. I quickly researched the Internet and came across an article that described a condition called "Reverse Sneezing. She had all the symptoms described in the article, so I thought thats what was happening. The article stated that the condition was short lived and shed soon be back to normal. However, that didnt happen. The next morning she was still exhibiting the same symptoms, so I rushed her to Kingwood Crossing Animal Hospital who have taken care of her since she was only 8 weeks old. Dr. Centers exam her and wasnt able to, definitively, find a cause of her condition other than perhaps she was experiencing a reaction to the pollens in the air. Houston is notorious for pollen allergies, especially this time of the year. I agreed with her diagnosis and brought her home with the unstanding that if it continued, Id take her back for possible X-rays. In the meantime, Dr. Centers prescribed steroid medications to help her overcome the allergy and by late afternoon Popcorn was back to being her old self and I was a very relieved pet owner. I have been using the services of Kingwood Animal Hospital for over 14 years and the staff there have always taken exceptional care of Popcorn and my Australian Shepard (mix), Charlie. They are very courteous and friendly and the care is top notch. In addition to the veterinarian services, the staff in the grooming department are equally as courteous, friendly and very professional. I highly recommend Kingwood Animal Hospital and am grateful for the care they give my little companions.

Very dissapointed in this vet clinic. I have been taking my animals here for more than 5 years. Since their expansion, things have been going downhill. Wait time to get in a room was nothing. It was the wait time to see the vet(I had an appointment)that was 45 minutes and thats after I went out and asked how much longer it was going to be. I set my appointment with a specific vet and I got another vet. I told her I set an appointment with a specific vet. She told me that the vet I set an appointment with doesnt even work on the day I had the appointment. The people at the front desk had called me to tell me they were running a special on blood panels for cats so, I brought my cat up and they told me the senior blood panel wasnt discounted it was only a regular blood panel. Wasted appointment and a trip. On another occasion, I special ordered food. They called and told me it was in. I called back to confirm and it was the wrong food. I had to wait almost another week for it. Its obvious that the main problem lies with the front office staff. I understand they want to be friendly but, carrying on long conversations while there is a line of people is not professional. I always knew this vet clinic was pricey but, I always thought the quality of service my vet gave was worth the cost. Not anymore.

Kings Crossing treated my 25 year old dog and did an emergency surgery for $1200 that other vets were asking $2500 to even $6000 dollars for. Banfield who I was supposed to get discounts for being in a wellness plan wanted $5000. Then they did not even have a vet qualified to do the surgery at several Houston locations. I am from NC and was traveling in Texas . Dr. Bumgardner ( forgive if mis-spell) did the surgery on MeMe and she made 100% recovery. Many vets were were worried because MeMe was so old but she came through well. I made a follow up appointment 3 months later when I was traveling in Texas again because I felt this clinic saved my dogs life (no doubt) and we wanted to spend our money there. In addition when I returned to the clinic for the follow up 3 months later , THEY REFUSED TO TAKE ANYMORE PAYMENT other than the original $1200 we paid for the surgery months before. I see some negative reviews on here and I cant speak for other people but I can say this clinic got the surgery needed for my dog into an affordable range and without a doubt saved her life. I dont know about routine vet bills but in my case all I know is this facility saved my dogs life and she is alive today because of this. That speaks volumes and says all I think needs to be said.

After my dog developed a swelling on her nose, I visited 2 different vets. Bought of which (turned out later) gave a wrong diagnosis. After transferring to a specialist, she needed a cat scan. Which turned out to be an great expense. Calling around to the few places in town that actually do this, I came across this Vet. It was required to set an appointment to have her examined first. There we met Dr. Baskin (which is no longer with them, very sad!). She actually cared to help my dog! What seams to be a very rare thing these days. Dr. Baskin, went over and beyond from what you expect from a vet. Since the machine was so new that no one actually used it yet, she agreed to try it with my dog. Even stayed after closing to get the results and inform me of such. It all worked out great and the operation could be done by the specialist. Total coast was reduced significant enough to go thru with it. Now that I have a new pet, I am glad to have them in my corner to care for this one as well.
