My little dog had a reaction to spot on flea treatment with neurological symptoms. She developed a skin infection from it too. Well, the vet did catch the skin problem and gave antibiotics but dismissed the neurological symptoms. We went home, only to have her get worse not long after getting there. I called back and demanded they give her something for pain. When I went up to get it the vet actually said that he thought it might be behavioral. For the last four years she has always been a very happy dog with no issues. Why overnight would she suddenly scream out in the middle of the night, have tremors and spasms, yelp and scream with every step? Shes never done anything like that before. He was very condescending in his tone. Ive worked with dogs and trained them for many years. I know dogs and I especially know my own; I know something is wrong. She was taken somewhere else. Anywhere but here. The only reason I gave it a two star rating is because the receptionist was nice.

I have to be honest. the day before i took my babies to see Dr Shirey. I went up to alexis animal clinic to feel them out and see how they were. you can pick up on people when they love what there doing, when theyre friendly and good hearted. from the minute i walked in, i was met with friendly people. and were happy to answer any questions that i had. not 3 minutes talking to the lady at the desk dr shirey was there answering my questions. i brought my babies up there the next day and was so amazed how wonderful he was with them. he explained everything to me, and welcomed questions..im very impressed. i wont take my babies to anyone else. thank you very much

Ive used this clinic twice and I am pleased overall with the care my pets received. The staff are friendly and courteous. The vet was not the regular vet who works there, but a relief vet. I dont doubt his competence and he spent a good bit of time explaining things. My only criticism is there appears to be a break down in communication between the staff themselves and the vet and the staff. It was kind of like the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. I will consider taking my pets back, but I would like to see an improvement in the way they communicate with each other.

Horrible experience here. I brought my very sick dog here and they saw him multiple times for days while he was extremely sick. The vet said that he could not figure out what was wrong with my dog. After about a week of non stop, unhelpful visits, I took him somewhere else for a second opinion. Immediately the new vet saw things in the x-rays and put him on an IV. He died later that night of distemper, and the vet said that what he saw on the x-ray was pretty hard to miss. To sum it up, there are plenty of unanswered questions but I will never go to Alexis Animal Clinic again.

.I left Mr. Wiggles there for 3 days. The staff made friends with him. The staff was very nice. I could not remember when he had his shots - they called the place where he was vaccinated and started him a record. They told me they would send me a reminder notice when his shots were due. The tech. carried his carrier out to my car for me. The clinic is very nice and very clean.

The Dr is top notch. Hes very gentle and good at his job. He took care of my dog Brownie today after he was hit by a car. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Prices are good they dont charge you an arm and a leg to help your pet.... Loved the experience. Ill take all my pets here from now on.
